    Abstract As a two-dimensional (2D) semiconductor material with excellent optoelectronic properties, black phosphorus (BP) has attracted widespread attention. It was found that the energy band structure of BP crystal changes with its thickness if BP is thin. To explore the accurate effects of the BP thicknesses on devices, BP-FETs with different BP thickness (50 nm, 40 nm, 30 nm, 20 nm, and 6 nm) as the channel material were fabricated by mechanical exfoliation technique. The output characteristics and transfer characteristics of the BP-FETs were analyzed in detail. The source–drain current ( I ds ) of devices is directly related to the BP thickness. The larger the BP thickness, the larger the I ds obtained under the same gate voltage modulation, but the electric field modulation effect decreases. Especially, the correlation between I ds and BP thickness can be described by a semi-empirical formula, which predicts that only when the BP thickness is less than 21.7 nm, the band structure of BP will be significantly affected by the thickness. The mobility of the carrier increases with the increasing of the BP thickness; for BP thickness of 6 nm, 20 nm, 30 nm, 40 nm, and 50 nm, the mobility is about 52.5 cm 2 /Vs, 187.5 cm 2 /Vs, 214.4 cm 2 /Vs, 252.5 cm 2 /Vs, and 336.4 cm 2 /Vs. Finally, the 50 nm BP in FET was etched to 30 nm using plasma etching technology to further verify the above experimental results. It also confirmed that plasma etching methods tend to introduce structural damage and impurity elements, which in turn has an impact on the output characteristics of the device.

    Abstract This study aimed to perform a meta‑analysis comparing the efficacy and safety of gefitinib in combination with chemotherapy versus gefitinib alone in patients with advanced Non‑Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC). We searched databases for clinical studies that reported the efficacy or safety of gefitinib plus chemotherapy in comparison with gefitinib alone. Raw data from included studies were extracted and pooled to calculate the Odds Ratio (OR) for Objective Response Rate (ORR) and Disease Control Rate (DCR), the Hazard Ratio (HR) for Progression-Free Survival (PFS) and Overall Survival (OS), and OR for complication ≥ Grade 3. A total of 10 studies containing 1,528 patients with NSCLC were identified and included in the analysis. Gefitinib plus chemotherapy showed significantly better efficacy in improving ORR (OR = 1.54; 95% CI [Confidence Interval], 1.13‒2.1; p = 0.006), DCR (OR = 1.62; 95% CI 1.14‒2.29; p = 0.007), PFS (HR=1.67; 95% CI 1.45‒1.94; p < 0.001) and OS (HR = 1.49; 95% CI 1.2‒1.87; p < 0.001) as compared with gefitinib alone. Consistent results were observed in the sub-population with positive EGFR mutation. The combination of gefitinib with chemotherapy had a significantly higher risk of complication (≥ Grade 3) with an OR of 3.29 (95% CI 2.57‒4.21; p < 0.001). The findings in the present study suggest that the combination of gefitinib with chemotherapy can provide better disease response and survival outcomes for patients with advanced NSCLC.

    Abstract Objective: To explore the effectiveness of the combined anteversion angle technique in total hip arthroplasty (THA) for treating ankylosing spondylitis (AS) affecting the hip joint.
    Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 73 patients with AS affecting the hip joint who underwent THA between August 2018 and August 2021. According to whether the combined anteversion angle technique was used in THA, the patients were divided into study group (37 cases, combined anteversion angle technique was used in THA) and control group (36 cases, traditional THA). There was no significant difference in baseline data such as gender, age, body mass index, disease duration, preoperative Harris score, range of motion (ROM), acetabular anteversion angle, acetabular abduction angle, femoral anteversion angle, and combined anteversion angle between the two groups (

    Abstract Ethnopharmacological relevance: Insect tea is a special non-Camellia tea produced from the feces of insects in ethnic minority regions in Southwest China. Insect tea was recorded to have the traditional functions to treat summer heat, dampness, digestive disturbance, excessive phlegm, shortness of breath and otitis, etc. AIM OF THIS STUDY: This review provides an updated and comprehensive review of insect tea on the tea types, host plants, tea-producing insects, producing process, traditional uses, nutritional values, chemistry, pharmacological activities, biological safety and toxicity. Moreover, the general challenges and the possible suggestions on insect tea in future were also discussed.
    Materials and methods: The relevant literature on insect tea was obtained from scientific database, including Elsevier, PubMed, Springer, Wiley, Web of Science, Google Scholar, SciFinder, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Baidu Scholar, Wanfang Database, etc. In addition, pertinent information available in Ph.D theses, MSc. dissertations, books, records, and some classical Chinese herbal literature were also included. The references cited in this review were up to September 2022.
    Results: Insect tea has been traditionally used as popular beverage with various medicinal functions in the ethnic minority regions in Southwest China for centuries. At present, ten types of insect teas are recorded in different regions. Ten species tea-producing insect and fifteen species host plants are used to in the production of the tea. Insect teas were rich in various nutrients including proteins, carbohydrates, fat, minerals, dietary fiber and Vitamins. A total of 71 compounds have been isolated from insect teas, mainly including flavonoids, ellagitannins, chlorogenic acids and other phenolic compounds as well as the alkaloids. Modern studies demonstrated that insect tea had a variety of pharmacological activities in vitro and in vivo, such as anti-diabetic, lipid-lowing and anti-hypertensive, hepato-protective, gastro-intestinal promoting, anti-cancer, anti-mutagenic, antioxidant, and anti-aging activity, etc. Moreover, existing experimental results showed that insect teas are non-toxicity and biological safety.
    Conclusion: Insect tea is a unique and niche product originated in the ethnic minority regions of Southwest China with various health-promoting benefits. Phenolics including flavonoids, ellagitannins, chlorogenic acids were reported as the main chemical constituents identified from insect tea. Multiple pharmacological activities of insect tea have been reported, which indicated that it had great potential for further development and application as drugs and health-promoting products. However, more studies on the tea-producing insects, host plants, chemistry and pharmacological activity of insect tea, as well as the toxicology should be further investigated.

    Abstract Hydrodynamic cavitation (HC) was a kind of advanced oxidation mode. There were defects in the common HC devices, such as high energy consumption, low efficiency, and easy plugging. In order to effectively utilize HC, it was urgent to research new HC devices and used them together with other traditional water treatment methods. Ozone was widely used as a water treatment agent that does not produce harmful by-products. Sodium hypochlorite (NaClO) was efficient and cheap, but too much chlorine will be harmful to water. The combination of ozone and NaClO with the HC device of propeller orifice plate can improve the dissolution and utilization rate of ozone in wastewater, reduce the use of NaClO, and avoid the generation of residual chlorine.     Abstract Background: The outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) derived from Porphyromonas gingivalis (P. gingivalis) have long been acknowledged for their crucial role in the initiation of periodontitis. However, the implications of P. gingivalis OMVs in the context of cardiovascular disease (CVD) remain incompletely understood. This study aimed to clarify both the impact and the underlying mechanisms through which P. gingivalis OMVs contribute to the propagation of distal cardiovascular inflammation and trauma.
    Methods: In this study, various concentrations (0, 1.25, 2.5, and 4.5 µg/µL) of P. gingivalis OMVs were microinjected into the common cardinal vein of zebrafish larvae at 48 h post-fertilization (hpf) to assess changes in cardiovascular injury and inflammatory response. Zebrafish larvae from both the PBS and the 2.5 µg/µL injection cohorts were harvested at 30 h post-injection (hpi) for transcriptional analysis. Real-time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) was employed to evaluate relative gene expression.
    Results: These findings demonstrated that P. gingivalis OMVs induced pericardial enlargement in zebrafish larvae, caused vascular damage, increased neutrophil counts, and activated inflammatory pathways. Transcriptomic analysis further revealed the involvement of the immune response and the extracellular matrix (ECM)-receptor interaction signaling pathway in this process.
    Conclusion: This study illuminated potential mechanisms through which P. gingivalis OMVs contribute to CVD. It accentuated their involvement in distal cardiovascular inflammation and emphasizes the need for further research to comprehensively grasp the connection between periodontitis and CVD.

    Abstract Chronic kidney disease (CKD) refers to the presence of structural or functional abnormalities in the kidneys that affect health, lasting for more than 3 months. CKD is not only the direct cause of global incidence rate and mortality, but also an important risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Persistent microinflammatory state has been recognized as an important component of CKD, which can lead to renal fibrosis and loss of renal function, and plays a crucial role in the pathophysiology and progression of the disease. Simultaneously, compound α-Ketoacid can bind nitrogen-containing metabolites in the blood and accelerate their excretion from the body, thereby reducing the level of metabolic waste, alleviating gastrointestinal reactions in patients, and reducing the inflammatory response and oxidative stress state of the body. Compound α-Ketoacid contains amino acids required by CKD patients. In this review, we explore the relationship between compound α-Ketoacid and microinflammation in patients with CKD. The review indicated that compound α-Ketoacid can improve the microinflammatory state in CKD patients by improving the nutritional status of CKD patients, improving patient's acid-base balance disorder, regulating oxidative stress, improving gut microbiota, and regulating abnormal lipid metabolism.

    Abstract Matching implants to bones is crucial for customized orthopedic medicine. Existing methods for designing customized implants predominantly adopt the parameterized deformation method that uses a fragmented representation of semantic parameters. Such a representation cannot provide information integration management and therefore restricts the retrieval of information regarding implant features and the improvement of customized design efficiency. Therefore, this study proposes a rapid design method for customized implants based on bionic vein structure features. First, a bionic vein structure was designed to represent the implant type. Second, the bionic vein structure was represented by a digraph structure with morphological and dimensional features. Finally, the implant model was rapidly built by retrieving the sketch and other modeling operations. Common implants such as the T-shaped plate, L-shaped plate, clover plate, and femoral stem prosthesis were used as explanations or test cases. The experimental work shows that combining the traditional parametric deformation method with bionic vein structure features in our present method is flexible and efficient results, and can improve the efficiency of customized implant design.
