Abstract Reversible histone acetylation and deacetylation play an essential role in regulating chromatin structure and gene expression. Histone deacetylases (HDACs) catalyze the removal of acetyl groups from lysine residues of core histones, resulting in closed chromatin structure and transcription repression. Although the HDCAs have been extensively studied in model plants, the HDAC members have not been identified in Phyla nodiflora (L.) Greene (P. nodiflora), a salt-tolerant plant species. Here, 17 PnHDAC genes were identified in the genome of P. nodiflora. Phylogenetic analysis displayed that the PnHDACs were classified into three groups, the RPD3/HDA1-group (11 members), the SIR2-group (2 members) and the plant-specific HD2-group (4 members). Transcription analysis displayed that the gene expression patterns of PnHDACs were affected by salt stress in P. nodiflora seedlings. PnHDT1 and PnHDT2, two HD2-type HDAC proteins were found to be subcellular localized in the nucleolus. Furthermore, overexpressing PnHDT1 and PnHDT2 in Arabidopsis decreased the sensitivity to plant hormone abscisic acid whereas reduced the tolerance to salt stress during seed germination and seedling stages. Overall, our work identified the PnHDAC gene family for the first time in P. nodiflora and revealed an involvement of PnHDT1 and PnHDT2 in salt stress tolerance, which may contribute to uncover the mechanism of P. nodiflora in adaption to salt environments.

Abstract Based on the liquid lens focus mechanism, a novel, to the best of our knowledge, optical tactile sensor is designed by taking advantage of the structure simplicity, fast response, and environmental immunity. The design of the tactile sensing mechanism used the liquid-membrane lens structure. To integrate the tactile sensing system, we designed a data acquisition circuit unit. A performance test platform was built, and performance testing and two application demonstrations were conducted. The experiment's result showed that the linear fitting degree was greater than 0.988, the load response time was 0.078 s, the target mass was accurately measured, the maximum error was less than 0.02 N, and the fine adjustment of the LED light intensity was achieved.

Abstract Granule-based partial nitritation and anaerobic ammonium oxidation (PN/A) is an energy-efficient approach for treating ammonia wastewater. When treating low-strength ammonia wastewater, the stable synergy between PN and anammox is however difficult to establish due to unstable dissolved oxygen control. Here, we proposed, the PN/A granular sludge formed by a micro-oxygen-driven iron redox cycle with continuous aeration (0.42 ± 0.10 mg-O

Abstract Abstract: Solitary fibrous tumors are fibroblast tumors that occur mainly in the peritoneum, extremities, and pleura. Here, we report the MRI, FDG PET/CT, and FAPI PET/CT findings of a rare prostate solitary fibrous tumor. A 57-year-old man was pathologically diagnosed with a solitary fibrous tumor. To detect any systemic metastases or other primary lesions, the patient underwent FDG PET/CT and FAPI PET/CT examination sequentially. Mild FDG uptake was observed in the primary prostatic lesion, but there was a significant uptake of FAPI in the prostate. This case highlighted that FAPI PET/CT may outperform FDG PET/CT in identifying solitary fibrous tumors.

Abstract Purpose: Clozapine is the effective therapy for treatment-refractory schizophrenia. However, the use of clozapine is limited by its adverse effects. As propranolol is frequently used for the prevention and treatment of clozapine-induced tachycardia, we performed a meta-analysis to evaluate the effects of propranolol on steady state pharmacokinetics of clozapine in schizophrenic patients.
Methods: We included 16 retrospective studies on the effects of propranolol on steady state pharmacokinetics of clozapine in schizophrenic patients, with data from both generic and brand name treatment phases in eight clozapine bioequivalence studies conducted in a single center in China from 2018 to 2022. Review Manager 5.4 was used for meta-analysis of the included studies.
Results: The SMDs with 95% CIs of AUC
Conclusion: The combination with propranolol could significantly increase systemic exposure and extended T
