    Abstract Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar os fundamentos epistemológicos da construção do pensamento complexo de Edgar Morin, para identificar o entrelaçamento com a Modelagem Matemática que possibilite a religação de saberes. Trata-se de um trabalho bibliográfico que teve como sustentação autores que abordam esse tema. A literatura mostra que a teoria da complexidade de Morin desenvolveu-se a partir de suas vivências e inquietações, a que denomina de reorganizações genéticas. Na Modelagem são apresentadas as investigações realizadas que discutem relações com os princípios da complexidade e com as características do pensamento complexo. As reflexões geradas fundamentarão atividades empíricas ligadas ao desenvolvimento de práticas com temáticas socioambientais, que estão sendo desenvolvidas em uma tese doutoral, pautadas nesse pensamento aberto, que Morin propõe atreladas ao movimento livre e flexível, que se constitui a Modelagem. Ademais, o que possibilita um entrelaçamento entre a Modelagem e a complexidade é a desfragmentação do conhecimento e a religação dos saberes, que ocorre por meio da transdisciplinaridade. Face às problemáticas deste novo milênio, a perspectiva transdisciplinar deixou de ser uma escolha e passa a ser uma necessidade para a sobrevivência global de todos os seres vivos.

    Abstract This theoretical reflection aimed at bringing the complexity concept closer to the reconnection of interdisciplinary knowledge in Nursing/Heath. This reflection has arisen through the writings of Edgar Morin and other authors and was aimed at the need for a rethinking of Nursing/Health in the complex perspective, and had systemic care as its main focus. It was organized in three actions: firstly, thinker Edgar Morin is introduced; secondly, complexity is brought in; finally, the interrelation between complexity and reconnection of interdisciplinary knowledge in Nursing/Health is done.

    Title translation Research on nursing in light of Edgar Morin's concept of complexity.
    Abstract This paper aims at introducing Complexity by showing its importance through research carried out in the Nursing area. It consists of a reflection divided into two parts: the Complexity's principles, by Edgar Morin; and research on Nursing originating from Complexity. By taking into account the Complexity involving the objects of study in Nursing, it is desirable to choose a methodological path which is more appropriate to its comprehension, that is, to choose only one method which is more likely to portray a real picture of the subject. By understanding such method as a path to investigation combined with and originating from theory and not as a support to scientific practice, the concept of Complexity, by Edgar Morin, when used as a theoretical choice, ends up as a guide to a methodological path.

    Abstract O objetivo deste artigo foi apresentar a Complexidade, mostrando sua importância na pesquisa em enfermagem. Trata-se de uma reflexão em duas partes: os princípios da Complexidade, de Edgar Morin; a pesquisa em enfermagem a partir da Complexidade. Considerando a complexidade que envolve os objetos de estudo da enfermagem, torna-se desejável escolher um caminho metodológico mais apropriado a sua apreensão, ou seja optar por um método que apresente maior possibilidade de retratar esta realidade. E entendendo o método como caminho da investigação acoplado a/e originário da teoria e não amarra do fazer científico, a Complexidade, de Edgar Morin, quando utilizado como escolha teórica termina sendo um guia para o caminho metodológico.

    Abstract Theoretical reflection whose objective was to accomplish an approach of Systematization of NursingAssistance (SNA)with Edgar Morin’s Complexity. SNAis a tool used in nursing and in daily caring/care, meaning a new way to exercise and to look atthe caring act. This study made possible to perceive SNA as an indispensable tool for nursing care, pointing out that each individual,that is under nursing care, presents specific and multidimensional characteristics, besides highlighting human being’s complexity,enabling its approach with the principles of the complexity proposed by Edgar Morin.

    Abstract Objetivou-se com este estudo analisar o comportamento variável da consoante oclusiva /d/ no morfema (ndo) caracterizador de verbos no gerúndio no português falado em Seabra, município brasileiro do estado da Bahia, à luz da Teoria da Variação e Mudança Linguística (Weinreich; Labov; Herzog, 2006 [1968]; Labov, 2008 [1972]). A amostra analisada, pertencente ao banco de dados do Projeto Se abra à Chapada: coletando, explorando e mapeando dados sociolinguísticos, foi constituída de 18 entrevistas sociolinguísticas, estratificadas conforme a faixa etária (um: 18-33 anos, dois: 35-48 anos e três: 50+ anos), o sexo (masculino e feminino) e a escolaridade (fundamental, média e universitária). Após coleta, os dados foram submetidos a modelos de regressão logística de efeitos fixos e mistos, com o auxílio da linguagem de programação denominada R (R Core Team, 2020), cujos resultados obtidos apontaram correlação entre as variáveis preditoras sociais (escolaridade e faixa etária) e a variável de resposta.

    Abstract Two Sustainable Development Goals are focused directly on combating the impacts of climate change on coral reef communities: Goal 13, Climate Action (Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts) and Goal 14, Life Below Water (Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development). Citizen science (CS) features prominently in a range of programs that have been developed to address the SDGs. One such program is Virtual Reef Diver, which is designed to help monitor the health of the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. This program engages citizen scientists in two ways. Scuba-divers are asked to take geo-coded underwater images of the reef and upload them to an online virtual reef. Members of the public across the world are then asked to classify these images with respect to key reef indicators such as coral. Through the lens of a Virtual Reef Diver event held as part of Australia’s National Science Week 2021, we describe important features of this program that positively address common concerns about CS data, including the scientific trustworthiness of the data, the ability to incorporate these data with other more traditional data sources, and the quantifiable improvement in information about reef health using these data for management decisions. This demonstrates the important role that citizen science can play in achieving the SDGs by supporting the development of global policies for coral reef conservation.
