Title translation Side effects of cancer immunotherapies : important role for the clinical immunologist.
Abstract The immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) have radically changed the treatment and the prognostic of certain types of cancer. This reprogramming of the immune system can sometimes lead to immuno-related adverse events (irAEs) involving, depending on the immunotherapy used, multiple organ (s) with different severity, frequency and chronology. In theory all organs can be affected, often in a reversible and rapid manner if an immunosuppressive therapy is initiated in time. In contrast, endocrinopathies and some neuropathies are of long lasting and sometimes of irreversible nature. The management of high-grade autoimmune toxicities requires, first, the suspension of treatment and second, the introduction of steroids as first-line or, in case of failure, of a second immunosuppressive agent.

Abstract Background: Bulimia nervosa (BN) is a disorder that is characterized by binge eating and inappropriate compensatory behavior to control weight. The aim of this study was to evaluate the mediating role of anxiety and depression between problematic social media use (PSMU) and BN among a sample of Lebanese university students.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried out between July and September 2021; a total of 363 university students was recruited through convenience sampling. The PROCESS SPSS Macro version 3.4, model four was used to test the indirect effect and calculate three pathways. Pathway A determined the regression coefficient for the effect of PSMU on mental health issues (depression/anxiety); Pathway B examined the association between mental health issues on BN, and Pathway C' estimated the direct effect of PSMU on BN. Pathway AB was used to calculate the indirect effect of PSMU on BN via depression/anxiety.
Results: Results showed that depression and anxiety partially mediated the association between PSMU and BN. Higher levels of PSMU were associated with more depression and anxiety; higher depression and anxiety were associated with more BN. PSMU was directly and significantly associated with more BN. When entering anxiety (M1) then depression (M2) as consecutive mediators in a first model, the results showed that only depression mediated the association between PSMU and bulimia. When taking depression (M1) then anxiety (M2) as consecutive mediators in a second model, the results showed that the mediation PSMU → Depression → Anxiety → Bulimia was significant. Higher PSMU was significantly associated with more depression, which was significantly associated with more anxiety, which was significantly associated with more bulimia. Finally, higher PSMU was directly and significantly associated with more bulimia CONCLUSION: The current paper highlights the relationship that social media use has on BN and other aspects of mental health such as anxiety and depression in Lebanon. Future studies should replicate the mediation analysis conducted in the current study while taking into account other eating disorders. Additional investigations of BN and its correlates must strive to improve the comprehension of these associations' pathways through designs that allow to draw temporal frameworks, in order to efficiently treat this eating disorder and prevent its negative outcomes.

Abstract Background: Orthorexia nervosa (ON), defined as the pathological obsession for pure foods, remains a novelty in the field of eating disorders. Many studies in the literature have shown that attachment styles correlate with the development of eating disorders. Patients with eating disorders were found to be more avoidant and anxious and less secure than individuals who do not have eating disorders. However, studies on the relationship between attachment styles and ON remain limited, particularly in adolescents. This study assessed the relationship between attachment styles and ON in Lebanese adolescents (15-18 years), along with evaluating the indirect effect of self-esteem on this association.
Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design and was carried out during May-June 2020 with 555 students (15-18 years) enrolled. The Düsseldorf Orthorexia Scale was utilized to screen for ON tendencies. A linear regression was conducted taking the DOS score as the dependent variable. The PROCESS Macro was used to test the indirect effect of self-esteem between attachment styles and ON.
Results: Higher fearful and preoccupied attachment styles, female gender, and more physical activity were significantly associated with more ON tendencies, whereas higher self-esteem was significantly associated with less ON tendencies. When adjusting for all sociodemographic characteristics and other attachment styles, none of the attachment styles remained significantly correlated with ON tendencies. Self-esteem mediated the association between secure attachment style and ON and between dismissive attachment style and ON.
Conclusions: The rise in ON warrants further studies and investigations to raise awareness and plan behavioral interventions in order to treat it.

Abstract Objectives: To assess the association between the mental health of caregivers having a psychiatric patient at home and work fatigue, and if this association is moderated by spirituality.
    Methods: This case-control study enrolled 600 caregivers (July-September 2019).
Results: Stress, anxiety, insomnia and the presence of a psychiatric patient at home were associated with higher levels of physical, mental, and emotional work fatigue. In the case of caregivers who have a psychiatric patient at home, those with low spirituality had more mental and emotional work fatigue.
Practical implications: Healthcare professionals should enlighten caregivers more on the risks and the consequences of their job, assist them with information on what to expect, and teach them how to normalize feelings that they may face.

Abstract Background: Orthorexia Nervosa is not yet classified as an eating disorder albeit it can be found in different populations. This condition can be characterized by a preoccupation with the quality of food, accompanied by obsessive thoughts regarding eating behaviors, leading to malnutrition. Previous associations have been reported between high levels of eating disorders and lower levels of self-esteem; where individuals have low self-esteem due to the pressured felt to fit the norms of society in beauty standards. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the relationship between religiosity and orthorexia nervosa via either trait or state self-esteem.
Methods: This study was conducted between September 2021 and February 2022 and included 428 participants from all Lebanese governorates. The Teruel Orthorexia Nervosa scale was used to measure orthorexia nervosa. The following scales state self-esteem and religiosity were used to measure self-esteem.
Results: Sociodemographic characteristics (age, gender, marital status, household crowding index, body mass index and education) were entered in the mediation model as confounding variables. Higher religiosity was significantly associated with higher state self-esteem (Beta = 0.07), while higher state self-esteem was significantly associated with lower identification of those that exhibited ON tendencies or symptoms (Beta= -0.11).
Conclusion: A high state self-esteem was correlated with a lower level of orthorexia nervosa. Higher religiosity was shown to be associated with higher self-esteem, which in turn was associated with a decrease in the scores of orthorexia nervosa.

Abstract General well-being is best described as the state of mind that gives people happiness and satisfaction in life. This concept is influenced by behaviors and attitudes that individuals do on a daily basis. The purpose of this study was to understand how general well-being is correlated with other factors such as emotional intelligence, Covid-19-induced fear, healthy lifestyle, and coping strategies. This cross-sectional study was carried out between December 2020 and January 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic when lockdown restrictions were implemented at different instances. A total of 470 individuals participated. The results of a linear regression, taking the general well-being schedule score as the dependent variable, showed that more avoidance coping (B = 1.05, t(459) =8.44, p < 0.001), higher healthy lifestyle scores (B = 0.45, t(459) = 5.45, p < 0.001), and more approach coping (B = 0.42, t(459) = 4.03, p < 0.001) were significantly associated with higher GWB schedule scores. Moreover, having more fear of COVID-19 (B = -0.62, t(459) = -5.09, p < 0.001) and female gender (B = -6.80, t(459) = -4.34, p < 0.001) were significantly associated with lower GWB schedule scores. To our knowledge, this is the first study in Lebanon to evaluate GWB and factors that predict it among the general population. Nevertheless, more comprehensive future studies with longitudinal designs, more diverse socio-demographic backgrounds of sampled population recruited via probability sampling, and more reliable and valid instruments utilized are warranted to confirm our findings and draw a more certain conclusion.
