Abstract Background: Recent studies about the effect of gonadotropin (Gn) dose on the clinical outcomes of IVF are still controversial, and no studies have analyzed the relationship between Gn dose and embryo quality. Since AMH is a strong predictor of oocyte quality, we aim to evaluate the relationship between total Gn dose and embryo quality and clinical outcomes at different AMH levels in IVF cycles.
Methods: A total of 12,588 patients were enrolled in the retrospective study. The included cycles were categorized by serum AMH levels (AMH ≤ 1 ng/ml, 1 ng/ml < AMH ≤ 3 ng/ml, 3 ng/ml < AMH ≤ 5 ng/ml, AMH > 5 ng/ml), total Gn dosage (< 1875 IU, 1875-3750 IU and ≥ 3750 IU) and female age (< 35 years and 35-42 years). The embryo quality and clinical outcomes were the measure outcomes.
Results: The top-day3 embryos rate decreased with the increase of total Gn dose in nearly all age and AMH subgroups, but this trend was not obvious in the AMH > 5 ng/ml group and AMH ≤ 1 ng/ml group. The blastocyst formation rate and high-quality blastulation rate had a negative relationship with Gn does for women aged < 35 years in the AMH ≤ 5 ng/ml groups, except for the AMH > 5 ng/ml group (P < 0.001). However, when women were 35-42 years old, regardless of AMH levels, the blastocyst formation rate and high-quality blastulation rate decreased as Gn dose increased. Clinical outcomes (implantation rate, clinical pregnancy rate and live birth rate) decreased with the increase of Gn dose in all ages and AMH stratifications.
Conclusions: The total dose of Gn may have different effects on embryo quality at different serum AMH levels, and the negative effects of total dose of Gn on clinical outcomes may be realized by impairing both embryo quality and endometrium.

Abstract Thermal deformation can improve the properties of aluminum matrix composites (AMCs) prepared by powder metallurgy (P/M) due to the dense and uniform microstructures. And the final microstructure of the AMCs is related to the dynamic recrystallization (DRX) behavior and nucleation mechanism in the thermal forming process. In this regard, the hot compression tests of dual-scale SiC particles reinforced A356 (SiCp/A356) composites prepared by P/M method were carried out at temperatures of 460–520°C and strain rates of 0.01–5 s−1 on a thermal simulation tester. The corresponding microstructure evolution was analyzed by electron back-scattered diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. The results indicated that the stress–strain curve was a typical DRX unimodal stress curve. The comprehensive influences of the strain rate and deformation temperature on the stress were investigated using the Zener–Hollomon parameter (Z), where the deformation activation energy was 443.204 kJ/mol. The DRX critical strain model and DRX volume fraction model were established. DRX behavior of the SiCp/A356 composites was sensitive to the deformation temperatures and strain rates. The micro and nano SiCp can promote the DRX nucleation of Al matrix due to the particle-stimulated nucleation.

Abstract Sulfide solid-state electrolytes have garnered considerable attention owing to their notable ionic conductivity and mechanical properties. However, achieving an electrolyte characterized by both high ionic conductivity and a stable interface between the electrode and electrolyte remains challenging, impeding its widespread application. In this work, we present a novel sulfide solid-state electrolyte, Li

Abstract Persistent infection of human papilloma virus (HPV) increases the risk of cervical precancerous lesions turning into cervical cancer, which seriously affects women's reproductive health and quality of life. This meta-analysis analyzed the effect and safety of recombinant human interferon α-2b (rhIFNα-2b) combined with Baofukang suppository in the treatment of HPV infection. Online databases were used to search for randomized clinical trials (RCTs) on the treatment of HPV infection with the deadline of January 2022 and the effects of treatment were analyzed by the odds ratio (OR) of treatment outcomes (total effective rate, HPV clearance rate and adverse reaction rate). The interval estimation was expressed by 95% confidence interval (CI). The searching results showed that there were 15 RCTs, including 1786 HPV-infected cases meeting the criteria for meta-analysis, of which 893 received combination therapy. In terms of total effective rate, combination therapy was superior to monotherapy (OR = 4.82, 95% CI 3.43-6.75,

Abstract Background and purpose: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is called "immortal cancer", and it affects the quality of life, disability rate and even the survival of patients. This study aimed to observe the clinical efficacy, and adverse reactions of intradermal acupuncture (IA) in the treatment of RA patients with liver and kidney deficiency syndrome.
Materials and methods: 132 RA patients were split into an IA group and a sham IA group at a 1:1 ratio. Both groups were assessed before and after the intervention with the assessments: a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome evaluation, the Health Assessment Questionnaire (HAQ), the Disease Activity Score 28 (DAS28) and serum C-reactive protein (CRP).
Results: There was a statistically significant difference in TCM syndrome evaluation, HAQ, DAS28, and CRP between both groups before and after treatment (P < 0.01). The improvement of TCM syndrome evaluation (95% CI [1.14(0.38-1.89)]; P = 0.001), HAQ (95% CI [2.00(1.00-3.00)]; P = 0.003), and DAS28 (95% CI [0.11(0.02-0.20)]; P = 0.021) in the IA group was more obvious than that in the sham IA group (P < 0.05), except for CRP (95% CI [0.50(- 2.09 to 7.08)], P = 0.786). The difference in CRP outcome changes between the two groups was not statistically significant (P > 0.05). Both groups had comparable results in the implementation of RA in the upper and lower extremity acupoints and did not differ due to different sites (IA group: P = 0.852; sham IA group: P = 0.861). The comparison of effective rate of the upper limb as well as that of the lower limb was statistically significant (P = 0.001). Besides, patients reported no adverse effects.
Conclusion: The IA intervention was associated with a promising effect on the decrease in RA disease activity and delayed overall disease progression.
