Abstract Technology mining (or tech mining, TM) is an emerging research field in science, technology, and innovation studies. However, due to the rapid increase and widespread application of TM research, accurately capturing research topics and emerging developments in TM has become a challenge for scholars. Therefore, this bibliometric literature review combines quantitative methods and content analysis to explore the research foundation and development frontiers of TM and distinguish emerging research topics from relatively mature ones, aiming to deepen the understanding. More specifically, it utilizes co-citation analysis and bibliographic coupling techniques to analyze the TM publication dataset. The results indicate that TM research is mainly based on four foundational areas, and there are five current frontier clusters. Emerging topic detection further shows that technology topic analysis, technology opportunity analysis, and technology management and decision support are currently emerging TM research topics.

Abstract In steel fiber reinforced concrete, the interface is a very complex and weak structure. It is because of the weak interface layer between the steel fiber and the matrix that the reinforcing and toughening properties of the steel fiber cannot be fully exerted. The interface bond performance is the core of the meso-mechanical properties of steel fiber reinforced concrete. To study its influence on the mechanical properties of steel fiber reinforced concrete, three-phase finite element models of steel fiber pull-out are established based on the cohesive zone model and unified phase-field theory by means of FEM in this paper. The interface bond is simulated by a zero-thickness cohesive element, and the pull-out process of steel fiber in the concrete matrix is analyzed to provide a basis for the fracture research of steel fiber reinforced concrete. In this paper, the influence of factors such as the embedment depth, length–diameter ratio, embedment angle, and interface properties of steel fibers on the pull-out mechanical properties of steel fibers are considered, and the relevant finite element models are established to conduct numerical simulations of the pull-out process of steel fibers. The numerical simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental results, and this verifies the reliability of the model. The results show that the steel fiber pull-out finite element model established by the cohesive zone model and phase-field regularized cohesive zone model (PF-CZM) has a certain reliability; the peak pull-out load of the steel fiber increases with an increase in the embedment depth of the steel fiber, and decreases with an increase in the length–diameter ratio and embedment angle of the steel fiber; by controlling the strength of the interface layer and the concrete matrix, the reinforcement effect of the steel fiber on the concrete matrix can be improved; and the PF-CZM has a good characterization of the damage and failure evolution process of the concrete matrix.

Abstract Background: We aimed to examine the association between blood levels of Branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) - specifically isoleucine, leucine, and valine - and the susceptibility to three neurodegenerative disorders: dementia, Alzheimer's disease (AD), and Parkinson's disease (PD).
Methods: Based on data from the UK Biobank, a Cox proportional hazard regression model and a dose-response relationship were used to analyze the association between BCAAs and the risks of dementia, AD, and PD. We also generated a healthy lifestyle score and a polygenic risk score. Besides, we conducted a sensitivity analysis to ensure the robustness of our findings.
Results: After adjusting for multiple covariates, blood concentrations of isoleucine, leucine, and valine were significantly associated with a reduced risk of dementia and AD. This association remained robust even in sensitivity analyses. Similarly, higher levels of isoleucine and leucine in the blood were found to be associated with an increased risk of PD, but this positive correlation could potentially be explained by the presence of covariates. Further analysis using a dose-response approach revealed that a blood leucine concentration of 2.14 mmol/L was associated with the lowest risk of dementia.
Conclusion: BCAAs have the potential to serve as a biomarker for dementia and AD. However, the specific mechanism through which BCAAs are linked to the development of dementia, AD, and PD remains unclear and necessitates additional investigation.

Abstract Disulfide bonds exist widely in channel protein and play an essential role in matter exchange and signal transduction (e.g., rhodopsin, canonical transient receptor potential 5 (TRPC5)). The research on disulfide bond in nanochannel is significant for the cognition of their biological functions. However, the fragility of biological channel limits the in-situ study and practical application. Herein, an innovative biologically-inspired artificial nanochannel based on disulfide bond (NCDS) with excellent durability, adjustable surface property is proposed. The constructed NCDS has a multi-response to UV-light, thiol (e.g., cysteine (Cys)) or pH stimulation, and can obtain reversibility after regulation by hydrogen peroxide (H
