Abstract Research is not only based on what we create, but whether the research can be applied and have a positive impact on society in general or not. SMAN 3 is one of the favorite schools in Semarang, but until a long time SMAN 3 Semarang has not been a research-based school, so this PkM aims to provide a more detailed understanding of research. The method used is by mentoring SMAN 3 Semarang in the process of becoming a research-based school, and building a journal as a medium to publish the results of student and teacher research. The result of this service was the establishment of a research centre at SMAN 3 Semarang and the journal Journey. With this journal, the published research results will be able to bring significant changes to sustainable research, where young people will be able to improve their competence in the field of research and can become reliable researchers in facing the era of globalization. Furthermore, in this community service, the step to build a smart centre is to apply it to the curriculum and this will be able to have a significant impact such as the establishment of UMKM to support the community's economy.

Abstract Background: Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease characterized by damage of cartilage in the joints and subchondral bones that cause pain in a joint. Aim: To describe the patients’ profile of osteoarthritis at the Dr Zainoel Abidin Hospital Banda Aceh. Material and Methods: A retrospective observational descriptive study on osteoarthritis patients who were treated at the Orthopaedic Clinic of RSUDZA Banda Aceh for the period March 2020 to February 2022. Results: Two years of observation yielded a total of 397 osteoarthritis patients. Most cases are in female patients (63.4%), with the majority of those in the age bracket >55 years (61.9%), with the majority of patients being from Banda Aceh City (37.2%). The most diagnoses are knee OA, which is 330 patients (82.9%) and hip OA, which is 39 patients (9.9%). Only 108 patients received surgery, operations for knee OA, total knee replacement were 78 patients (23.63%), while for hip OA patients who needed total hip teplacement surgery there were were 26 patients (66.66%) and partial hip replacement was 4 patients (10.25%). Conclusion: Osteoarthritis often occurs in female patients and mostly in the patient age group >55 years. Indications for surgery in OA are based on symptoms, stage of OA, and patient-related factors such as age, level of physical activity, and patient comorbidities.

Abstract This study aims to analyze the digitalization of democracy in the implementation of e-voting in Pilkades in Bantaeng Regency, South Sulawesi. This study is based on qualitative research by gathering data through observation, interviews and questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that, first, the implementation of e-voting policies as a political innovation is carried out by formulating policies, namely compiling regulation as the first step in the process of public policy innovation. Second, the process of implementing e-voting consist of several stages, namely the stages of the preparation, nomination, voting, final recapitulation and inauguration where the preparatory stage to the final recapitulation is not much different from the conventional Pilkades implementation (paper based). The difference lies more in the use of electronic systems. The form of using electronic application in voting through the direct electronic recording (DRE) system. Third, evaluation of the e-voting policy based on the five aspects evaluated related to the implementation of e-voting in village head elections, as a whole that the five aspects which include effectiveness, efficiency, fairness, adequacy and responsiveness can be stated that the process has been carried out properly in accordance with the indicators or standard e-voting implementation criteria in village head election. Furthermore, evaluation of fie aspects is also a concern for the government regarding improvement to the implementation of e-voting in village head election. With improvements in some of these aspects, it can be stated that the application of e-voting in village head election as a political innovation can be continued as part of the process of digitizing democracy.

Abstract The lack of fresh water for the inhabitants of Maitara island is a very urgent problem to be solved. Two main factors at least must be taken into account to deliberate the right of way of subsea High-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes, namely the hydrodynamic conditions and of a block analysis. This paper presents the study to justify the best route of subsea HDPE pipes based on hydrodynamic model analysis and concrete block strategy. The method used to analyze the best route includes 2 aspects. Firstly, the investigation method consisting of a bathymetric survey conducted by a single beam echosounder, 15 days tidal observations and seabed sediment sampling. Secondly, the hydrodynamic modelling analysis using Mike 21 FMHD and concrete block analysis, all these studies have been completed in August 2018. In the morphological behaviour analysis, three alternative routes are considered for the subsea HDPE pipes from Tidore Island to Maitara Island. The outcome of the analysis shows that the second track line option has the smallest impact by the hydrodynamic conditions, with a current speed of less than 0,5m/sec and a significant wave height of fewer than 1.2 meters. Furthermore, the uniformity of the lithology along the route is the other reason to select the second route. Finally, the concrete block analysis generated a minimum dimension of 75cm x 60cm x 30cm, and a free span of 3 meters is safe to absorb the uplift and drag forces acting on the pipe.

Abstract Although the use of network simulator (NS) in predicting the behavior of computer networks has increased, the users often face a variety of challenges and share them on Stack Overflow (SO). However, the challenges that users deal with have not been studied. This paper presents an NS discussion dataset extracted from SOTorrent, which consists of 2,322 NS-related question posts spanning 17 features. The process of data collection was conducted in five steps, including filtering initial post dataset using simulator tags, discovering NS-related tags, collecting the tagged posts, extracting the posts title and preprocessing for LDA (Latent Dirichlet Allocation), and finally applying the LDA topic modeling to obtain the NS posts clustered into eight different topic names. We believe that this dataset will help research community in highlighting issues faced by NS users.

Abstract Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has caused a worldwide disruption of global health putting healthcare workers at high risk. To reduce the transmission of SARS-CoV-2, in particular during treating the patients, our team aims to develop an optimized isolation chamber. The present study was conducted to evaluate the role of temperature elevation against SARS-CoV-2 viability, where the information would be used to build the isolation chamber. 0.6 mL of the Indonesian isolate of SARS-CoV-2 strain 20201012747 (approximately 10

Abstract This research studies the physical properties of the low quality of bricks mixed with sandy -soil in home industries located in Gunung Sarik of Padang City. The ratio mixture of the brick making material in the home industries was not measured with the proper measurement; as a result the quality of the brick was poor. The research used 5 x 5 x 5 cm and 180 cubes of bricks to see the physical changes. The ratio of mixed materials between sandy soil and clay are 0.11.025, 0.43,0.67,1.0, and 1.50. The procedure for making bricks was the same as a factory without changing the factory method. The process of burning bricks for three days and two nights using wood. From the test results, the density of the bricks did not change significantly between direct and indirect fire exposure but decreased in proportion to the addition of sandy soil. The addition of sandy soil reduces the percentage of damage and physical changes. The acceptable ratio of sandy -soil mixture is a range of 0.43.-0.6.

Abstract Electrospinning is a method that uses a high-voltage electric field to fabricate nanofiber by charging and ejecting a polymer solution through a syringe. Compared to other methods, it produces nanofiber using simple and easy techniques. The widespread usage of the commercial electrospinning machines (Spinboxsystems)-BASIC KIT type for beginners is limited due to its price of over USD15,595. Additionally, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) spare parts are expensive to replace, which increases the production cost of Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) polymer nanofiber and hinders its application in various fields. This led to the successful design and development of an in-house built electrospinning machine at a total cost below USD2,000. The new machine is easy and simple to operate while also producing PVA nanofiber with excellent properties.
