Abstract Background: The involvement of HPV18 in cervical cancer pathogenesis, as well as its high oncogenic potential and influence on the variation of cervical cancer distribution in different geographical regions, makes assessing the characteristics of cervical cancer and its variants the basis for considering potential carcinogenic HPV18 sequence variations and vaccine strategies.
Methods: A prospective study was conducted at Vietnam Central Obstetrics Hospital from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2020. HPV18 infection was confirmed in cervical cancer patients using molecular diagnostics. Nucleotide sequences of the HPV18 E6, E7, and L1 genes were used to analyze genetic variations. The demographic, clinical, and laboratory data of the patients were collected and statistically analyzed.
Results: Among 48 patients with HPV18-infected cervical cancer, 79.2% were between the ages of 35-54; while only 20.8% were < 35 and > 54 years old. 100% of patients have been pregnant at some point in their lives, with ≥3 pregnancies accounting for 83.3%. Patients with cervical cancer caused by HPV18 infection were predominantly in stages 0 and I, with no patients in stages II, III, or IV. A single HPV18 infection generates much more cervical cancer cases than multiple HPV18 infections. Symptoms such as lower abdomen pain, unusual anginal discharge, and vaginal bleeding were observed in both stages 0 and I; however, vaginal bleeding after sex was only detected in women with stage I cervical cancer. Cervicitis, cervical ectropion, and ulcers are reported in cervical status stages 0 and I; however, warts and ulcers were only present in stage I. Magnetic resonance imaging produces far superior outcomes than ultrasound. All cytology and pathology tests confirmed L/HSIL, SCC, AC, and CIS. On the other hand, a single HPV18 infection was associated with a significantly higher risk of L/HSIL, SCC, AC, and CIS than multiple HPV18 infections. Nulceotide sequences of the E6, E7, and L1 genes revealed 20 mutations, including three (E6), five (E7), and twelve (L1) mutations. High-frequency mutations (95.8%-100% of HPV18 samples had mutations) occur at the following positions: C287G - P61P (E6 gene), G5503A - R25Q, C5701G - P91R, C6460G - P344R, C6625G - P399R, and C6842G - P471R (L1 gene). A phylogenetic tree based on the E6/E7/L1 gene sequence revealed that 100% belonged to A lineage, with 97.9% belonging AA (Asian Amerindian - A1) and 2.1% belonging to the E (European - A5).
Conclusion: Patients with a single HPV18 infection have a higher risk of cervical cancer than those infected with HPV18 and other high-risk strains simultaneously. HPV18 single-infection, on the other hand, had considerably higher incidences of L/HSIL, SCC, AC, and CIS than HPV18 co-infection. The HPV18 strain that was found in Vietnam belonged to lineage A (A1 and A5), which contains several oncogene mutations.

Abstract The aim of this study was to compare the efficacy and safety of transradial approach (TRA) in chronic total occlusion (CTO) percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with the efficacy and safety of transfemoral approach (TFA). We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and observational studies (OS) reporting the outcomes of TRA versus TFA in CTO PCI. The primary end point was procedural success. Secondary end points included access-site complications, in-hospital adverse events, procedural efficacy outcomes, and 30-day all-cause mortality. A total of 28,754 CTO PCI cases from 19 studies were included (2 RCTs and 17 OS). The pooled mean J-CTO score is 2.3. The main analysis showed a trend toward a higher success rate for TRA (odds ratio [OR] 1.17, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.00 to 1.38), but this was not the case in the secondary analysis, which included only RCTs and OS with moderate risk of bias (OR 0.99, 95% CI 0.81 to 1.22). TRA was associated with significant reductions in access-site complications (OR 0.33, 95% CI 0.24 to 0.45) and major bleeding (OR 0.34, 95% CI 0.20 to 0.59), and a similar risk of other in-hospital adverse events and 30-day mortality (p >0.05) to that of TFA. Moreover, there was less fluoroscopy time (minutes) and contrast volume use (ml) in the transradial CTO PCI (mean difference: -6.19 [-10.98 to -1.40] and -22.14[-34.56 to -9.72], respectively). In conclusion, the transradial PCI in appropriate CTO lesions was associated with a lower incidence of access-site complications/major bleeding than was TFA and a similar other periprocedural complications rate, without compromising procedural success.

Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic has caused unprecedented damage to the educational system worldwide. Besides the measurable economic impacts in the short-term and long-term, there is intangible destruction within educational institutions. In particular, teachers - the most critical intellectual resources of any schools - have to face various types of financial, physical, and mental struggles due to COVID-19. To capture the current context of more than one million Vietnamese teachers during COVID-19, we distributed an e-survey to more than 2,500 randomly selected teachers from two major teacher communities on Facebook from 6th to 11th April 2020. From over 373 responses, we excluded the observations which violated our cross-check questions and retained 294 observations for further analysis. This dataset includes: (i) Demographics of participants; (ii) Teachers' perspectives regarding the operation of teaching activities during the pandemic; (iii) Teachers' received support from their schools, government bodies, other stakeholders such as teacher unions, and parents' associations; and (iv) teachers' evaluation of school readiness toward digital transformation. Further, the dataset was supplemented with an additional question on the teachers' primary source of professional development activities during the pandemic.

Abstract (1) Background: The present study measures the fear of COVID-19 among hospital healthcare workers and identifies several factors associated with increasing fear of COVID-19. (2) Methods: A cross-sectional, hospital-based survey was conducted on healthcare workforce recruited from the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases from 1 October 2021 and 20 October 2021. We selected the participants who have been directly involved in diagnosing, treating, or providing nursing care to patients with COVID-19. The primary data was collected via sending the invitation directly to the participants, utilizing structured self-completed questionnaires. The seven-item fear of COVID-19 scale was used to measure the data. The responses of 208 hospital healthcare workers were included in the final analysis. (3) Results: Total score of COVID-19 fear was 19.62 (SD = 5.22). The COVID-19 fear score of 7 items ranged from 2.38 (SD = 0.83) to 3.21 (SD = 0.96). The lowest and highest scores were the item '

Abstract (1) Background: This study aims to assess the magnitude of, and factors associated with, depression and anxiety among Vietnamese frontline hospital healthcare workers in the fourth wave of COVID-19; (2) Methods: A hospital based cross-sectional study was carried out within two weeks, October 2020, at a central COVID-19 treatment hospital. Depression and anxiety were measured with PHQ-9 and GAD-7, respectively. Bivariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis were applied to recognize variables related to depression and anxiety, respectively; (3) Results: Among 208 frontline hospital healthcare workers, overall prevalence of depressive symptoms, anxiety symptoms, and both symptoms of depression and anxiety was 38.94%, 25.48% and 24.04%, respectively, in healthcare workers. In a reduced model after using multivariate stepwise logistic regression, age (OR = 0.9,
