Abstract Introduction: Doxorubicin (dox) is classified as an antineoplastic antibiotic which is known as adriamycin from the anthracycline group. Due to the release of free radicals and lipid peroxidation which can cause acute cardiotoxicity. Coenzyme Q10 is found in many cells of the body, it is an antioxidant that reduces oxidative stress and lipid peroxidation.
Aim: This scoping review aims to evaluate the cardioprotective effect of coenzyme Q10 in doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity in animals.
Methods: This review was done based on Arksey and O'Malley's methodology, reviewing published articles from October 1978 and September 2023.
Results: 14 out of 11,303 articles were included from the initial search, (10 out of 14 articles found that coenzyme Q10 protect has a protection effect against doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity).
Conclusion: The results of this review found coenzyme Q10 protects against doxorubicin cardiotoxicity. It is a promising supplement that could be used to prevent cardiotoxicity induced by doxorubicin in cancer patients.

Abstract This study aims to develop a robust control for the quadrotor slung-load system that efficiently follows a reference trajectory. A fractional-order robust sliding mode control has been chosen to control the quadrotor's altitude, position, and attitude. An anti-swing controller was also installed to limit the swing angle of the suspended load. It was created via delayed feedback, in which the quadrotor's position reference trajectory is changed by the difference of the load angles within a specific delayed value. Designing an adaptive FOSMC would control the system when the system uncertainties do not know the bounds. Moreover, the control parameters and the anti-swing controller for the FOSMC can be obtained using some optimization techniques to increase the controllers' accuracy.

Abstract Background: Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects young children in social relatedness and communication besides other characteristics. A community's awareness and early intervention services in diagnosing and treating autistic children are essential for preventing the expected complications, eg language delay, social interaction, and intellectual ability.
Aim: To assess the parent's knowledge and perceptions regarding autism and its associated clinical features and effects.
Methodology: A cross-sectional study was conducted targeting all available parents aged 18 years or more living in Aseer region. Data were collected using a self-reported questionnaire from randomly selected parents who attended outpatient clinics at Abha Maternity and Children Hospital and Aseer Central Hospital. Parents' knowledge regarding autism was assessed covering general knowledge, clinical features, social effects, consequences, and curability.
Results: A total of 477 parents participated. Parents' ages ranged from 18 to 85 years. 261 (54.7%) parents were male and 216 (45.3%) were females. Nearly 65.6% of parents were university graduates and 28.3% had a secondary level of education. About 50.9% of the parents know that genetics play a major role in causing autism, 69.6% think that most children with autism have special talents or abilities, 64.2% know that delayed language development is one of the main symptoms of autism, 61.2% also know that repetitive movements of the hands and head are a common symptom of autism. About 36.9% of parents think that diagnosing a child with autism will lead to discrimination against the child, 33.3% of parents think that autism is a rare condition in this country compared to the West.
Conclusion: The study showed that parents had poor knowledge levels regarding autism and its related clinical features, especially male parents with low levels of education. On the other hand, their perception of the disease and its frequency in the study area was satisfactory.

Abstract Introduction Teledentistry has emerged as a promising solution to enhance dental healthcare accessibility and quality. Understanding public awareness and attitudes toward teledentistry is crucial for its successful implementation, especially in regions like Saudi Arabia where digital health initiatives are rapidly expanding. This study aims to assess the level of awareness, attitudes, and perceptions toward teledentistry among the Saudi Arabian population, as well as examine the demographic factors influencing its acceptance. Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted with 474 participants, employing a structured questionnaire to collect data on demographics, awareness, knowledge, perceptions, and attitudes toward teledentistry. Statistical analyses, including correlation and chi-square tests, were performed to analyze the data. Results The majority of respondents (64%) reported awareness of teledentistry, primarily through the Internet (44.5%) and healthcare providers (36.3%). The average self-assessed knowledge score was 3.04 out of 5, indicating moderate familiarity with teledentistry concepts. Attitudes toward teledentistry were generally positive, with 54% expressing belief in its effectiveness. However, a significant portion of the sample showed reluctance toward using teledentistry for routine dental check-ups, with only 45.1% showing willingness. High technological accessibility was reported, yet 55.9% of participants preferred traditional in-person consultations. Correlation analysis revealed a moderate positive relationship between knowledge and belief in effectiveness (r = 0.21), but a negligible correlation with willingness to use teledentistry (r = 0.016). A strong positive correlation was found between belief in effectiveness and willingness for routine check-ups (r = 0.673). Educational level significantly influenced teledentistry acceptance, with higher education correlating with greater receptiveness. Conclusion While there is a moderate level of awareness and a generally positive attitude toward teledentistry among the Saudi population, hesitance remains regarding its use for routine care. The findings highlight the need for educational initiatives to improve knowledge and perceptions of teledentistry, potentially enhancing its acceptance and integration into the healthcare system.

Abstract Ethylene Glycol (EG) and diethylene Glycol (DEG) are two contaminants known to cause various human health problems. These glycols might be present in drug syrups that are based on glycerol, sorbitol, or polyethylene glycol. In late 2022, several batches of cough, antipyretics, and antihistamine syrups were reported to contain toxic levels of EG and DEG in multiple countries; this incident concerned the World Health Organization (WHO). From an analytical perspective, several methods of glycols analysis in pharmaceuticals have been reported in the literature, with the majority being dedicated to raw material analysis. This study aims to develop a selective method capable of evaluating a wide range of paediatric syrups in order to assess the safety of commercially available paediatric syrups currently distributed in the local market. This research introduces a method for determining glycols utilizing gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS), which offers significantly higher selectivity than conventional single quadrupole gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The developed method meets the current International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) guidelines for validation. The absence of any interfering peaks in both the unspiked sample of promethazine syrup and the reference standard solutions proved the method's selectivity. Furthermore, 2,2,2-trichloroethanol was used as an internal standard, and a new GC-MS/MS method was developed to analyze it. The calibration curves for EG and DEG were linear within the selected concentration range of 1-10 μg/mL. The detection limit for both EG and DEG was 400 ng/mL, while the quantification limit was 1 μg/mL. Recovery values for both EG and DEG met the accuracy acceptance criterion. Thus, the developed method proved to be efficient and accurate for determining EG and DEG levels in suspected contaminated syrups.
