Abstract Before (2019), during (2020), and after (2021) the COVID-19 outbreak, different response methods and measures were taken on campuses to control the spread of COVID-19 within schools. These response methods may have changed the outdoor bioaerosol characteristics, which may affect staff and student health. Therefore, we analyzed the bacterial concentrations, particle size distribution, microbial populations, exposure risks, and environmental influences of bioaerosols at a campus before, during, and after the COVID-19 outbreak. This study used eight-stage Andersen samplers to collect and analyze culturable bacteria in bioaerosols from various locations, high-throughput sequencing to analyze microbial species, principal component analysis to compare differences in samples, RDA to investigate the effects of environmental factors on bioaerosols, and hazard quotient (HQ) and BugBase to evaluate human health risks. The study findings revealed that average bacterial concentrations before, during, and after COVID-19 were 75 CFU m

Abstract Antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) can be emitted from wastewater to ambient air and impose unignorable inhalable hazards, which could be exacerbated in antibiotic-concentrated hospital sewage. However, whether the ARG-carrying pathogens are more likely to infect cells remains largely unknown. Here, this study investigated and analyzed the spatiotemporal distribution, interaction, and toxicity of airborne microorganisms and their hosting ARGs in a hospital sewage treatment facility. The average concentration of ARGs/MGEs in sewage of bioreaction tank (BRT-W) was 2.27 × 10

Abstract Wolfiporia cocos is a saprophytic fungus belonging to the phylum Basidiomycota. The dried sclerotium of this organism has been widely used in traditional Chinese medicine for several thousand years and it is prescribed in many formulations. The W. cocos germplasm resources are complex and diverse, and the molecular mechanisms underlying the growth and development of its sclerotia are unclear. In this study, we used genome resequencing and transcriptome analysis to evaluate the genetic diversity of W. cocos germplasm resources in China and the mechanism of sclerotium growth and development. Phylogenetic and population structure analyses revealed that all the 39 tested strains were divided into three major groups. Most of the strains were clustered into one group, and the remaining strains were clustered into the other two groups. There may be a shared origin of cultivated W. cocos in the main production areas. Transcriptome analysis and quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction confirmed that candidate genes related to the yield of W. cocos were mainly enriched in oxidation-reduction and carbohydrate metabolism and highly expressed in the ShenChuan strain, which had the highest comprehensive cultivation score. The findings will be helpful for further understanding the evolution and population structure of W. cocos and determining the functional genes that contribute to the high yield of sclerotia.

Title translation Progress on eco-technology classification in ecologically vulnerable regions of China.
Abstract Ecological technology is the core of ecological environment governance and restoration in ecologically vulnerable regions. A reasonable classification method is the basis for induction and summary of ecological techno-logy, which is of great significance to classify and solve ecological environmental problems and evaluate the effects of ecological technology implementation. However, there is still no standard method for the classification of ecological technology. From the perspective of ecological technology classification, we summarized the concept of eco-technology and related classification methods, in view of current situation and deficiency of ecological technology related classification, we put forward a system suitable for defining and classifying ecological technology in ecologically vulnerable regions of China, and analyzed the practicality and application prospect. Our review would provide reference for the management and promotion of ecological technology classification.

Abstract Atmospheric pollution significantly impacts the regional economy and human health, and its prediction has been increasingly emphasized. The performance of traditional prediction methods is limited due to the lack of historical data support in new atmospheric monitoring sites. Therefore, this paper proposes a two-stage attention mechanism model based on transfer learning (TL-AdaBiGRU). First, the first stage of the model utilizes a temporal distribution characterization algorithm to segment the air pollutant sequences into periods. It introduces a temporal attention mechanism to assign self-learning weights to the period segments in order to filter out essential period features. Then, in the second stage of the model, a multi-head external attention mechanism is introduced to mine the network's hidden layer key features. Finally, the adequate knowledge learned by the model at the source domain site is migrated to the new site to improve the prediction capability of the new site. The results show that (1) the model is modeled from the data distribution perspective, and the critical information within the sequence of periodic segments is mined in depth. (2) The model employs a unique two-stage attention mechanism to capture complex nonlinear relationships in air pollutant data. (3) Compared with the existing models, the mean absolute error (MAE), root mean square error (RMSE), and mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) of the model decreased by 14%, 13%, and 4%, respectively, and the prediction accuracy was greatly improved.
