Abstract We successfully achieved the phosphorylation of secondary aromatic alcohols with H-phosphine oxides (less developed system) using phosphotungstic acid as a catalyst in dimethyl carbonate. The system was simple and environmentally friendly and showed better activity than traditional Lewis or Brønsted acids such as FeCl

Abstract The paper discussed the use of machine learning (ML) and quantum chemistry calculations to predict the transition state and yield of copper-catalyzed P-H insertion reactions. By analyzing a dataset of 120 experimental data points, the transition state was determined using density functional theory (DFT). ML algorithms were then applied to analyze 16 descriptors derived from the quantum chemical transition state to predict the product yield. Among the algorithms studied, the Support Vector Machine (SVM) achieved the highest prediction accuracy of 97%, with over 80% correlation in Leave-One-Out Cross-Validation (LOOCV). Sensitivity analysis was performed on each descriptor, and a comprehensive investigation of the reaction mechanism was conducted to better understand the transition state characteristics. Finally, the ML model was used to predict reaction plans for experimental design, demonstrating strong predictive performance in subsequent experimental validation.

Abstract Oxidative C-C/P-H cross-coupling is achieved via Pd-catalyzed decarbonylative cross-coupling of aroylhydrazides with P(O)H compounds. The unique cooperative reaction system, especially the Brønsted acid and bidentate phosphine ligand, allows the selective activation of the inert C-C bond and the suppression of the undesired oxidation and coordination of >P(O)-H compounds, leading to a general oxidative synthesis of aryl phosphorus compounds from easily available substrates.

Abstract Transition metal-catalyzed enantioselective C–H functionalization has emerged as an efficient and powerful strategy to access various chiral molecules. Recently, this strategy has also provided a complementary pathway to the construction of P - and S -stereogenic compounds. In this short review, we summarize the development and applications of various catalytic systems: Pd(II)/mono- N -protected amino acids (MPAA), Pd(0)/trivalent phosphorus chiral ligands, chiral cyclopentadienyl-ligated metal catalysts [Cp x M(III)] (M = Rh, Ir), half-sandwich d 6 Ir(III) and Ru(II) with a chiral carboxylic acid (CCA) ligand, Ir(I)/chiral bidentate boryl ligand, and Ir(I)/chiral cation, for accessing these chiral compounds via enantioselective C–H functionalization. 1

Abstract Asymmetric reductive amination is one of the most important reactions in the preparation of chiral amine pharmaceutical intermediates. Different kinds of enzymes have been applied to the synthesis of chiral amines Among them, the development of reductive amination reactions catalyzed by NAD(P)H-dependent oxidoreductases is attractive, as it would permit a one-step transformation of prochiral ketones into chiral amines with high optical purity. In this review, the recent advances in enzyme structure, catalytic mechanism, protein engineering and the application in reductive amination reactions of NAD(P)H-dependent oxidoreductases, including imine reductase, amino acid dehydrogenase, opine dehydrogenase and reductive aminase, are summarized.

Abstract Copper-catalyzed regioselective C-H sulfonyloxylation of electron-rich arenes with p-toluenesulfonic acid has been developed. Electron-rich benzene derivatives and heteroarenes can undergo this C-H sulfonyloxylation reaction to generate aryl tosylates. Furthermore, sulfonyloxylation of aryl(mesityl)iodonium sulfonates has also been investigated. Both aryl(mesityl)iodonium tosylates and triflates can react smoothly to get aryl sulfonates. The formed aryl sulfonates can be converted to phenols, as well as used as good partners of cross-coupling reactions.
