Abstract Hang’s mudding-off technique is a well control measure used to maintain the dynamic balance of the pressure inside a well and thus ensure safe operation when there is circulation loss in the return. Given the lack of a dynamic analysis method that reflects the principles of annulus liquid level changes in a well shaft, there has been no analytical basis for applying Hang’s mudding-off technique in practice, and as a result, the technique is typically applied as a “blind Hang”. In this study, a dynamic analysis method was employed to model well shaft leakage loss, based on actual engineering conditions under which Hang’s mudding-off technique is used, and models were developed for the effective height of the well shaft annulus liquid level in Hang’s mudding-off technique and for a safe operation time after the application of the technique. The calculation of variations in the cross-sectional area of the annulus was also addressed. The reliability of the proposed models was evaluated using calculation examples. The error in the calculated effective liquid level height was 1.22% when dynamic leakage loss was considered, and the error in the safe operation time calculation was 3.58%. These results illustrate the accuracy of the models. The analysis method proposed in this paper can be used to solve problems related to calculation of the engineering parameters involved in Hang’s mudding-off technique and averting the risks of well control safety under conditions of circulation loss in the return, thereby optimising Hang’s mudding-off technique and reducing project costs.

Abstract Objective: Following the national proclaim of Measles Elimination 2012, plenty of activities for controlling the incidence had practiced in Hangzhou. However, the incidence did not decrease to low degree and remained perform as gap to the elimination target. The present study aimed to describe the epidemiological characteristics of measles, and proposed reasonable method to the target in Hangzhou.
Method: Cases were collected by the National Notifiable Diseases Surveillance System (NNDSS) from 2004 to 2011. The descriptive epidemiology was employed to analyze characteristics of measles.
Results: A total of 4712 confirmed cases were enrolled by the NNDSS with 7.87 per 100,000 people of incidence rate on average from 2004 to 2011. Individuals lived urban districts had higher risk of measles than counties. Infants aged<1 year observed the highest incidence rate with 239.35/100,000, and the age-specific incidence rate declined along with aged-group but reversed at adults. 52.20% of cases were floating cases and the measles vaccination was significantly different from the local cases (χ(2)=51.65, p< 0.001). February to June was the epidemic period for measles incidence with 81.88% of cases reported in cluster.
Conclusion: The descriptive characteristics of measles suggested that factors included infant and adult individual, floating population, and living urban area might be relate to the elimination target. More efforts were need to ensure susceptible population had accepted qualified measles vaccination.

Abstract Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between parental body weight and their children's overweight and obesity in school students in Gao Hang Town, Shanghai.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was performed in five primary schools in Gao Hang Town, Shanghai. Overall, 2,025 sets of parents and their children (7-13 years, 981 boys/1044 girls) were enrolled. Body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference for each child were measured. Age, gender, birth weight, and breastfeeding history was recorded for each child and the BMI of their parents was obtained by a self-completion questionnaire. Overweight (including obesity) was defined as a BMI of >=24.0 kg/m2 in parents and a BMI >=P85 in children according to age- and gender-specific percentiles. Re-sults: The total prevalence of overweight was higher in boys than in girls (35.5% vs 19.5%), while it was the same in fathers compared with mothers (50.6% vs 18.9%). The prevalence of overweight in boys showed a trend with increasing age, but remained stable versus age in girls. Parents were further divided into four subgroups as follows: I) both father and mother had a normal BMI; II) father overweight, mother normal weight; III) father normal weight, mother overweight; IV) both father and mother are overweight. The odds ratio of overweight was 2.26 for group II, 2.71 for group III, and 4.36 for group IV, respectively, compared with group I. Gender, paternal BMI, and maternal BMI were chosen as risk factors for children overweight.
Conclusions: Parental BMI affects their offspring overweight and obesity in Chinese school students.

Abstract Introduction: In order to evaluate water quality of a canal system, the spatial pattern of protozoan communities in response to physicochemical variables was studied in the Hangzhou section of the Grand Canal, northern China during a 1-year cycle (February 2008-January 2009).
Materials and methods: Protozoan samples were monthly collected at six sampling stations with a spatial gradient of environmental status. Physicochemical parameters, e.g., water temperature, dissolved oxygen, chemical oxygen demand (COD), biological oxygen demand, total nitrogen (TN), and total phosphorus (TP), were measured synchronously for comparison with biotic parameters.
Results: The protozoan community structures represented significant differences among the six sampling stations. The spatial patterns of protozoan communities were significantly correlated with the changes of chemical variables, especially COD, either alone or in combination with TP and/or TN. Of 88 protozoan taxa recorded over the study period, ten species (e.g., Carchesium polypinum, Colpidium campylum, Prorodon teres, Vorticella putrina, Zoothamnium arbuscula, Euglena spp., and Phacus spp.) were significantly related to COD, either alone or in combination with TP and/or TN.
Conclusion: These findings suggest that protozoa can be used as a robust bioindicator of water quality in freshwater river systems.

Abstract In this work, we propose AGKN (attention-based graph learning kernel network), a novel framework to incorporate information of correlated firms of a target stock for its price prediction in an end-to-end way. We first construct a stock-axis attention module to extract dynamic and asymmetric spatial correlations through the kernel method and a graph learning module into which more accurate information can be integrated. An ensemble time-axis attention module is then applied to learn temporal correlations within each stock and market index. Finally, we utilize a transformer encoder to jointly attend to obtain information from different levels for correlations’ aggregation and prediction. Experiments with data collected from the Chinese stock market show that AGKN outperforms state-of-the-art baseline methods, making up to 4.3% lower error than the best competitors. The ablation study shows that AGKN pays more attention to hidden correlation between stocks, which improves model’s performance greatly.

Abstract Gentle slope belts of lacustrine basins are important areas for the generation of stratigraphic petroleum reservoirs controlled by sedimentary systems. Based on coring, well logging, 3D seismic and analytical test data, the sedimentary system and sandbody distribution characteristics of the Jurassic Toutunhe Formation (J₂t) in the Fudong slope of the Junggar Basin were analysed. The results indicated that the Fudong slope showed the characteristics of low sediment input. Sediments mainly originated from the Shaqi uplift, and the sediment input gradually weakened from the early to the late J₂t stages. The sedimentary system evolved from a delta to a meandering river, resulting in a delta front facies in the 1st member (J₂t₁) and a meandering river facies in the 2nd (J₂t₂) and 3rd (J₂t₃) members of the Toutunhe Formation. A sedimentary evolution pattern for the gentle slope with low sediment input was established. Thick deltaic sandbodies developed locally in the J₂t₁ stage. However, meandering rivers with high sinuosities predominantly developed and resulted in a striped geometry in the J₂t₂ and J₂t₃ members. Moreover, the meandering sandbodies exhibited an anastomosing morphology after multistage superposition. The channel and point bar facies in J₂t₂ were more developed than those in J₂t₃ because of sediment input differences. Under low-sediment input conditions, the sedimentary environment of the gentle slope belt in the lacustrine basin was controlled by changes in the palaeoclimate, palaeogeomorphology, gradient (slope) and base level. Palaeoclimate was the main factor controlling the evolution of the sedimentary environment. Palaeogeomorphology and slope controlled the distribution of sedimentary microfacies, channel sinuosity and sandbodies. Base-level change restricted the sandbody superimposition style. Under the low sediment input conditions of the Fudong slope, the subaqueous distributary channels of the delta environment and the point bars of the meandering river environment in the transitional belt of the Fudong slope are the main potential targets for stratigraphic petroleum reservoirs, whilst the 2nd member of the Toutunhe Formation (J₂t₂) is the main favourable interval for stratigraphic reservoir exploration.
