Abstract In China, women who are childless or have children outside of heterosexual marriage are generally stigmatized. Consequently, Chinese sexual minority women are challenged for their willingness to have children. This study explored how multiple (structural-interpersonal-individual) levels of sexual minority stigma are related to parenting desire among Chinese sexual minority women. Furthermore, it examined the mediation mechanism of individual stigma and the moderation effect of outness to one's family in the link between structural/interpersonal stigma and parenting desire. Participants (265 lesbian and 193 bisexual women) completed online measures of structural stigma (adherence to Confucianism), interpersonal stigma (discrimination events), individual stigma (internalized homophobia and rejection sensitivity), outness to one's family, and parenting desire. Lesbian women reported lower structural and individual stigma and parenting desire levels than bisexual women. Sexual minority women's high adherence to Confucianism, internalized homophobia, and rejection sensitivity were positively associated with their increased parenting desires. Notably, adherence to Confucianism and discrimination events were associated with parenting desire through internalized homophobia, but not rejection sensitivity; moreover, outness to one's family buffered the direct link between adherence to Confucianism and parenting desire and strengthened the direct link between discrimination events and internalized homophobia and the indirect link between discrimination events and parenting desire. This study contributes to a robust understanding of how sexual minority stigma is connected to parenting desire among sexual minority women in Chinese sociocultural contexts, providing cultural-specific evidence to support theories of stigma and minority stress.

Abstract Childhood sexual abuse (CSA) is a critical risk factor for suicidal ideation and attempts, especially among gay and bisexual men who experience living as a minority. However, whether internalized homophobia (IH) underlies suicide risk and the role of outness to one's family in this association warrants investigation to inform preventive interventions. Using a cross-sectional survey of 570 gay and bisexual men in China, we examined the relationship between CSA and suicidality in the Chinese context and tested a moderated mediation model in this relationship. Nearly 65.6% of the participants had experienced suicidal ideation and 36.8% had attempted suicide. Participants with a history of CSA had higher suicidal ideation (

Abstract Background: The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to introduce the relatively novel method of ultrasound-guided local lauromacrogol injection (USG-LLI) followed by dilatation and curettage for caesarean scar pregnancy (CSP) and to investigate the clinical safety and efficacy between uterine artery embolization (UAE) and USG-LLI in the treatment of CSP.
Methods: The relevant literature and articles about USG-LLI, UAE and CSP published in eight electronic databases were searched to extract the primary outcomes for the selected articles. Review Manager Software(RevMan) V.5.2 was used for quantitative data synthesis and data analysis. Forest plots, sensitivity analysis and bias analysis were also performed on the included articles.
Results: Of 10 studies included in our search, 623 patients were in the USG-LLI group and 627 patients were in the UAE groups. There were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of success rate, blood loss and time to human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) normalization. However, USG-LLI group patients than UAE group patients had a shorter duration of hospital stay (mean difference [MD] = -1.97; 95% confidence intervals [CI] -2.63 to -1.31; P < 0.05; I
Conclusions: The results demonstrate that USG-LLI is comparable in curative effect and success rates with UAE in the therapy of CSP, but patients in the USG-LLI group seem to have fewer complications rates, shorter duration of hospital stays and lower costs.

Abstract Myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) are important participants after acute myocardial infarction (AMI), but the role of their different subtypes in AMI remains controversial. The anti-inflammatory effect of ticagrelor in AMI has been discovered. However, the detailed anti-inflammatory mechanism has not been fully demonstrated. In this study, we aimed to determine whether ticagrelor can regulate the differentiation of MDSCs into anti-inflammatory subgroups to exert anti-inflammatory effects after AMI. In vitro experiments revealed no difference in the mRNA and protein expression of P2Y12 receptors on MDSCs and macrophages. Ticagrelor promotes the differentiation of in vitro cultured MDSCs to monocytic-MDSCs (M-MDSCs). A mouse AMI model was established to investigate the anti-inflammatory effects of ticagrelor in vivo after AMI by interfering with the differentiation of MDSCs. On the first day after AMI, spleen-derived polymorphonuclear-MDSCs (PMN-MDSCs) were predominant in the circulation and infarcted heart. Ticagrelor increased the percentage of M-MDSCs in the circulation and infarcted heart of AMI mice in a dose-dependent manner, attenuated cardiac inflammation and increased cardiac contractile function. M-MDSC injection significantly decreased cardiac inflammation levels and improved cardiac function in splenectomized AMI mice compared with PMN-MDSC injection. These data point to a novel anti-inflammatory role for ticagrelor after AMI by interfering with the differentiation of MDSCs.

Abstract The objective of this study was to predict Ki-67 proliferation index of meningioma by using a nomogram based on clinical, radiomics, and deep transfer learning (DTL) features. A total of 318 cases were enrolled in the study. The clinical, radiomics, and DTL features were selected to construct models. The calculation of radiomics and DTL score was completed by using selected features and correlation coefficient. The deep transfer learning radiomics (DTLR) nomogram was constructed by selected clinical features, radiomics score, and DTL score. The area under the receiver operator characteristic curve (AUC) was calculated. The models were compared by Delong test of AUCs and decision curve analysis (DCA). The features of sex, size, and peritumoral edema were selected to construct clinical model. Seven radiomics features and 15 DTL features were selected. The AUCs of clinical, radiomics, DTL model, and DTLR nomogram were 0.746, 0.75, 0.717, and 0.779 respectively. DTLR nomogram had the highest AUC of 0.779 (95% CI 0.6643-0.8943) with an accuracy rate of 0.734, a sensitivity value of 0.719, and a specificity value of 0.75 in test set. There was no significant difference in AUCs among four models in Delong test. The DTLR nomogram had a larger net benefit than other models across all the threshold probability. The DTLR nomogram had a satisfactory performance in Ki-67 prediction and could be a new evaluation method of meningioma which would be useful in the clinical decision-making.

Abstract The coastal mudflats in central Jiangsu Province are influenced by the sediment supply from the Yangtze River and the abandoned Yellow River. However, the sources of sediment in this area have yet to be confirmed, and quantitative studies have been limited. In this study, we addressed this gap by obtaining sediment core samples with lengths of approximately 100 cm from Dongtai and Sheyang, respectively, on the central coast of Jiangsu Province in 2018. The sediment sources were identified and quantitatively evaluated using a grain-size end-member(EM) model. The findings revealed that (1) Sheyang was decomposed into five EMs, with EMs 1-3 originating from the abandoned Yellow River, EM 4 originating from the Yangtze River and the North Jiangsu radial sand ridges (NJRSR), and EM 5 originating from the NJRSR. Over a century scale, the abandoned Yellow River contributed 73.91% to sediment deposition in Sheyang, while the Yangtze River and the NJRSR contributed 26.09%. (2) Dongtai was decomposed into six EMs, with EMs 1-4 originating from the abandoned Yellow River, EM 5 originating from the Yangtze River, and EM 6 originating from the Yangtze River and the NJRSR. Over a century scale, the abandoned Yellow River contributed 70.55% to sediment deposition in Dongtai, and the Yangtze River and the NJRSR contributed 29.45%. (3) On a temporal scale, the contribution of the abandoned Yellow River to sediment deposition on the central mudflats of Jiangsu Province showed an increasing trend. Spatially, the contribution of the abandoned Yellow River to sediment deposition decreased from north to south. (4) There were significant changes in the sediment sources of Sheyang and Dongtai at the depths of 56 cm and 60 cm, respectively, which both experiencing an increased sediment supply from the abandoned Yellow River. In Dongtai, the sediment on the southern side had increased contributions from the abandoned Yellow River due to a reduction in the sediment supply from the Yangtze River. In Sheyang, the sediment on the northern ...

Abstract AbstractSepsis is still the leading cause of death as a result of infection. Metabolic disorder plays a vital role in sepsis progression. Glycolysis intensification is the most characteristic feature of sepsis-related metabolic disorders. The enzyme 6-phosphofructo-2-kinase/fructose-2,6-bisphosphatase 3 (PFKFB3) is a critical engine that controls the rate of glycolysis. Recent studies have revealed that sepsis accelerates the rate of PFKFB3-driven glycolysis in different cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, endothelial cells and lung fibroblasts. Furthermore, increased PFKFB3 is closely related to the excessive inflammatory response and high mortality in sepsis. Interestingly, inhibition of PFKFB3 alone or in combination has also shown great potential in the treatment of sepsis. Therefore, an improved understanding of the canonical and noncanonical functions of PFKFB3 may provide a novel combinatorial therapeutic target for sepsis. This review summarizes the role of PFKFB3-driven glycolysis in the regulation of immunocyte activation and nonimmune cell damage in sepsis. In addition, we present recent achievements in the development of PFKFB3 drugs and discuss their potential therapeutic roles in sepsis.KEY MESSAGESepsis induces high expression of PFKFB3 in immunocytes and nonimmune cells, thereby enhancing cellular glycolytic flux.PFKFB3-driven glycolysis reprogramming is closely related to an excessive inflammatory response and high mortality in sepsis.Inhibition of PFKFB3 alone or in combination provides a novel combinatorial therapeutic target for sepsis.
