Abstract RENEWABLE ENERGY INNOVATIONS This critical text, designed for microbiologists, biotechnologists, entrepreneurs, process engineers, chemical engineers, electrical engineers, physicists, and environmentalists, assesses the current knowledge about lab-scale and large-scale production of renewable and sustainable fuels, chemicals, and materials. Global warming is having a huge impact on the world's ecosystem. Glaciers have shrunk, ice on rivers and lakes is breaking up early, and plant and animal ranges have relocated. On a worldwide scale, the threat posed by climate change and pollution is obvious. A green and sustainable future necessitates using renewable resources to produce fuels, chemicals, and materials. This book investigates diverse bioprocesses that are crucial to everyday life, including the key concerns regarding the generation of biofuels, energy, and food securities, along with waste management. Commercial interest in biotechnological processes has risen to produce pharmaceuticals, health supplements, foodstuffs, biofuels, and chemicals using a biocatalyst such as enzymes, microorganisms, plant cells, or animal cells in a bioreactor. The sustainability of renewable biomass, replacement of depleted fossil fuels, and the mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions from the existing chemical and oil industries are the key benefits of switching to bioproducts. This book discusses bioprocessing to produce biofuels, biobased chemicals, bioproducts, and biomass biorefinery processes. This involves designing novel pretreatment and fractionation technologies for lignocellulose biomass into cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin and the conversion of these streams into biofuels and biobased chemicals via biochemical and thermochemical routes. This book also covers the advancement of oleaginous microorganisms for biofuels and nutraceutical, biological wastewater treatment. Written and edited by authors from leading biotechnology research groups from across the world, this exciting new volume covers all of these technologies, including the basic concepts and the problems and solutions involved with the practical applications in the real world. Whether for the veteran engineer or scientist, student, manager, or another technician working in the field, this volume is essential for any library.

Abstract Non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs) have significantly impacted the HIV-1 wild-type due to their high specificity and superior potency. As well as different combinations of NNRTIs have been used on clinically approved combining highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) to resist the growth of HIV-1 and decrease the mortality rate of HIV/AIDS. Although the feeble strength against the drug-resistant mutant strains and the long-term damaging effects have been reducing the effectiveness of HAART, it could be a crucial challenge to develop novel Anti-HIV leads with a vital mode of action and the least side effects. The extensive chemical reactivity and the diverse chemotherapeutic applications of the 1,3,5-triazine have provided a wide scope of research in medicinal chemistry via a structural modification. In this review, we focused on the Anti-HIV profile of the tri-substituted s-triazine derivatives with structure-based features and also discussed the active mode of action to evaluate the significant findings. The tri-substituted 1,3,5-triazine derivatives have been found more promising to inhibit the growth of the drug-sensitive and drug-resistant variants of HIV-1, especially HIV-1 wild-type, HIV-1 K103N/Y181C, and HIV-1 Tyr181Cys. It has been observed that these derivatives have interacted with the enzyme protein residues via a significant

Abstract Aneurysm of Aortic sinus of Valsalva (ASOV) dissecting into the interventricular septum (IVS) and rupturing into the left ventricle (LV) is a rare clinical diagnosis. Systemic inflammatory diseases like tuberculosis can aggravate this condition. We describe three cases of ASOV dissecting into the IVS and rupturing into the LV. All three patients underwent surgical intervention; two had a successful outcome. A literature review was conducted and19 previously reported cases were studied. The extent and direction of septal dissection determined the associated cardiac valvular and rhythm problems. Patch closure of the mouth of the aneurysm is the surgical method of choice. In the presence of multiple sinus tracts or if there is recurrence after surgical closure, aortic sinus or root replacement techniques have better outcomes.

Abstract The use of myocardial perfusion imaging during a stress cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) examination for the evaluation of coronary artery disease is now recommended by both US and European guidelines. Several studies have demonstrated high diagnostic accuracy for the detection of hemodynamically significant coronary artery disease. Stress perfusion CMR has been shown to be a noninvasive and cost-effective alternative to guide coronary revascularization.
