Abstract ABSTRACT Introduction: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), also known as non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM), accounts for more than 90% of the total number of diabetes mellitus cases and often occurs in middle-aged and elderly people. Objective: To investigate the effect of exercise intervention on insulin resistance in obese type 2 diabetes patients. Methods: Eighty-six obese diabetic patients were screened as experimental subjects in physical examinations and randomly divided into observation and control groups. Visceral fat volume, fasting blood glucose, and fasting insulin of all subjects were measured before and after completion of the 6-month experimental implementation. The insulin resistance was calculated for both groups and the values for each indicator were compared statistically between groups. Results: Control of body weight, body mass index, blood glucose, blood lipids and insulin resistance index were better in the observation group than in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusions: Basal intervention with quantitative exercise can significantly improve insulin resistance in obese type 2 diabetes patients and the effect is better than treatment with diet and conventional exercise. Level of evidence II; Therapeutic studies - investigation of treatment results.

Abstract Doxorubicin (DOX) is a broad-spectrum, highly effective antitumor agent; however, its cardiotoxicity has greatly limited its use. Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is an endogenous gaseous transmitter that exerts cardioprotective effects via the regulation of oxidative stress and apoptosis and maintenance of mitochondrial function, among other mechanisms. AP39 is a novel mitochondria-targeted H2S donor that, at appropriate concentrations, attenuates intracellular oxidative stress damage, maintains mitochondrial function, and ameliorates cardiomyocyte injury. In this study, DOX-induced cardiotoxicity models were established using H9c2 cells and Sprague-Dawley rats to evaluate the protective effect of AP39 and its mechanisms of action. Both in vivo and in vitro experiments showed that DOX induces oxidative stress injury, apoptosis, and mitochondrial damage in cardiomyocytes and decreases the expression of p-AMPK/AMPK and UCP2. All DOX-induced changes were attenuated by AP39 treatment. Furthermore, the protective effect of AP39 was significantly attenuated by the inhibition of AMPK and UCP2. The results suggest that AP39 ameliorates DOX-induced cardiotoxicity by regulating the expression of AMPK/UCP2.

Abstract After years of exploration in Beier Sag, the exploration is becoming more and more difficult. Beier Sag is characterized by many faults and complex structures. For a long time, the exploration and development effect of many fault blocks is not good due to unclear structure and poor reservoir prediction effect. Therefore, through the close combination of Geology and earthquake, we need to use the fine structure interpretation technology to interpret the seismic data carefully, and on this basis, we need to carry out the fine characterization of favorable reservoirs through the appropriate reservoir prediction technology. The fusion frequency inversion technology is based on improving the resolution through different inversion methods, combining with dominant frequency fusion, applying simulated annealing inversion and geostatistics (SMI) inversion to calculate separately, then fusing the inversion results of dominant frequency, and interpreting the fusion results, and finally accurately predicting the reservoir distribution in the fan body, favorable exploration targets should be implemented.

Abstract Rationale: Posterior wall comminuted fractures of the acetabulum are typically caused by high-energy trauma, and the complex anatomical structure of the acetabulum makes their treatment challenging. However, reports of the treatment of fresh acetabular fractures combined with femoral head necrosis are extremely rare.
Patient concerns: A 57-year-old male, injured in a car accident, presented with right hip pain and limited mobility. At the age of 50, the patient was diagnosed with avascular necrosis of the right femoral head, experiencing right hip pain and a limp while walking, for which conservative treatment was initiated.
Diagnosis: The patient was clinically diagnosed with fresh comminuted posterior wall acetabular fracture and late-stage femoral head necrosis.
Interventions: We applied 3D printing technology and computer-assisted virtual surgical techniques for preoperative planning, simulated fracture reduction, and designed personalized bone plates and screws for fixation of the posterior wall of the acetabulum. A single-stage total hip arthroplasty was performed to treat femoral head necrosis.
Outcomes: He began walking with the assistance of a walker 1 month after surgery, and at 6 months post-surgery, the acetabular posterior wall fracture had effectively healed, allowing the patient to return to work.
Lessons: The application of 3D printing technology in acetabular internal fixation and total hip arthroplasty is helpful for fracture assessment, facilitates smooth surgery, promotes fracture reduction and healing, restores hip joint function, and ensures a high level of safety.
