Title translation Method of surgical treatment of patients with oculocutaneous albinism using artificial iris.
Abstract Oculocutaneous albinism is a group of autosomal recessive disorders that directly affect the hypopigmentation of the skin, hair, and eyes. According to the World Health Organization, albinism occurs in 1 out of 20 000 people in Europe and North America. Congenital changes in the organ of vision in albinism lead to a significant decrease in the visual functions of patients, worsening their quality of life.
Purpose: To study the results of surgical treatment with implantation of an artificial iris as a diaphragm element in patients with albinism.
Material and methods: This article was based on the examination and treatment of 2 patients suffering from oculocutaneous albinism, which is characterized by hypopigmentation of the iris and retinal pigment epithelium of the retina, foveolar hypoplasia, low visual acuity, nystagmus, strabismus and excruciating photophobia. The patients were implanted an artificial iris in both eyes with fixation in the capsular bag in the first patient, and in the ciliary sulcus in the second.
Results: In both patients, complaints of photophobia and optical phenomena have ceased. Visual acuity increased to 0.2 and remained without regression throughout the entire period of observation. Intraocular pressure and hydrodynamic parameters also remained stable throughout the observation period. The artificial irises were observed by ultrabiomicroscopy to remain in a stable position both when it was implanted in the capsule bag, and when it was seamlessly fixed in the ciliary sulcus.
Conclusion: The surgical interventions relieved patients from glare, at the same time improving visual acuity without correction, as well as achieving a pronounced cosmetic effect and visual rehabilitation. Artificial irises have proven to be a safe and effective way to treat patients with oculocutaneous albinism.

Abstract Following the trend of finding better thermoelectric materials among synthetic analogs of copper–chalcogenide minerals, we have synthesized iron-bearing colusites of a general formula Cu 26− x Fe x V 2 Sn 6 S 32 . They crystallize in the cubic space group P-43n with the unit cell parameter increasing linearly with the iron content. At a low iron concentration, the crystal structure features disorder manifested by an anti-site effect and a shift of a part of the tin atoms from their ideal positions, which is absent for higher iron contents. The magnetization and 57 Fe/ 119 Sn Mössbauer studies showed that, for x = 1, iron is present as Fe 3+ , whereas for x > 1, Fe 2+ and Fe 3+ coexist. Additionally, weak antiferromagnetic interactions between iron atoms and fast on the 57 Fe Mössbauer time scale (10 7 –10 9 s −1 ) electron transfer between adjacent Fe 2+ and Fe 3+ centers were revealed. Thermoelectric studies showed that iron-bearing colusites are p -type semiconductors with low thermal conductivity stemming from their complex crystal structure and structural disorder. The highest ZT of 0.78 at 700 K was found for the x = 1 iron content, where iron is present as Fe 3+ only.

Title translation Effects of remantadine on fusion of lipid membranes of influenza A virus with plasma and internal membranes of lymphoblastic cells.
Abstract The method of fluorescence dequenching was used to study the interaction between influenza virus A/Krasnodar/101/59 and Namalwa and Raji lymphoblastoid cells. Experiments with endocytosis inhibitors and fluorescence quenchers have shown that at pH = 5.0 the virus lipid envelopes are fused with the plasma membranes of the cells, and at pH = 7.4 the virus lipid envelopes are fused with the internal, presumably endosomal, membranes of the cells. Remantadine at a concentration of 50-1000 micrograms/ml did not influence the fusion of virus lipid envelopes with intracellular membranes at pH = 7.4 whereas at pH = 5.0 it inhibited, beginning from 25 micrograms/ml concentration, the fusion of virus lipid envelopes with the plasma membranes of cells.

Abstract: ... momentum, and rapidity in Au+Au collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=2.4  GeV. Combining ...

Abstract Flow coefficients v_{n} of the orders n=1-6 are measured with the High-Acceptance DiElectron Spectrometer (HADES) at GSI for protons, deuterons, and tritons as a function of centrality, transverse momentum, and rapidity in Au+Au collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=2.4  GeV. Combining the information from the flow coefficients of all orders allows us to construct for the first time, at collision energies of a few GeV, a multidifferential picture of the angular emission pattern of these particles. It reflects the complicated interplay between the effect of the central fireball pressure on the emission of particles and their subsequent interaction with spectator matter. The high precision information on higher order flow coefficients is a major step forward in constraining the equation of state of dense baryonic matter.

Title translation Visual rehabilitation of patients with large post-traumatic defects of the anterior eye segment through iris-lens diaphragm implantation.
Abstract The diversity of methodological approaches and lack of pathogenetically reasonable tactics for patients with combined ocular injuries became the basis for the development and systematization of surgical rehabilitation stages of patients, in whom post-traumatic cataract is combined with post-traumatic aniridia and corneal scarring.
Aim: to construct a visual rehabilitation approach to patients with post-traumatic defects of the anterior eye segment following optical-reconstructive surgery that involved implantation of an iris-lens diaphragm (ILD).
Material and methods: We have analyzed 80 reconstructive cases with ILD implantation in patients with post-traumatic aniridia and corneal damage. These patients constituted the first study group (Group 1). We have also investigated 58 eyes with residual ametropy and stable visual function 1 year after ILD implantation before and after conducting a laser keratorefractive surgery. These patients were assigned to the second study group (Group 2).
Results: Rehabilitation approach to patients after anterior segment injuries that has been proposed allows to achieve high clinical and functional results and reduce the risk of intra- and postoperative complications.
Conclusion: The proposed approach to patients after optical-reconstructive surgery with iris-lens diaphragm implantation followed by keratorefractive surgery is an effective method of visual rehabilitation of anterior eye segment post-traumatic defects.

Abstract The chemical composition of the inflorescences from four Cannabis sativa L. monoecious cultivars (Ferimon, Uso-31, Felina 32 and Fedora 17), recently introduced in the Lazio Region, was monitored over the season from June to September giving indications on their sensorial, pharmaceutical/nutraceutical proprieties. Both untargeted (NMR) and targeted (GC/MS, UHPLC, HPLC-PDA/FD and spectrophotometry) analyses were carried out to identify and quantify compounds of different classes (sugars, organic acids, amino acids, cannabinoids, terpenoids, phenols, tannins, flavonoids and biogenic amines). All cultivars in each harvesting period showed a THC content below the Italian legal limit, although in general THC content increased over the season. Citric acid, malic acid and glucose showed the highest content in the late flowering period, whereas the content of proline drastically decreased after June in all cultivars. Neophytadiene, nerolidol and chlorogenic acid were quantified only in Felina 32 cultivar, characterized also by a very high content of flavonoids, whereas alloaromadendrene and trans -cinnamic acid were detected only in Uso-31 cultivar. Naringenin and naringin were present only in Fedora 17 and Ferimon cultivars, respectively. Moreover, Ferimon had the highest concentration of biogenic amines, especially in July and August. Cadaverine was present in all cultivars but only in September. These results suggest that the chemical composition of Cannabis sativa L. inflorescences depends on the cultivar and on the harvesting period. Producers can use this information as a guide to obtain inflorescences with peculiar chemical characteristics according to the specific use.

Abstract We report the synthesis and characterization of the new bismuth iron selenite oxochloride Bi2Fe(SeO3)2OCl3. The main feature of its crystal structure is the presence of a reasonably isolated set of spin S = 5/2 zigzag chains of corner-sharing FeO6 octahedra decorated with BiO4Cl3, BiO3Cl3, and SeO3 groups. When the temperature is lowered, the magnetization passes through a broad maximum at Tmax ≈ 130 K, which indicates the formation of a magnetic short-range correlation regime. The same behavior is demonstrated by the integral electron spin resonance intensity. The absorption is characterized by the isotropic effective factor g ≈ 2 typical for high-spin Fe(3+) ions. The broadening of ESR absorption lines at low temperatures with the critical exponent β = 7/4 is consistent with the divergence of the temperature-dependent correlation length expected for the quasi-one-dimensional antiferromagnetic spin chain upon approaching the long-range ordering transition from above. At TN = 13 K, Bi2Fe(SeO3)2OCl3 exhibits a transition into an antiferromagnetically ordered state, evidenced in the magnetization, specific heat, and Mössbauer spectra. At T < TN, the (57)Fe Mössbauer spectra reveal a low saturated value of the hyperfine field Hhf ≈ 44 T, which indicates a quantum spin reduction of spin-only magnetic moment ΔS/S ≈ 20%. The determination of exchange interaction parameters using first-principles calculations validates the quasi-one-dimensional nature of magnetism in this compound.

Abstract Development of vehicles for the subcellular targeted delivery of biologically active agents is very promising for the purposes of translational medicine. This review summarizes the results obtained by researchers from the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics of Intracellular Transport, Institute of Gene Biology RAS, which allowed them to design the core technology: modular nanotransporters. This approach ensures high efficacy and cell specificity for different anti-cancer agents, as they are delivered into the most vulnerable subcellular compartment within the cells of interest and makes it possible for antibody mimetics to penetrate into a compartment of interest within the target cells ("diving antibodies"). Furthermore, polyplexes, complexes of polycationic block copolymers of DNA, have been developed and characterized. These complexes are efficient both

Abstract Endonuclease activity with properties similar to those of the animal endonuclease G has been detected in extracts of rabbit liver mitochondria. This activity was detected in the fraction of proteins with molecular mass close to 30 kDa; it was stimulated by Mg²⁺ ions and inhibited by Zn²⁺ ions. In contrast to plant endonucleases WEN1 and WEN2, the rabbit endonuclease was not affected by methylation status of the substrate DNA, and S-adenosine-L-methionine inhibited it.
