Abstract The present investigation deals with a comprehensive study on the production of aluminum based alloys with the incorporation of different alloying elements and their effect on its electrical conductivity and mechanical properties. Casting of pure aluminum with different concentration and combinations of alloying additives such as cupper (Cu), magnesium (Mg) and silver (Ag) were carried out using a graphite crucible. The as-cast microstructure was modified by hot rolling followed by different heat-treated conditions viz., annealing, normalizing, quenching, and age hardening. The mechanical properties and electrical conductivity of the produced heat-treated alloys sheets under various processing conditions were carried out using tensile testing, hardness, and electrical resistivity measurements. It was found that by increasing the alloying elements content, yield strength results increased significantly by more than 250% and 500% for the as rolled and 8 h aged Al-Cu-Mg alloy, respectively. On the other hand, the electrical conductivity reduces slightly with -14.6% and -16.57% for the as rolled and 8 h aged of the same Al-Cu-Mg alloy, respectively.

Abstract Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a frequent disorder that affects reproductive-aged women and has reproductive, metabolic, and psychosocial effects. This research was intended to investigate the comparison between food intake and adipose tissue distribution in Saudi women suffering from PCOS and a control group. To determine the sociodemographic variables, a case-control study was performed with patients from King Fahad Medical City's Reproductive Endocrine and Infertility Medicine Department (REIMD). The case-control study comprised 42 PCOS patients (PCOS-Ps) and 63 as a control group, all aged 20-45 years. Three-day records were collected from participants to estimate the nutrient intake of cases and controls. A body composition analyzer was used to measure body mass index (BMI), body fat (BF), and visceral fat (VF). Biochemical measurements were taken to determine the lipid profile, total testosterone, and serum vitamin D-25-OH. The women's frequency distribution based on sociodemographic characteristics revealed significant differences within and between the groups. The variations in dietary intake between the PCOS-P and control groups were primarily in terms of total calories, carbohydrates, niacin, and folate, all of which were significantly higher in the PCOS-P group. Dietary fiber, unsaturated fat, vitamin A, vitamin B12, calcium, phosphorus, and selenium, on the other hand, were significantly higher in the control group. A majority of both groups had significantly higher BMI (overweight or obese) and higher BF, but normal VF. According to the findings, testosterone levels in PCOS-Ps were significantly higher than in the control group, but vitamin D-25-OH and high-density-lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) were significantly lower. Age, monthly income, cholesterol, low-density-lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and testosterone were the fundamental causes impacting women's anthropometric indices. In conclusion, although both groups were overweight or obese, and differences in calorie and nutrient intake, HDL-C, testosterone, and vitamin D-25-OH levels were observed. The study advises such population groups to limit their consumption of foods high in calories.

Abstract Since there is a clear correlation between poverty and corruption, mathematicians have been actively researching the concept of poverty and corruption in order to develop the optimal strategy of corruption control. This work aims to develop a mathematical model for the dynamics of poverty and corruption. First, we study and analyze the indicators of corruption and poverty rates by applying the linear model along with the Eviews program during the study period. Then, we present a prediction of poverty rates for 2023 and 2024 using the results of the standard problem-free model. Next, we formulate the model in the frame of Caputo fractional derivatives. Fundamental properties, including equilibrium points, basic reproduction number, and positive solutions of the considered model are obtained using nonlinear analysis. Sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of solutions are studied via using fixed point theory. Numerical analysis is performed by using modified Euler method. Moreover, results about Ulam-Hyers stability are also presented. The aforementioned results are presented graphically. In addition, a comparison with real data and simulated results is also given. Finally, we conclude the work by providing a brief conclusion.

Abstract This manuscript is devoted to a study of the existence and uniqueness of solutions to a mathematical model addressing the transmission dynamics of the coronavirus-19 infectious disease (COVID-19). The mentioned model is considered with a nonsingular kernel type derivative given by Caputo-Fabrizo with fractional order. For the required results of the existence and uniqueness of solution to the proposed model, Picard's iterative method is applied. Furthermore, to investigate approximate solutions to the proposed model, we utilize the Laplace transform and Adomian's decomposition (LADM). Some graphical presentations are given for different fractional orders for various compartments of the model under consideration.

Abstract Casting of aluminum with different concentration of alloying elements such as Mg, Mn (similar to that in AA5083) with additional percentages of 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3% Ti, are carried out using graphite crucible. The as-cast microstructure is modified by hot rolling to a thickness of ~ 2 mm. Mechanical and metallurgical and characterization of heat-treated thin sheets are carried out using tensile testing, hardness measurement, metallography, image analysis and optical microscope. By increasing the Ti content, the results show grain refinement and increase in the formation of Al3Ti which reflected positively on the mechanical properties. Specifically, Ultimate tensile strength is increased from 260 MPa (0 wt% Ti) to 345 MPa (0.3 wt% Ti) when using water quenching, 32.6% improvement for air cooling, and 23.3% for furnace cooling. Electrochemical corrosion behavior of heat-treated water quenched, air cooled and furnace cooled samples were tested in 3.5% NaCl solution. The results show that the heat-treated alloys have very good resistance against corrosion, while by increasing the Ti content, the corrosion rate increases due to the grain refinement phenomena.

Abstract The purpose of this paper is to investigate the approximate solution of the casting-mould heterogeneous system with Caputo derivative under the homotopy idea. The symmetry design of the system contains the integer partial differential equations and the fractional-order partial differential equations. We apply Yang transform homotopy perturbation method (YT-HPM) to find the approximate solution of temperature distribution in the casting-mould heterogeneous system. The YT-HPM is a combined form of Yang transform (YT) and the homotopy perturbation method (HPM) using He’s polynomials. Some examples are provided to demonstrate the superiority of the suggested technique. The significant findings reveal that YT-HPM minimizes the enormous without imposing any assumptions. Due to its powerful and robust support for nonlinear problems, this approach presents a remarkable appearance in the functional studies of fractal calculus.

Abstract Diagnosing diabetes early is critical as it helps patients live with the disease in a healthy way - through healthy eating, taking appropriate medical doses, and making patients more vigilant in their movements/activities to avoid wounds that are difficult to heal for diabetic patients. Data mining techniques are typically used to detect diabetes with high confidence to avoid misdiagnoses with other chronic diseases whose symptoms are similar to diabetes. Hidden Naïve Bayes is one of the algorithms for classification, which works under a data-mining model based on the assumption of conditional independence of the traditional Naïve Bayes. The results from this research study, which was conducted on the Pima Indian Diabetes (PID) dataset collection, show that the prediction accuracy of the HNB classifier achieved 82%. As a result, the discretization method increases the performance and accuracy of the HNB classifier.
