    Abstract For patients with hepatocellular carcinoma and cirrhosis, the rupture of thin lymphatic vessel walls leads to a profuse outflow of lymph fluid. Typically, chyloperitoneum tends to precede the development of chylothorax in patients with cancer. The present study describes the case of a male patient with hepatocellular carcinoma who developed chylothorax without chyloperitoneum. Computed tomography showed lymphatic system developmental abnormalities with a large volume of leaked lymph fluid. Multiple thoracic duct ligations (TDLs) failed, but a side-to-end lymphatic venous anastomosis (LVA) surgery resolved the symptoms. To the best of our knowledge, there are no reports of chylothorax occurrence after cirrhosis further complicated by congenital lymphatic abnormalities in the English-language literature. In conclusion, LVA could be appropriate to treat chylothorax when TDL is ineffective as a remedial or even prophylactic intervention.

    Abstract Forecasting China's carbon price accurately can encourage investors and manufacturing industries to take quantitative investments and emission reduction decisions effectively. The inspiration for this paper is developing an error-corrected carbon price forecasting model integrated fuzzy dispersion entropy and deep learning paradigm, named ICEEMDAN-FDE-VMD-PSO-LSTM-EC. Initially, the improved complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise (ICEEMDAN) is used to primary decompose the original carbon price. Subsequently, the fuzzy dispersion entropy (FDE) is conducted to identify the high-complexity signals. Thirdly, the variational mode decomposition (VMD) and deep learning paradigm of particle swarm optimized long short-term memory (PSO-LSTM) models are employed to secondary decompose the high-complexity signals and perform out-of-sample forecasting. Finally, the error-corrected (EC) method is conducted to re-modify and strengthen the above-predicted accuracy. The results conclude that the forecasting performance of ICEEMDAN-type secondary decomposition models is significantly better than the primary decomposition models, the deep learning PSO-LSTM-type models have superiority in forecasting China carbon price, and the EC method for improving the forecasting accuracy has been proved. Noteworthy, the proposed model presents the best forecasting accuracy, with the forecasting errors RMSE, MAE, MAPE, and Pearson's correlation are 0.0877, 0.0407, 0.0009, and 0.9998, respectively. Especially, the long-term forecasting ability for 750 consecutive trading prices is outstanding. Those conclusions contribute to judging the carbon price characteristics and formulating market regulations.

    Abstract It is difficult to adapt the traditional section margin distribution method to the power system with a high proportion of renewable energy generation (REG). This paper proposes a section margin allocation method of REG clusters considering the randomness of source and load power. Firstly, the probability density function of the predicted REG power error is estimated, the probability that REG stations meet the output command after the section margin distribution is calculated, and the output realization probability of each REG station is discussed. The typical operation mode set of the REG cluster is then obtained by clustering the REG stations according to the operation history, and the load rise space of the REG cluster under each typical operation mode is calculated. Considering the randomness of REG power and its load power, the section margin is allocated to each REG station in the REG cluster so as to ensure that each REG station reaches the highest output probability. On the premise of ensuring the safe and stable operation of the grid, this method facilitates the management of REG clusters and the accommodation capacity of the power system for REG. Simulations of the power system of IEEE 39 nodes verify the rationality and validity of the section margin allocation method.

    Abstract The successful preparation of supramolecular block copolymers (SBCPs) by living supramolecular assembly technology requires two kinetic systems in which both the seed (nucleus) and heterogenous monomer providers are in non-equilibrium. However, employing simple monomers to construct the SBCPs via this technology is almost impossible because the low spontaneous nucleation barrier of simple molecules prevents the formation of kinetic states. Here, with the help of confinement from layered double hydroxide (LDH), various simple monomers successfully form living supramolecular co-assemblies (LSCA). LDH overcomes a considerable energy barrier to obtain living seeds to support the growth of the inactivated second monomer. The ordered LDH topology is sequentially mapped to the seed, second monomer, and binding sites. Thus, the multidirectional binding sites are endowed with the ability to branch, making the branch length of dendritic LSCA reach its maximum value of 3.5 cm so far. The strategy of universality will guide exploration into the development of multi-function and multi-topology advanced supramolecular co-assemblies.

    Abstract Cyclic GMP-AMP synthase (cGAS) and downstream stimulator of interferon genes (STING) are involved in mediating innate immunity by promoting the release of interferon and other inflammatory factors. Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) with a double-stranded structure has greater efficiency and sensitivity in being detected by DNA sensors and thus has an important role in the activation of the cGAS-STING pathway. Many previous findings suggest that the cGAS-STING pathway-mediated innate immune regulation is the most important aspect affecting tumor survival, not only in its anti-tumor role but also in shaping the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME) through a variety of pathways. However, recent studies have shown that STING regulation of non-immune pathways is equally profound and also involved in tumor cell progression. In this paper, we will focus on the non-innate immune system pathways, in which the cGAS-STING pathway also plays an important role in cancer.

    Abstract Melatonin (MT) is a vital hormone factor in plant growth and development, yet its potential to influence the graft union healing process has not been reported. In this study, we examined the effects of MT on the healing of oriental melon scion grafted onto squash rootstock. The studies indicate that the exogenous MT treatment promotes the lignin content of oriental melon and squash stems by increasing the enzyme activities of hydroxycinnamoyl CoA ligase (HCT), hydroxy cinnamaldehyde dehydrogenase (HCALDH), caffeic acid/5-hydroxy-conifer aldehyde O-methyltransferase (COMT), caffeoyl-CoA O-methyltransferase (CCoAOMT), phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL), 4-hydroxycinnamate CoA ligase (4CL), and cinnamyl alcohol dehydrogenase (CAD).     Abstract Botanical molluscicides for controlling the invasive snail Pomacea canaliculata have attracted worldwide attention because of their cost and environmental friendliness. Aqueous extracts from discarded tobacco leaf (Nicotiana tobacum) were evaluated for molluscicidal activity against different-sized P. canaliculata under laboratory conditions. The results showed that over 90% of the snails died in 1 g/L tobacco extract within 4 days, and the survival of P. canaliculata was inversely proportional to the snail size, tobacco extract concentration and length of exposure time. Adult males were more susceptible to tobacco extract than females. The snails had few chances to feed or mate in 0.5 g/L tobacco extract, and reproduction was greatly limited in 0.2 g/L. The growth of juvenile snails was inhibited in 0.2 g/L tobacco extract, but adults were unaffected. The antioxidant capacity of P. canaliculata in response to tobacco extract can be size- and sex-dependent, and the activities of superoxide dismutase, catalase, and acetylcholinesterase and the contents of glutathione and malondialdehyde were increased in adult males. These results suggest that discarded tobacco leaves can be useful as a molluscicide for controlling the invasive snail P. canaliculata based on its effects on survival, behaviour, food intake, growth performance and antioxidant capacity.

    Abstract Purpose: To evaluate the quality of fully automated stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) planning based on volumetric modulated arc therapy, which can reduce the reliance on historical plans and the experience of dosimetrists.
    Methods: Fully automated re-planning was performed on twenty liver cancer patients, automated plans based on automated SBRT planning (ASP) program and manual plans were conducted and compared. One patient was randomly selected and evaluate the repeatability of ASP, ten automated and ten manual SBRT plans were generated based on the same initial optimization objectives. Then, ten SBRT plans were generated for another selected randomly patient with different initial optimization objectives to assess the reproducibility. All plans were clinically evaluated in a double-blinded manner by five experienced radiation oncologists.
    Results: Fully automated plans provided similar planning target volume dose coverage and statistically better organ at risk sparing compared to the manual plans. Notably, automated plans achieved significant dose reduction in spinal cord, stomach, kidney, duodenum, and colon, with a median dose of D
    Conclusion: Automated planning for SBRT, without relying on historical data, can generate comparable or even better plan quality for liver cancer compared with manual planning, along with better reproducibility, and less clinically planning time.

    Abstract Apple snails (ASs), the freshwater snails of the family Ampullariidae, are widely spread in tropical and subtropical regions. Owing to their strong invasiveness and harmful effects on agricultural production and ecosystems, they have attracted considerable attention. However, less research has been conducted on the whole picture of the current research status and development trends in the ASs field. For this purpose, we conducted a bibliometric analysis based on a total of 1028 publications regarding ASs published between 1900 and 2021 using VOSviewer 1.6.18 and CiteSpace 6.1.R3 software. The results suggest that ASs research has received increasing attention in recent years. The most productive country has been the USA, while the institution with the most publications was Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas Conicet. “Zoology” was the category of the most popular subject, Journal of Molluscan Studies was the primary journal, and P.R. Martin was the most outstanding author in ASs field. Invasive alien species, alarm response, copper (Cu) exposure, taxonomy and phylogenetic analysis, Angiostrongylus cantonensis (parasite), control (including molluscicidal activity), growth and reproduction, and feeding preferences were the main research hotspots. Further, “Pomacea maculata”, “Evolution”, “Biology”, “Digestive gland”, “Phylogeny”, “Identification”, “Pomacea canaliculata caenogastropoda”, “Diversity”, and “Nonnative apple snail” have been emerging active topics in recent years. These findings can help researchers in this area to better understand the direction and advances of ASs research and are valuable for future research and agricultural practice of apple snail control.
