Abstract Electron beam additive manufacturing from dissimilar metal wires was used to intermix 5, 10 and 15 vol.% of Ti-Al-Mo-Z-V titanium alloy with CuAl9Mn2 bronze on a stainless steel substrate. The resulting alloys were subjected to investigations into their microstructural, phase and mechanical characteristics. It was shown that different microstructures were formed in an alloy containing 5 vol.% titanium alloy, as well as others containing 10 and 15 vol.%. The first was characterized by structural components such as solid solution, eutectic intermetallic compound TiCu

Title translation Protease inhibitors as an anesthetic component in ENT surgery.
Abstract Both protease inhibitors and transamine should be included in anesthesiologic management of major traumatic operations in patients with initially impaired hemostasis to control inflammatory edema development after operation. As such drugs have an analgesic activity without effect on opiate structures, their different using in combination with narcotic analgesics provides multilevel control for pain conduction that elevates the quality of anesthesia.

Title translation Pulmonary tuberculosis in former prisoners.
Abstract The examination of 123 former prisoners with pulmonary tuberculosis treated in the Republican Tuberculous Hospital in 1998-2000 versus 37 control patients demonstrated that the specific pulmonary process is revealed at younger age (20-39 years). The treatment effect in former prisoners by percentage of cavern closure is 1.8 times worse than in the controls. This can be explained by significantly higher occurrence of cases with drug-resistant M. tuberculosis and associated diseases.

Abstract Objective: The aim: Comparative analysis of average life expectancy, mortality from diseases of the circulatory system, gross regional product, and density of general practitioners in regions with different levels of urbanization.
Patients and methods: Materials and methods: We compared the following characteristics of groups classified by level of urbanization: average density of general practitioners per 10,000, average life expectancy and mortality from diseases of the circulatory system per 1,000, average gross regional product per 1 person.
Results: Results: The groups did not differ in average life expectancy. The highest rate of mortality from diseases of the circulatory system- in the group with average level of urbanization, the lowest- in the group with low level of urbanization (p<0.05). The highest value of gross regional product per person is in the group with high level of urbanization, and the lowest is in the group with low level (p<0.05). The lowest density of primary care doctors per 10,000 is in the group with high level of urbanization, and the highest is in the group with low level of urbanization (p<0.05).
Conclusion: Conclusions: When planning staffing of health care institutions, it is necessary to take into account the level of urbanization of the region and ensure status of the general practitioner as a leading medical specialist responsible for medical care during the first meeting with the patient and his subsequent follow-up.

Title translation Recovery of the dog myocardial contractile function in the diastolic period.
Abstract Isolated canine heart has an expressed ability for autoregulation of mechanical restitution irrespective of the influence of neurohumoral factors and Frank-Starling law on the work of the heart. Mechanical restitution of canine heart in diastolic period starts after the end of mechanical refractory period of the heart and develops exponentially. The higher the heart rhythm the faster the speed of mechanical restitution. The higher the heart rhythm the shorter the mechanical refractory period. Mechanical refractory period of the heart is longer than bioelectrical refractory period.

Abstract Objective: The aim: To establish that there are differences in the density trends of surgeons in some European countries and 16 OECD countries and to compare the trends of the density of surgeons in some European countries and 16 OECD member countries, 2005 - 2018.
Patients and methods: Materials and methods: The study is based on data of the Centre for Medical Statistics of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine obtained during 2005-2020 and OECD data obtained during 2005-2018. The Difference-in-Differences method has been used to determine the density trends differences, the regression analysis method - to predict the number of surgeons in 2020.
Results: Results: In 2020, there were 28,559 surgeons (0.687 per 1,000) in Ukraine, which is by 17.7% less than in 2005. From 2005 to 2018, the density of surgeons per 1000 in Ukraine and the United States decreased (-7.45% and -2.5%). In Korea (+ 78.38%), Greece (+ 65.52%), Lithuania (+ 58.57%), Slovenia (+ 45.65%) and other 11 countries the surgeon's density increased. In 2030, Ukraine is predicted to significantly reduce the number of surgeons, general surgeons, ophthalmologists and urologists; as well as to increase the number of cardiovascular surgeons. The number of proctologists, oncologists-surgeons, neurosurgeons, thoracic surgeons, orthopaedists-traumatologists and anaesthesiologists will not change significantly.
Conclusion: Conclusions: It is possible to state the availability of surgical care according to the density of surgeons in Ukraine, similar to the level of OECD countries. In 2030, the number of surgeons is projected to decrease, with the exception of cardiovascular surgeons.

Title translation Experience with the use of clopheline in geriatric anesthesiology.
Abstract The new aspects of the use of the central adrenopositive agent clopheline as a component of combined endotracheal anesthesia were studied. In distinction to the recommendation of some authors, clopheline was used in the preanesthesia period in an average dose of 2.5-3.0 mcg/kg (in debilitated patients in a dose of 1.8-2.2 mcg/kg). The authors examined 86 patients 60 to 85 years of age during planned and emergency operations on the biliary tract. All of them suffered from arterial hypertension: 70% had three and more concomitant diseases; 20% of patients were related to IB category of anesthesiological risk, 65% to IIB category, and 15% to IIIB category. The condition of peripheral and central hemodynamics, the stress index, and the excretion of the free forms of catecholamines (CA), their precursors, and metabolites were studied. During anesthesia with the use of clopheline by the suggested method, moderate activation of the sympathoadrenal system within the stress-norm occurs. During anesthesia as well as in the postanesthesia period the mechanisms of autoregulation, which contribute to rapid return of the activity of the sympathoadrenal system to the initial level and the control of the relationship of the synthesis and inactivation of CA, their precursors, and metabolites, are maintained. The method made it possible to reduce the doses of barbiturates to 2-3 mg/kg, and the doses of fentanyl by 3-4 times as compared with those in neuroleptanesthesia, which, in turn, facilitated rapid regaining of consciousness, adequate spontaneous breathing, a good cough reflex, and sufficient physical activity immediately after the operation. There were no complaints of pain hyperdynamic circulatory shift, trembling of muscles, suppressed respiration, and acrocyanosis.
