Abstract There are gaps in research on the relationship between effective personality and occupational health of lecturers that need to be addressed. This study, therefore, explores the relationship between effective personality and occupational health of lecturers of provincial/city political schools in Vietnam. The survey is carried out in a convenient sampling method with 365 lecturers of provincial/city political schools in Vietnam. The questionnaires are provided to the participants of professional training courses at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics. The lecturers are willing to fill in the questionnaires at the same time. Descriptive, correlative, and linear regressive analyses are applied. The findings show that all elements of the effective personality structure have positive significant statistical impacts on enhancing self-efficacy, satisfaction, and cognitive affections while negatively causing exhaustion, musculoskeletal disorders, and voice disturbance of the lecturers' occupational health. Recommendations for promoting the effective personality of lecturers are provided. However, the study results are limited to the survey participants, who are lecturers of provincial political schools. Future research could expand the survey participants as well as elements of the effective personality structure and occupational health.

Abstract Purpose: To investigate the prevalence and factors associated with frailty and impact of frailty on hospitalization due to any cause in elderly patients with chronic coronary syndrome (CCS).
Patients and methods: We conducted a study wherein we assessed frailty using Fried frailty phenotype for outpatients aged ≥60 years with CCS. Logistic regression analysis was performed to assess the factors associated with frailty. Frailty was adjusted for demographic and geriatric variables and comorbidities to assess its impact on hospitalization.
Results: Overall, 420 patients (median age 70 years [interquartile range, 65-77]; men, 74.5%) who completed the 3-month follow-up period were analyzed. Coronary revascularization for > 1 year was the most common clinical scenario for CCS (59.8%; n = 251). The prevalence of non-frail, pre-frail, and frail patients were 22.4% (n = 94), 49.7% (n = 209), and 27.9% (n = 117), respectively. In the adjusted model, three factors associated with frailty were age ≥ 75 years (odds ratio [OR] 2.29, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.39-3.75,
Conclusion: The prevalence of frailty was 27.9% in the elderly patients with CCS. Age ≥ 75 years, limitations in functional status, and heart failure were associated with increased odds of frailty. Frailty was a predictor of 3-month all-cause hospitalization in these patients.

Abstract Introduction and importance: Abdominal ectopic pregnancy (AEP) located at hepatic region and pelvic-wall ectopic pregnancy (EP) are rare entities, that provoking a potentially life-threatening condition. Due to insufficient data, a proper management of non-specific types remains a challenge for all gynecologists worldwide.
Case presentation: Two child-bearing age women were hospitalized due to delayed menstruation and a urine pregnancy test was positive without a determination of intrauterine pregnancy. The first EP case was located at the pelvic wall which identified incidentally during laparoscopy for a presumed tubal ectopic pregnancy on ultrasonography throughout. The second EP case was found at the hepatic region due to intermittent pain rising from the right upper quadrant region and serial ultrasonic findings. In our management, both cases were successfully assessed by laparoscopy and laparotomy without requiring further intervention, respectively.
Clinical discussion: An accurate diagnosis of EP location at liver and pelvic wall is totally difficult since its uncommon location. An initial assessment should be based on clinical symptoms and the treatment remains controversial. The surgical management including laparotomy and laparoscopy depends on clinical evaluation, experience of surgeon, and interdisciplinary team. Thus, these abnormal sites of ectopic pregnancy ought to take into consideration for all gynecologists in an emergency condition with a major hemorrhage.
Conclusions: In reproductive age women, primary EP at liver and pelvic wall should be considered with high index of suspicion if intrauterine pregnancy is totally excluded. Timely diagnosis, rational management by surgical excision, and a multidisciplinary team can reduce substantially adverse outcomes.

Abstract The mean sea surface in different regions is non-equipotential, rendering Vietnam's traditional approach, which relies on the Hon-Dau tide gauge station as a reference, not yet scientifically invalid. To overcome this, our study utilized the Vietnam national mean dynamic topography model (MDTVN22) for depth observations, particularly in the Gulf of Tonkin. Covering 3430 monitoring sites in Hai Phong and 813 sites in Quang Ninh, our experiments highlighted a 5 to 6 mm difference between the mean sea surface and MDTVN22 references. •Our research establishes a resilient methodology, integrating shore tide gauge station data and the MDTVN22 model, aimed at enhancing precision in depth observations.•Validation experiments in Hai Phong demonstrate a minimal discrepancy of ±0.006 m between measurements obtained from the traditional mean sea surface and the MDTVN22 model.•These findings underscore the significance of adopting the MDTVN22 model for improved accuracy in assessing Vietnam's seabed topography.

Abstract The diversity of clinical manifestations in COVID-19 has been observed not only among individuals but also among various populations in globally. HLA molecules play a central role in physiology, protective immunity, and deleterious, disease-related autoimmune reactivity or overreaction. This study exploited the association between HLA frequencies and SARS-CoV-2 susceptibility and disease severity among the Vietnamese cohort (159 patients and 52 controls). A significant difference in frequency of both HLA class I and II in mild, moderate, and severe/fatal COVID-19 patients and negative exposure individuals - the controls were observed. Regarding SARS-CoV-2 sensitivity, HLA-A*03:01, 30:01, HLA-DQA1*01:02, DRB1*15:01, and DRB5*02:02 presented higher frequency in the control group compared with infected patients but DRB1 09:01 frequency was higher in infected patients. Regarding COVID-19 severity, HLA-F*01:01, 01:03 and DPA1*01:03 and 02:01, DPB1*04:01, DQA1*01:02, and DQB1*05:02 alleles were detected with higher frequency in severe patients but DOB*01:01, DRB1*05:01 and 09:01 had a significantly higher frequency in the mild group than remaining groups. Surprisingly, HLA-DQA1*01:02 and DRB1*09:01 alleles were identified with both inversely potential roles in protective function and severe risk. The obtained data herein will contribute to explore on the role of host genetic background in the pathology of COVID-19 disease.
