Abstract Objective: Through the establishment of abortion model caused by embryo implantation difficulties, exploring the role of Yun Kang oral liquid in protecting embryos.
Methods: The pregnant rats were divided into 6 groups:normal control group (NC), model group (MG), dydrogesterone group (DT), and three dose groups of low, medium and high levels of Yun Kang oral liquid (YK-L, YK-M, YK-H), 11 in each group. From the first day of pregnancy, daily intragastric administration, the dose of DT group was 3.02 mg/kg, and the doses of Yun Kang oral liquid were 4, 6, and 9 ml/kg, respectively. The rats in NC and MG were treated with an equal volume of purified water for 10 days.On the third day of pregnancy, except for the NC group, the other groups were injected with mifepristone subcutaneously at the back of the neck at a dose of 5 mg/kg to cause an embryo implantation barrier model. On the 10th day of pregnancy, blood was collected from the abdominal aorta in each group.Serum follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), interferon-γ (IFN-γ) and interleukin (IL-4) were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The number of embryo implantation was observed in the uterus, and the pathological changes of the uterus were observed by HE staining.
Results: Compared with the NC group, the number of embryo implantation and the serum levels of FSH and IL-4 in the MG group were decreased significantly (
Conclusions: Yun Kang oral liquid may improve the endometrial pathological changes and increase the number of embryo implantation by increasing the levels of serum sex hormone FSH and immune cytokine IL-4 in embryo implantation impediment rats.

Abstract Percutaneous coronary interventions have progressed through the era of plain balloon dilation, bare-metal stent insertion to drug-eluting stent treatment, which has significantly reduced the acute occlusion and restenosis rates of target vessels and improved patient prognosis, making drug-eluting stents the mainstream interventional treatment for coronary artery disease. In recent years, drug-coated balloons (DCBs) have become a new treatment strategy for coronary artery disease, and the drugs used in the coating and the coating technology have progressed in the past years. Without permanent implant, a DCB delivers antiproliferative drugs rapidly and uniformly into the vessel wall via the excipient during a single balloon dilation. Many evidence suggests that DCB angioplasty is an effective measure for dealing with in-stent restenosis and

Abstract Academic Libraries are ideally positioned to teach data literacy. What is ‘data literacy’ in the first place? Is it the new information literacy? Will the ways we teach information literacy limit imaginative ways to teach data literacy? With those questions in mind, the Library of New York University Shanghai has explored multiple ways to teach data literacy to undergraduate students through university events, ‘for-class’ instruction and workshops, and online casebooks. (1) We initiated the yearlong series of events titled ‘Lying with Data’, inviting faculty across disciplines to each address one core data literacy question that students of data science may elude. (2) We offered workshops and in-class instruction that are up-to-date with the latest technology and that fit with the curriculum. (3) We created online casebooks on various topics in the data lifecycle, tackling user needs at different levels. Essential to our teaching activities are two core values: ‘let the quality speak for itself’, and ‘outreach by teaching’.

Abstract Cofiring biomass with coal for power generation is an affordable and ready-to-deploy technology to help reduce carbon emissions and resolve residual biomass. Cofiring has not been widely applied in China primarily because of some practical limitations, i.e., biomass accessibility, technological and economic constraints, and lack of policy support. We identified the benefits of cofiring with consideration of these practical limitations based on Integrated Assessment Models. We found that China produces 1.82 Bts/year of biomass residues, 45% of which is waste. 48% of the unused biomass can be utilized without fiscal intervention and 70% can be utilized with the subsidized Feed-in-Tariffs for biopower and carbon trading. The average Marginal Abatement Cost of cofiring is twice that of China's current carbon price. Cofiring can help China create 153 billion yuan of farmers' income annually and reduce 5.3 Bts of Committed Cumulative Carbon Emissions (CCCEs, 2023-2030), contributing to the needed CCCE mitigations to China's overall sector and the power sector by 32 and 86%, respectively. About 201 GW of coal-fired fleets are not compliant with China's 2030 carbon-peaking goals, and 127 GW can be saved by implementing cofiring, representing 9.6% of the total fleets in 2030.

Abstract Objective: HELLP syndrome is a severe complication of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy that can cause multiple organ dysfunction and maternal death in a short period of time. Although HELLP syndrome is more common in patients with pre-eclampsia (PE), there is currently no effective way to identify high-risk individuals who may progress from gestational hypertension (GH) to PE complicated with HELLP syndrome. This study aimed to establish and validate a prediction model for PE complicated with HELLP syndrome, providing a basis for early detection and identification of high-risk individuals in clinical practice.
Methods: This retrospective case-control study collected data on 326 patients with GH and 139 patients with PE complicated with HELLP syndrome from January 2015 to December 2019. An additional 206 patients with GH and 70 patients with PE complicated with HELLP syndrome who were treated from January 2020 to December 2022 were collected for external validation. General and clinical data were collected, and single-and multiple-factor logistic regression analyses were used to screen for independent factors affecting PE complicated with HELLP syndrome. The diagnostic performance of different indicators was evaluated using ROC curves. A prediction model for PE complicated with HELLP syndrome was constructed, and its efficacy was verified using ROC curves.
Results: The results of single-factor analysis showed that age, SBP, DBP, MAP, hemoglobin, AST, ALT, cholinesterase, alkaline phosphatase, gamma-glutamyl transferase, total protein, total bilirubin, direct bilirubin, indirect bilirubin, BUN, UA, creatinine, APTT, international normalized ratio of prothrombin, D-dimer, fibrinogen, fibrinogen degradation products, Ca, and aspartate-aminotransferase to platelet ratio index (APRI) were factors influencing PE with HELLP syndrome. The results of multiple-factor logistic regression analysis showed that MAP, APRI, CHE, FDP, and Ca were independent factors affecting PE complicated with HELLP syndrome. Based on these results, a prediction model was established, with Y = 9.861 + 2.998APRI + 0.055MAP + 0.014FDP - 0.005CHE - 7.452*Ca.
Conclusions: The predictive model for PE complicated with HELLP syndrome includes APRI, MAP, FDP, CHE, and Ca. This model can be used as a quantitative tool for predicting and evaluating the development of GH into PE complicated with HELLP syndrome.
