Abstract Objective: A persistent immune-mediated inflammatory disorder called psoriatic arthritis affects about 25% of persons with psoriasis. Bimekizumab, a humanized monoclonal IgG1 antibody, is a novel therapeutic approach that inhibits homodimers and heterodimers of IL-17A and IL-17F by binding to comparable locations in these molecules. Bimekizumab was the subject of a meta-analysis to assess its efficacy and safety in psoriatic arthritis patients.
Methods: All randomized clinical trials were looked up on PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science. The Systematic Review Accelerator tool was used to screen them, and RevMan was used to analyze them. The Mean Difference (MD) and 95% Confidence Interval (CI) were used to examine continuous data, whereas the Risk Ratio (RR) and 95% CI were used to evaluate dichotomous data.
Results: A total of 1364 participants from 4 trials were included in this meta-analysis. The number of participants who met the American College of Rheumatology 50 threshold was significantly higher in the bimekizumab group compared to the placebo group [RR = 4.94, 95% CI (3.73, 6.55),
Conclusion: In comparison to a placebo, bimekizumab treatment significantly improved joint and skin efficacy outcomes. Also, its safety results were acceptable.

Abstract Objective: This randomized controlled clinical trial compared the clinical efficacy of self-adhesive bulk-fill Surefil One with a traditional bulk-fill composite in class II restorations.
Materials and methods: Sixty-four direct class II composite restorations were categorized into two groups. Group I, control group (n = 32): cavities were restored by Filtek One bulk-fill composite with Scotchbond Universal (SBU) adhesive in self-etch mode, Group II, test group (n = 32): cavities were restored by Surefil One self-adhesive bulk-fill composite. The study involved a follow-up period of 1 year, during which restorations were assessed at baseline (BL), 6 months, and 12 months using Federation Dentaire Internationale (FDI) criteria. Data analysis was performed using nonparametric tests. A comparison of restoration characteristics was performed utilizing the chi-square test (X
Results: Filtek One and Surefil One bulk-fill composites revealed clinically acceptable FDI scores over 12-month recalls. Thirty-two patients (64 restorations) were available for all follow-up visits; 100% of the restorations survived. For esthetic properties, Filtek One was far better than Surefil One at all time points. However, in terms of functional and biological properties, both restorations demonstrated comparable performances.
Conclusions: Filtek One bulk-fill restorations were superior in terms of surface luster, surface staining, color match, and translucency, but Surefil One restorations performed well and were similar to Filtek One restorations; however, additional advancements and research are needed to obtain better esthetics. Furthermore, longitudinal studies with extended follow-up periods are needed to assess the clinical potential of both materials.
Clinical significance: Both Filtek One and Surefil One met the FDI criteria, with Filtek One demonstrating superior esthetic and functional qualities and similar performance regarding biological criteria. Both innovative restorative materials show potential for clinical use. Trial registered on ClinicalTrials.gov under registration number; NCT06120868:07/11/2023.

Abstract During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, people in Qatar-similar to most countries globally-were instructed by health authorities to adopt protective behaviors to avoid infection. One of these behaviors is social distancing, which is influenced by diverse variables. Using data from an online survey with 405 responses, this study performed multiple regression analysis to explore effects of personality, risk perception, and personal hygiene practices on social distancing among residents of Qatar. The results showed that 87.3% of participants reported that they preferred to stay at home and not go outside unless necessary, 60.3% said that they maintain an adequate distance when communicating with others, 68.6% reported that they do not allow relatives and friends to visit them at home, 73.5% believed that COVID-19 is a dangerous disease, and 95.8% reported that they embrace personal hygiene practices and washing hands. Furthermore, multiple regression analysis showed that conscientiousness, neuroticism, risk perception, and personal hygiene practices predicted social distancing, with moderate effect sizes. Gender differences were also found in social distancing practices, indicating that women reported higher engagement in social distancing practices than men. These results highlighted the importance of individual differences in reacting to the COVID-19 pandemic and provide important information about the predictors of social distancing practices.

Abstract Purpose: This study aimed to investigate possible association between rotating night shift (RNS) work and anthropometric markers of overall and central adiposity among male workers.
Methods: Medical records of workers who underwent medical examination at the Occupational Medicine Unit affiliated with Alexandria Faculty of Medicine were reviewed in December 2021 to extract data about RNS, overall adiposity [body mass index (BMI) from 25 to 29.9 kg/m
Results: Data of 647 male workers, including daytime workers (26.9%) and RNS workers (73.1%) who spent 1-5 years, 6-9 years, or ≥10 years working RNS, were analyzed. No association was found between RNS work and overall adiposity (BMI ≥30 kg/m
Conclusion: The study supports the idea that RNS work might not be associated with overall or central adiposity and highlights a possible association between central adiposity and age and association between BMI and age, residence, and smoking behavior. Longitudinal, larger studies are required to explore the relationship between RNS and adiposity.

Abstract Background: In the development of rheumatoid arthritis, the cytokine interleukin-6 plays a role. An interleukin-6 cytokine-specific monoclonal antibody called olokizumab directly targets this cytokine. OKZ effectiveness and safety are being evaluated through this meta-analysis.
Method: I looked up every published randomized controlled study on Clinicaltrials.gov, Scopus, Web of Science, Cochrane, and PubMed. I conducted the study using both the Mantel-Haenszel and inverse variance approaches. I evaluated bias in the included studies using the risk of bias tool 2.
Results: In this meta-analysis, five trials totalling 2227 participants, were examined. In contrast to the placebo group, the olokizumab group had a significantly higher incidence of American College of Rheumatology 20; RR = 1.83, 95% CI [1.69, 1.99], P < 0.00001. Regarding Health Assessment Questionnaire-Disability Index improvement, olokizumab significantly outperformed the placebo group; MD = -0.28, 95% CI [-0.32, -0.24], P < 0.00001. The incidence of treatment-emergent adverse events was significantly higher in the olokizumab group than in the placebo group; RR = 1.10, 95% CI [1.04, 1.17], P = 0.0006. Furthermore, the incidence of treatment-emergent serious adverse events did not differ significantly between the olokizumab group and the placebo group; RR = 0.85, 95% CI [0.60, 1.20], P = 0.35.
Conclusion: In patients with rheumatoid arthritis, olokizumab combined methotrexate is well tolerated and more effective than placebo plus methotrexate.

Abstract Objectives: This study evaluated the segmentation accuracy and reliability of free software packages and compared them with commercial alternatives.
Material and methods: A total of 36 stone models were scanned using a desktop scanner and then imaged by cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). The CBCT volumes were segmented using 2 free software packages (3D Slicer and Blue Sky Plan) and 2 commercial software packages (Mimics and OnDemand3D). Stereolithography (STL) files generated by the desktop scanner were used as the control group (reference models). The accuracy of segmentation was evaluated by (1) comparing 6 linear measurements taken from each STL model generated by the 4 software packages with that obtained by the scanner, and (2) deviation analysis of each STL model generated by the 4 software packages with that obtained by the scanner. Absolute error and percentage error, repeated measures anova and Friedman test followed by post hoc analysis, intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC), and Pearson's r were used to evaluate the accuracy of the tested software packages.
Results: There was no statistically significant difference in all intra-arch measurements obtained using the four software packages. Measurements obtained using the free software packages and the scanner showed excellent positive correlation, ranging from 0.825 to 0.988, confirming equivalence with commercial software packages.
Conclusion: Within the settings of the current study, accurate and time-saving segmentations with high positive correlation could be performed using the tested free segmentation software packages (3D Slicer and Blue Sky Plan). Nevertheless, further evaluation is necessary to gage their accuracy using different CBCT modalities.
