Abstract Two HIV-1 infections with unassigned genotypes were identified during HIV-1 pretreatment drug resistance surveillance. The near full-length genome sequences of BL5040-00 and BL5085-00 were obtained and were classified as unique recombinant forms (URFs) between CRF01_AE and CRF07_BC. Simplot (version 3.5) analyses showed that the two URFs shared similar recombinant forms, and in the backbone belonging to CRF01_AE, the

Abstract During the routine surveillance of HIV-1 pretreatment drug resistance in Beijing, five men who have sex with men (MSM) and a woman were observed to get infected by newly identified CRF103_01B strain. To elucidate the genetic characteristics, the near full-length genome (NFLG) was obtained. Phylogenetic inference indicated that CRF103_01B NFLG was composed of six mosaic segments. Segments IV and V of CRF103_01B were located among the clusters subtype B and CRF01_AE (group 5), respectively. The CRF103_01B strain was deduced to originate from Beijing MSM population around 2002.3-2006.4 and continued to spread among MSM population at a low level, then to the general population via heterosexual contact in northern China. Molecular epidemiology surveillance of CRF103_01B should be reinforced.

Abstract Bamboo is widely distributed, rapidly regenerable, and incorporates long cellulose fibers, which make it one of the most lightweight and strong natural materials. Processing bamboo into a high-performance structural material for plastic replacement is highly promising but challenging. In this study, an all-natural, high-performance structural material is derived from natural bamboo with superior mechanical and thermal properties that benefit from the introduction of surface charge and further layer-by-layer assembly of bamboo cellulose fibers. The obtained modified bamboo fiber plate (MBFP) transcends the constraints of the natural size and anisotropy of bamboo, showing high flexural strength (ca. 179 MPa) and flexural modulus (ca. 12 GPa). Moreover, the product has an extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion (ca. 11.3×10

Abstract Developing high-rate capability and long-term cycling stability cathode materials is an unremitting pursuit for the development of Mg²⁺/Li⁺ hybrid ion batteries. Herein, V-doped T-Nb₂O₅ sub-microspheres (labeled as VTNO-x, x = 1, 2, 3) were produced by a facile solvothermal reaction. The optimized VTNO-3 delivers a high reversible capacity of 208.8 mA h g⁻¹ at 0.5C, outstanding rate performance of 107.8 mA h g⁻¹ at 10C and long-term cycling stability with capacity retention of 82.2% at 5C up to 5000 cycles. The characterization results show that V-doping reduces the band gap, increases ionic diffusion coefficient and maintains structural stability, resulting in enhanced electronic conductivity, ionic conductivity and structural stability, and thus bestow T-Nb₂O₅ with excellent electrochemical performances. This work paves a new path for constructing high-rate electrode materials for energy storage.

Abstract The permeability rebound and recovery are the key factors affecting the production efficiency of CBM and the storage capacity of CO₂ during the CO₂-ECBM process. In this study, fully coupled mathematical models of multi-physical fields with thermal-hydraulic-mechanical fields were established. The phenomenon of permeability rebound and recovery is accurately illustrated, and the influence of initial geological factors and later engineering practice on its evolution is analyzed. The indicative significance of permeability evolution to CO₂ geological sequestration is further discussed. The results show that the pressure near the extraction boreholes is firstly affected and the dropping rate is large. The rate of pressure drop in reservoir away from the extraction boreholes is low to high in the early stage and high to low at the late stage. The net effect of effective stress and gas adsorption/desorption controls the rebound and recovery of permeability. When the CO₂ injected does not spread to the production well, the permeability near the injection well is mainly affected by the effective stress and the gas competitive adsorption, while the permeability near the production well is mainly affected by the effective stress and CH₄ desorption. As CO₂ injected spreads to the production well, the competitive adsorption effect gradually replaces the effective stress effect on permeability near the production well. The periodic pressurization is a new method in CO₂-ECBM engineering practice, which is a process of gradual pressurization and gas injection. Nonetheless, a pressure limit must be considered during CO₂ injection. This study has important theoretical and practical significance for explaining the production efficiency of CBM and the storage capacity of CO₂.
