Abstract The infectious disease Covid-19 has been causing severe social, economic, and human suffering across the globe since 2019. The countries have utilized different strategies in the last few years to combat Covid-19 based on their capabilities, technological infrastructure, and investments. A massive epidemic like this cannot be controlled without an intelligent and automatic health care system. The first reaction to the disease outbreak was lockdown, and researchers focused more on developing methods to diagnose the disease and recognize its behavior. However, as the new lifestyle becomes more normalized, research has shifted to utilizing computer-aided methods to monitor, track, detect, and treat individuals and provide services to citizens. Thus, the Internet of things, based on fog-cloud computing, using artificial intelligence approaches such as machine learning, and deep learning are practical concepts. This article aims to survey computer-based approaches to combat Covid-19 based on prevention, detection, and service provision. Technically and statistically, this article analyzes current methods, categorizes them, presents a technical taxonomy, and explores future and open issues.

Abstract Background: Opioid abuse is one of the most obvious problems in today's world and directly affects individuals' quality of life. The present study aimed to investigate the effects of Roy's adaptation model on the quality of life in people with opioid abuse under methadone maintenance treatment.
Methods: This randomized trial study was conducted in 2021 on 72 patients with opioid abuse under methadone maintenance treatment at the Center for Addiction Harm Reduction in Isfahan. The samples were randomly allocated into intervention (n=36) and control groups (n=36) based on the table of random numbers by computer. The intervention was conducted by implementing Roy's adaptation model in the intervention group. To analyze the data, paired t-test, independent sample t-test, chi-square test, and analysis of covariance were used.
Results: The mean ± standard deviation of the quality of life score in the intervention group (28.96±4.79) was significantly different than before the intervention (24.02±6.09) (P<0.001). At the same time, it was not significantly different in the control group. The mean ± standard deviation of the quality of life score in the intervention group (24.02±6.09) was not significantly different from the control group (20.55±8.53) before the intervention.
Conclusion: Roy's adaptation model had positive effects on the quality of life score in patients with opioid abuse. On the other hand, patients' quality of life indicates the effectiveness of methadone maintenance treatment. Therefore, it is suggested to use this model in nursing care programs.

Abstract This report describes the occurrence of omental hemangioma in a five-year-old Himalayan cat. The cat was affected by hemorrhagic gastroenteritis caused by Fusobacterium necrophorum. Also, chronic renal failure (CRF) was demonstrated according to high levels of blood urine nitrogen (BUN), creatinine (Cr), as well as hypoproteinemia and anemia. In this respect, in urinalysis, urine specific gravity (USG) decreased while urea, creatinine and total protein levels increased. Moreover, the complete blood count (CBC) tests showed neutrophilia, monocytosis and lymphopenia. During an exploratory laparotomy, nine masses with a size of 1-5 mm and firm consistency were found to be scattered on the omentum. Histologically, the masses consisted of capillary-cavernous vessels with well-differentiated endothelial cells. No mitotic figures, hemorrhage, or necrosis were found, but there was focal lymphocytic infiltration in the parenchyma of the masses. Immunohistochemically, expression of vimentin and von Willebrand factor (vWF) was found in the endothelial cells, while the immunoreaction to smooth muscle actin (αSMA) was negative. These findings confirmed the diagnosis of hemangioma. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first report of feline omental hemangioma.

Abstract Statement of the problem: Trigeminal neuralgia is the most common and disabling type of neuralgia in craniofacial region. Because of adverse effects of first and second lines of treatment, new modalities including laser therapy have been investigated for treatment of trigeminal neuralgia.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to review the effect of laser in trigeminal neuralgia. PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Science Direct, and Embase databases from December 1983 to August 2020 were searched using keywords "trigeminal neuralgia" and "laser". Our inclusion criteria were interventional studies with a randomized clinical trial design, which used laser for treatment of trigeminal neuralgia.
Materials and method: In this systematic review, a total of 269 records were identified through systematically searching aforementioned databases among which, 30 were from PubMed and 44 were from Web of Science. A total of 111 records were duplicated and were therefore removed.
Results: Only 17 records were considered relevant after reading title and abstracts. After reading full texts of the articles, 13 met the eligibility criteria and were included in our review.
Conclusion: This review revealed that low-level laser therapy reduces pain in trigeminal neuralgia specially diode lasers, although there are no standardized protocols for laser procedures.

Abstract Background and aim: The correlation between eating attitudes, positive body image, and body esteem is a pivotal area of research that has garnered substantial attention in recent years, given its implications for both mental and physical well-being. The objective of this study was to examine the interplay between positive body image, body esteem, and eating attitudes within an Iranian population.
Materials and methods: This study employed a cross-sectional study design and was conducted in the year 2022. A convenience sample of 752 participants residing in Tehran, Iran, was included in the study. The data collection tools were comprised of a demographic registration form, the Adolescence/Adults Scale (PBIAS), the Eating Attitudes Test (EAT), and the Body Esteem Scale (BES) as measurement instruments.
Results: Mean age of participants was 26.36 (SD = 8.49). Significant relationships were found among positive body image (
Conclusion: These findings suggest that individuals with positive body image and high body esteem may have healthier eating attitudes, while those with negative body image and low body esteem may be more likely to have unhealthy eating attitudes.

Abstract Background and aim: Herpes simplex viruses (HSV) are one of the most important groups of human pathogenic viruses. The prominent characteristic of this virus is latency and the ability to reactivate. One of the possible factors for reactivation of this virus is dental procedures. The aim of this study was to evaluate the salivary level of Herpes simplex viruses, before and after periodontal (crown lengthening) surgery and its relation with age and sex.
Materials and methods: 30 HSV seropositive patients, who needed the crown lengthening surgery and accepted to cooperate in this research, were included as experimental group of this study. Unstimulated Saliva samples of the patients were collected in 1.5 ml micro-tubes, before and 24 h after the surgery, and were analyzed by Premix EX taq probe qpcr, using PCR real-time method.
Results: No significant statistical differences were observed in the salivary level of HSV before and after crown lengthening procedure (p = 0.18). However, the level of HSV in saliva after surgery was significantly higher than its level before surgery in women as compared to men (p = 0.003). The differences in virus level did not have any significant relationship with patients' age (p = 0.9).
Conclusion: It seems that periodontal (crown lengthening) surgery does not affect the level of HSV in saliva yet, but it could be one of the stimulators of increased HSV level after surgery in women as compared to men; but age does not play an important role in changes of level of virus before and after the surgery.
