    Abstract Physicians, and in particular dermatologists, have undergone rigorous and multifaceted selection processes and training. This makes them a most valuable resource for the countries in which they live, regardless of licensing and actual practice of their profession or specialty. If for this alone, they should be appropriately employed by their new country of residence in a fashion satisfactory for the individuals and their community in which they now reside, providing an enlightened way that would make use of their abilities and potential. The medical community could assist by accessing their abilities and directing them to areas of endeavor, where they might contribute to their new country. This may not necessarily be in the actual practice of medicine.

The author proposes the creation of a World Medical Congregation, eventually encompassing all physicians. This integrative endeavor would model itself after the governance of the Roman Catholic Church, without the latter's obvious confessional characteristics.

    Abstract It is the intention of the author to present his ideas about the ways in which scientific information in dermatology and medicine should be transmitted in writing. There is a brief analysis of practices in the past and of current procedures, along with ideas about what the near future will bring. The approach is conservative, according to the value given to traditional methods and to ethical considerations. It is hoped that it also looks ahead for new methodologies that might enhance the scope of information. Additionally, there is discussion of corrective measures that may prevent chaos or dishonesty in the information and its use.
