    Abstract Introduction: A central question in infant spatial cognition concerns
    Methods: Thirty-eight 8-month-old infants' eye movements were recorded during a support categorization task, where infants were habituated to four dynamic events depicting support relations (e.g., resting a block on a box) and then presented with test events that depicted either a support or containment relation with objects that they had seen or not seen in the habituation phase. Based on their looking time to the familiar versus novel spatial relation in the test, infants were classified into two groups: categorizers, who formed an abstract category of a support relation, and non-categorizers, who did not do so.
    Results: During their initial phase of learning (i.e., the first habituation trial), categorizers paid greater attention to the object moved by a hand (i.e., the dynamic object) in comparison to non-categorizers, whereas their attention to the static object or their gaze shifts between the two objects did not differ. In addition, when presented with novel objects in a novel spatial relation after habituation, only categorizers displayed asymmetric attention between the objects, attending to the dynamic object more than the static object. Gaze shifts and attention to the concave area (i.e., hole) of the container did not differ between categorizers and non-categorizers.
    Discussion: These findings suggest that infants' focused attention to an object in motion may play a key role in young infants' spatial category learning, and support the idea that attention to objects can assist with encoding of the spatial relational information.

    Abstract Background/objectives: Prior studies, mostly conducted in Western countries, have suggested that the low cost of energy-dense foods is associated with an increased risk of obesity. This study aimed to investigate the association between food costs and obesity risk among Koreans who may have different food cost and dietary patterns than those of Western populations.
    Subjects/methods: We used baseline data from a cohort of 45,193 men and 83,172 women aged 40-79 years (in 2006-2013). Dietary intake information was collected using a validated food frequency questionnaire. Prudent and Western dietary patterns extracted via principal component analysis. Food cost was calculated based on Korean government data and market prices. Logistic regression analyses were performed to investigate the association of daily total, prudent, and Western food cost per calorie with obesity.
    Results: Men in the highest total food cost quintile had 15% higher odds of obesity, after adjusting for demographic characteristics and lifestyle factors (adjusted odds ratio, 1.15; 95% confidence interval, 1.08-1.22;
    Conclusions: In countries in which consumption of Western foods is associated with higher food costs, higher food costs are associated with an increased risk of obesity; however, this association differs between men and women.

    Abstract Objectives: The objective of this study was to analyze factors of regional variation in national cancer screening rate in Korea using regional cancer screening rate data. In addition, during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, we tried to identify factors affecting cancer screening rate, including COVID-19 situation in the region.
    Methods: Data provided by the National Health Insurance Service Center were used for the national cancer screening rate index data in 2020 in 229 regions. A correlation analysis was conducted to find correlation between national cancer screening rate and variation factors in the national cancer screening rate in the region to be analyzed. In addition, to confirm spatial dependence of the national cancer screening rate among regions, a global spatial autocorrelation (Global Moran's I) analysis was conducted.
    Results: In the 2020 COVID-19 situation, variable factors affecting the national cancer screening rate among regions in Korea were the regional number of populations of cumulative COVID-19 confirmed cases, concern of damage caused by COVID-19 infection, income level, the proportion of the population graduating from middle school or lower, the average daily access time to general hospitals by car, and the average daily access time to hospitals and clinics by public transportation or walking.
    Conclusions: Results of this study can be used to establish national digital health policies that reflect regional variation factors in situations such as the COVID-19 pandemic. It is believed that they can contribute to policies to promote community health in the future.
