Abstract Backgrounds: To evaluate the optical coherence tomography (OCT) biomarkers of patients with central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC) according to the presence or absence of direct anatomical relation to intervortex vein anastomosis (IVA) on indocyanine green angiography.
Methods: We reviewed the records of 39 patients with chronic CSC. Patients were categorized in 2 groups: presence of IVA(Group A) or absence of IVA(Group B) in the macular region. Localization of IVA was categorized in 3 areas according to ETDRS grid:inner 1 mm circle (area-1), 1-3 mm middle circle (area-2) and 3-6 mm outer circle (area-3).
Results: There were 31 eyes in Group A,21 eyes in Group B. Mean age of the patients was 52.5 ± 11.3years in Group A,47.2 ± 11years in Group B(p<0.001).Mean initial visual acuity (VA) was 0.38±0.38LogMAR in Group A, 0.19±0.21LogMAR in Group B(p<0.001).Mean subfoveal choroidal thickness(SFCT) was 436.3 ± 134.3µ in Group A,480.2 ± 136.6µ in Group B(p<0.001).Localization of IVA in area-1 was correlated with inner choroidal attenuation (ICA) and leakage on IVA(p = 0.011,p = 0.02). Localization of IVA in area-3 was correlated with irregular lesions on RPE(p = 0.042).Smokestack configuration, intraretinal cysts and ICA were correlated with worse initial VA(p<0.001,p = 0.001 and p = 0.04).Shaggy subtype of photoreceptor disruption was associated with better initial VA(p = 0.003).
Conclusions: We detected older age, worse initial VA and thinner SFCT in patients with chronic CSC and macular region IVA(m-IVA). Long term follow-up of patients with and without m-IVA may exhibit the difference in treatment outcomes and development of neovasculopathy.

Abstract This paper reports five novel PDI dimer type electron transport materials (ETMs) employing o-indoloquinoxaline (o-Iq), m-indoloquinoxaline (m-Iq), and cibalackrot (Ci) groups as the core building blocks and presents the twisted structures of PDI dimers coded as PDI-NHR-o-Iq, PDI-o-Iq, PDI-NHR-m-Iq, PDI-m-Iq and PDI-NHR-Ci dyes (see Scheme 1 and 2). We have systematically compared their photophysical, electrochemical, and optoelectronic properties with respect to the reference dye (2PDI-NHR), which is directly connected of two PDI planes. Their calculated HOMO-LUMO energy levels are sufficient for charge transfer to the perovskite material so that structure-photovoltaic performance relationship of synthesized ETM dyes can be evaluated. When the binding position of indoloquinoxaline group between PDI rings are changed from o- to m- positions, most of the photophysical and electrochemical properties of PDI dimer are dramatically changed, finally improving the photovoltaic performances.

Abstract Molecular engineering of additives is a highly effective method to increase the efficiency of perovskite solar cells by reducing trap states and charge carrier barriers in bulk and on the thin film surface. In particular, the elimination of undercoordinated lead species that act as the nonradiative charge recombination center or contain defects that may limit interfacial charge transfer is critical for producing a highly efficient triple-cation perovskite solar cell. Here, 2-iodoacetamide (2I-Ac), 2-bromoacetamide (2Br-Ac), and 2-chloroacetamide (2Cl-Ac) molecules, which can be coordinated with lead, have been used by adding them into a chlorobenzene antisolvent to eliminate the defects encountered in the triple-cation perovskite thin film. The passivation process has been carried out with the coordination between the oxygen anion (-) and the lead (+2) cation on the enolate molecule, which is in the resonance structure of the molecules. The Spiro-OMeTAD/triple-cation perovskite interface has been improved by surface passivation by releasing HX (X = I, Br) as a byproduct because of the separation of alpha hydrogen on the molecule. As a result, a solar cell with a negligible hysteresis operating at 19.5% efficiency has been produced by using the 2Br-Ac molecule, compared to the 17.6% efficiency of the reference cell.

Abstract The usage of the term “free verse” is perhaps the most controversial issue after Jahiliyyah’s poetry in the history of Arabic poetry. The primary discussion topics in this art revolve around who used the first free verse in his/her poetry, the ideal sample was given by whom and what should we call this form. First, the blank verse and the prose poetry, which are the pioneering literary studies to prepare using free verse, are given in terms of creating a basic in understanding of modern Arabic poetry in this article, with the leaders’ names who revealed significant studies in their field. And then, Ahmed Zaki Abu Shadi, Ali Ahmad Bakathir, Louis Awad who can be qualified as important milestones in the transition to the free verse were examined under separate headings. Then, Bedr Şâkir es-Seyyâb and Nâzik elMelâ’ike who revealed the most significant studies in their field and their poems that are alleged as “the first free verse” were investigated. Finally, the debates on the issues regarding the studies in this field with respect to the desire to be the pioneers and their efforts to give a name to the works are mentioned.

Abstract The primary aim of this study was to obtain a cost‐effective nanofiber (NCNF) on the surface of aluminum foil. The main aim of the study was to investigate the microbial quality parameters of fish flesh wrapped by aluminum foil coated with NCNF. NCNF having 128.98 nm average diameter and −2.26 mV zeta potential was successfully obtained. NCNF was utilized to delay the rapid increase in total viable bacteria (TVB), psychrophilic bacteria (TPBc), yeast and mold (TYMc), and lactic acid bacteria (LABc) growth in the fish flesh. The changes between uncoated (UC) and NCNF fish samples in TVBc reached by 35% on the fourth day of the cold storage. During the 10 day, the difference in TPBc between the two groups reached 38%. Also, the reduction in TYMc and LABc was found over 2 log colony‐forming unit (CFU)/g. Although UC samples of TVB counts exceeded 6 log CFU/g on the fourth day, the samples treated with NCNFs reached 6 log CFU/g on the eighth day. The study revealed that 0.0432 g nisin and 0.72 × 10⁻⁴ g curcumin limited the rapid microbial growth of fish flesh. Moreover, the cost of NCNF containing 0.0432 g nisin and 0.72 × 10⁻⁴ g curcumin was defined to be €1.488. PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS: The present nano process was aimed at obtaining an alternative and cost‐effective antimicrobial nanomaterial derived from highly‐cost food additive. As an effective practical application for the food industry, this obtained nanomaterial was successfully integrated on the surface of the aluminum foils. As a sample food material, the fish flesh was used in order to observe the effect of nanomaterials obtained from 0.0432 g nisin and 0.72 × 10⁻⁴ g curcumin. The results showed that cost‐effective nanomaterial was successfully obtained and also microbial spoilage was effectively controlled by wrapping fish fillets with aluminum foils. Therefore, this present study revealed that this cost‐effective nano application may be especially used for costly food materials such as caviar.
