    Abstract Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) are considered one of the most promising biomass pretreatment reagents, and their research applications in woody fibrous biomass are increasing yearly. Inspired by the research related to wood bending, we explored the effects of different DES systems on the bending development of wood, and the results showed that the addition of anhydrous ferric trichloride to the DES system of lactic acid/choline chloride could enhance the treatment effect that increased the bendability and torsion resistance of ash wood. The anhydrous FeCl

    Abstract Abstract Titanium products, regarded as a strategic metal by many national governments, play important and irreplaceable roles in national defence and military applications. China has built a large-scale titanium industrial chain, and its status and development pathways will greatly affect the global market. Several researchers contributed a set of reliable statistical data to bridge the knowledge gap in evaluating the industrial layout and the entire structure of China’s titanium industry with little literature information regarding the management of metal scrap in the manufacturers of titanium products. To bridge this data gap, we present a dataset of annual metal scrap circularity to uncover China’s evolution of the titanium industry today, which contains off-grade titanium sponge, low-grade titanium scrap, and recycled high-grade titanium swarf with the relevant circularity of the titanium industry in China at the national level from 2005 to 2020.

    Abstract Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of trimethylamine oxide (TMAO) on the incidence and prognosis of cerebral infarction.
    Methods: We searched PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane databases for all clinical studies on the association of TMAO with cerebral infarction incidence and prognosis from inception to April 2023. A systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted using the meta-analysis of observational studies in epidemiology (MOOSE) declaration list. The Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (NOS) was used to assess the quality of the study. This study protocol was registered on the PROSPERO database with the ID: CRD42023459661. The extracted data included the OR value of the effect of TMAO on the incidence and prognosis of cerebral infarction, the HR value between TMAO and underlying diseases, the RR value, 95% confidence intervals, and the AUC value of TMAO in the prediction model of cerebral infarction.
    Results: Fifteen studies including 40,061 patients were included. All the patients were from China or Germany. The TMAO level was significantly correlated with the Modified Rankin Score (mRS) 3 months after the onset of cerebral infarction (OR, 1.581; 95% CI, 1.259-1.987;
    Conclusion: TMAO is an independent risk factor affecting the onset, prognosis, and severity of cerebral infarction.

    Abstract Approximately 2-10% in-stent restenosis (ISR) may occur following percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) despite the use of modern drug-eluting stents (DES); thus, our study aimed to explore the effects of tripartite motif-containing (TRIM) 27 on ISR and the underlying mechanism. For this purpose, a total of 42 patients undergoing coronary angiography who had prior coronary angiography with DES implantation were recruited. Endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) markers (defined as CD34 and vascular endothelial growth factoreceptor-2 (VEGFR-2)) in peripheral blood were measured to asses the circulating EPC level. The TRIM family-related gene expressions were detected by reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction. Results suggested that ISR patients had reduced CD34

    Abstract This study investigates HRas-dependent mechanisms in the disruption of regulatory T (Treg) cells and T helper 17 (Th17) cells balance in ulcerative colitis (UC). Comprehensive RNA sequencing and bioinformatics analyses revealed elevated HRas and MAPK pathway-related protein expression in UC samples. Using a murine UC model induced by dextran sulfate sodium (DSS), HRas silencing was found to promote Treg cell differentiation and suppress Th17 cell production, effectively restoring balance. Inactivation of the MAPK pathway played a pivotal role in this rebalancing effect. In vivo experiments further confirmed that HRas silencing mitigated colon tissue damage in DSS-induced mice, emphasizing its potential as a therapeutic strategy for UC.
