Abstract This paper mainly analyzes the typical thermodynamic response (thermal history, thermal strain and residual stress) in a conventional continuous-wave (CW) laser during Directed Energy Deposition (DED). The influence of process parameters (laser power and scanning speed) on the temperature gradient in the heat-affected zone, thermal strain and residual stress are studied, and the corresponding relationship are established. The results show that a reduction in residual stress can be obtained by decreasing the temperature gradient. However, the method of reducing the temperature gradient by changing process parameters leads to low forming quality and low density. A pulse-wave laser (PW) is proposed to actively control the residual stress of the deposited sample. This laser mode can reduce not only the temperature gradient in the process of DED but also the in situ release of thermal stress, correspondingly greatly reducing the residual stress.

Abstract Background: Postoperative cognitive complications are major challenges for postoperative recovery. Acupuncture-related techniques have been used for treating neurocognitive dysfunctions. However, whether they help to prevent postoperative cognitive complicationss remains unclear. We intend to evaluate the effect of acupuncture-related techniques on the incidence of postoperative cognitive complications (PCC) in patients undergoing surgery under general anesthesia.
Methods: Based on PRISMA guidelines, a search of PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials and ClinicalTrials.gov was performed to identify eligible trials published from inception to June 6, 2021. The search was performed in June 2021. The inclusion criteria were prospective, randomized, controlled clinical trials that compared acupuncture-related techniques with other techniques or non-acupuncture treatment in patients undergoing surgery under general anesthesia. Pooled odds ratios (ORs), 95% CIs, and P values were estimated for end points using fixed and random effects statistical models.
Results: The analysis included 12 studies with 1058 patients. Compared with patients not receiving acupuncture, patients treated with acupuncture-related techniques had a lower incidence of PCCs (OR, 0.44; 95% CI, 0.33 to 0.59; P < 0.001; n = 968) and lower levels of biomarkers, including IL-6, TNF-α, and S100β. Acupuncture with needles and without needles showed similar effects on the prevention of PCCs. The effects of acupuncture-related techniques on PCCs were observed in both English and non-English articles. Subgroup analyses showed that both agitation and/or delirium (OR, 0.51; 95% CI, 0.34 to 0.76; P < 0.001; n = 490) and delayed cognitive recovery (OR, 0.33; 95% CI, 0.21 to 0.51; P < 0.001; n = 478) were reduced after treatment with acupuncture-related techniques. In adult studies evaluating MMSE scores, the scores were not different between groups (SMD, - 0.71; 95% CI, - 1.72 to 0.3; P = 0.17; n = 441).
Conclusions: Acupuncture-related techniques, including needle techniques and electrical techniques, are associated with fewer postoperative cognitive complications, suggesting that acupuncture could be considered a potential option in the perioperative setting. Additional research is needed to develop higher-quality evidence and optimal regimens.

Abstract A label-free electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) aptasensing method for highly sensitive determination of dopamine (DA) was developed based on target-induced DNA conformational change. After anti-DA specific aptamer, as molecular recognition element, was hybridized with a capture ss-DNA (complementary with the aptamer), the formed double-strand DNA (ds-DNA) was self-assembled onto the surface of a gold electrode, and then Ru(phen)₃ ²⁺, as ECL reagent, was intercalated into ds-DNA to form an ECL biosensing platform. In the presence of DA, DA bound with its aptamer and target-induced DNA conformational change occurred, resulting in the dissociation of ds-DNA, the release of intercalated Ru(phen)₃ ²⁺ from the electrode surface, and the decrease of ECL intensity. For comparison, an ECL aptamer-based biosensing method using an ECL reagent-labeled aptamer was also developed for DA assay based on target-induced DNA conformational change. Because of the increase in the amount of ECL reagent into ds-DNA over that of the single-site ECL reagent-labeled aptamer, an obvious increase of ECL intensity was found at the ds-DNA modified electrode over the aptamer modified electrode. DA can be sensitively detected with a lower detection limit of 0.05 nM in the range from 0.1 to 100 nM. With the recognition of the aptamer for DA, DA can be selectively and sensitively detected in artificial cerebrospinal fluid and serum samples without interference from common small molecules. This work demonstrates that the combination of the direct transduction of specific recognition of DA and its aptamer into an ECL signal with Ru(phen)₃ ²⁺ intercalated ds-DNA amplification provides a promising strategy for the development of a simple, sensitive, and selective method for DA assay, which is of great importance in neurochemical assays and clinical diagnosis.

Abstract Matrix-related pores play a significant role in controlling hydrocarbon production in organic-rich shales. Multiple matrix-related pore types of typical marine shales in the Sichuan Basin have been visually investigated and identified by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) on ultra-thin sections and by focused ion beam-scanning electron microscopy (FIBSEM) on polished sections. OM-hosted pores seem universal and range in sizes from below 1 nm to hundreds of nanometers and they are not homogeneously developed and distributed, which is mainly determined by thermal maturity and OM composition. Mineral-hosted pores are defined by mineral frameworks and occur in open spaces related to ductile or rigid grain fabric. The four porous mineral types that occur are clay intrapores, carbonate solvopores, pyrite interpores, and quartz interpores, and they range in size from less than 1 nm to more than several microns. Aggregate-hosted pores are predominantly associated with clay-organic aggregates, pyrite-organic aggregates, clay-pyrite aggregates, and clay-organic-pyrite aggregates. The most common aggregate-hosted pore networks are defined by clay-organic aggregates, and the pores are largely developed between the clay and organic layers and may be the important adsorption spaces for methane. Fracture-related pores include microchannels and microfractures of various sizes and shapes and they could play a key role in providing hydrocarbon migration pathways. FIBSEM and TEM show direct evidence that OM-hosted pores and fracture-related pores contribute more to the effective pore network and the excellent reservoir quality, whereas poor reservoir quality may come from aggregate-hosted pores.
