Abstract Achievement degree of Physical Pollution Control Engineering is analyzed for students whose major is Environmental Engineering. Through learning of this course, the students can solve practical problems related to physical pollution control, and can also provide control procedure and measures. It is concluded that the average achievement degree is 0.71 for object 1, 0.77 for object 2, and 0.47 for object 3. Students have a relatively good grasp of object 1 and object 2, while a low grasp of object 3. Hence, object 3 should be strengthened in later class teaching.

Abstract One of the most widely recognized tactics for ensuring long-term development at the national level, green economic growth approaches require the development of a nation to be implemented. The present study examines the effects of infrastructure development, oil consumption, and institution on carbon emission in the presence of economic complexity index, urbanization, infrastructure development, oil consumption, and institution quality in 30 provinces of China region from 2000 to 2020. This study employed second-generation panel cointegration methodologies. Similarly, the results of the CUP-FM and CUP-BC tests confirm the relationship between carbon emission and other variables used in this study. The estimation shows that the economic complexity index, urbanization, and oil consumption increase carbon emissions, whereas infrastructure development and institution have a significantly negative impact on carbon emissions. The robustness check findings obtained CUP-BC test validates the results. The study shows the moderate effect of institutions on the economic complexity index, urbanization, and infrastructure development has a negative impact on carbon emissions. In light of outcomes, the current study suggests decent policy implications to attain a green economic recovery.

Abstract Self-concept clarity is considered a crucial indicator of mental health. Although several studies have examined the correlation between self-concept clarity and loneliness, few studies have investigated the underlying mechanism. Based on the evolutionary theory of loneliness and social penetration theory, this cross-sectional study focused on cognitive and behavioral factors in interpersonal communication situations, aiming to explore the relationship between self-concept clarity and loneliness as well as its internal mechanism. An online questionnaire survey comprised 1145 college students in China to assess their self-concept clarity, fear of negative evaluation, self-disclosure, and loneliness. After controlling for demographic variables, the results showed that self-concept clarity was not only able to directly and negatively predict loneliness but also indirectly predict loneliness through the independent mediating effects of fear of negative evaluation and self-disclosure, as well as the chain-mediating effect of fear of negative evaluation to self-disclosure. This study provides important implications for cognitive and behavioral intervention strategies to alleviate people's loneliness and improve their mental health.

Abstract Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a blood system malignancy where sirtuin 5 (SIRT5) is abnormally expressed in AML cell lines. This study aimed to investigate the SIRT5 effects on the viability and apoptosis of AML cell lines. The mRNA and protein expression levels of succinylation regulatory enzyme in clinical samples and AML cell lines were detected by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction and western blotting while cell viability was measured using cell counting kit-8 assay. The apoptosis rate was assessed with flow cytometry. The interaction between SIRT5 and glycine decarboxylase (GLDC) was determined by co-immunoprecipitation and immunofluorescence staining techniques. Results indicated higher mRNA and protein expression levels of SIRT5 in clinical AML samples of AML than in normal subjects. Similarly, cell viability was inhibited, and apoptosis was promoted by downregulating SIRT5, in addition to inhibition of SIRT5-mediated GLDC succinylation. Moreover, rescue experiment results showed that GLDC reversed the effects of SIRT5 knockdown on cell viability and apoptosis. These results, in combination with SIRT5 and GLDC interactions, suggested that SIRT5 was involved in mediating AML development through GLDC succinylation. SIRT5 inhibits GLDC succinylation to promote viability and inhibit apoptosis of AML cells, suggesting that SIRT5 encourages the development of AML.
