Abstract The electronic cigarette (EC) was developed as an alternative to cigarette smoking. In less than a decade, the prevalence of past-month EC usage increased from 1.5 to 27.5 % among US high-school students. In the coming years, Asia-Pacific countries will have the highest sales of electronic nicotine/non-nicotine delivery systems (ENDS/ENNDS) after Western Europe. Based on the World Health Organization and Indian Council of Medical Research recommendations, India approved a complete ban on EC in 2019. Even though it has been three years since the ban, EC is still being sold in India's grey markets, where marketing is not regulated. In this narrative review, we discuss that vaping is not just a harm reduction strategy for tobacco smoking cessation but poses a serious threat to India's existing tobacco control efforts as well as the health of the country's young people.

Abstract A natural stress response induces elevated cortisol levels in biological fluids, such as saliva. While current sensor technologies can detect cortisol in real time, their sensitivity and reliability for human subjects have not been assured. This is due to relatively low concentrations of salivary cortisol, which fluctuate throughout the day and vary significantly between individuals. To address these challenges, we present an improved electrochemical biosensor leveraging graphene's exceptional conductivity and physicochemical properties. A 1-pyrenebutyric acid N-hydroxysuccinimide ester (PBASE-NHS)-modified commercial graphene foam (GF) electrode is presented to realize an ultra-sensitive biosensor for cortisol detection directly in human saliva. The biosensor fabrication process entails the attachment of anti-cortisol monoclonal antibodies (mAb-cort) onto a PBASE-NHS/GF electrode through noncovalent immobilization on the vertically stratified graphene foam electrode surface. This unique immobilization strategy preserves graphene's structural integrity and electrical conductivity while facilitating antibody immobilization. The binding of cortisol to immobilized mAb-cort is read out via differential pulse voltammetry using ferri/ferro redox reactions. The immunosensor demonstrates an exceptional dynamic range of 1.0 fg mL

Abstract Background: Various clinical symptoms and variables have been suggested as potential indicators of outcomes in patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) resulting from ruptured intracranial aneurysms. The detailed discussion of the consequences of intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH), frequently reported in cases of anterior communicating artery (ACoA) aneurysms, is still pending. The study aimed to assess the results of aneurysm surgery performed early versus delayed in patients with SAH, specifically focusing on the occurrence of IVH.
Methods: This study involved patients with ACoA aneurysms who experienced SAH and underwent microsurgical clipping of the aneurysm. A retrospective review was conducted on the patients' medical records. The modified Rankin score was compared between two groups of patients based on the presence or absence of IVH.
Results: Ninety-one participants (52 males and 39 females) were included in the study. The initial computed tomography scan showed that 20 patients (with a mean age of 51 ± 13.7 years) had IVH, while 71 patients (with a mean age of 45.8 ± 11.7 years) did not have any signs of IVH. The proportion of patients with poor functional outcomes after six months was 55% in the presence of IVH, compared to 25.4% in patients without IVH, indicating a significant difference in outcome between the two groups (
Conclusion: Patients with SAH having aneurysms located in the ACoA associated with the intraventricular hemorrhage had a poor functional outcome.

Abstract Aim: The aim of this article is to report a case of multiple radicular cysts in an 8-year-old.
Background: Multiple radicular cysts are an uncommon and rare entity in mixed dentition. Management of these cysts needs careful examination of the present deciduous and erupting permanent dentition. Here, we present a case of multiple radicular cysts in an 8-year-old with no other significant medical history. The treatment approach included removal of the involved deciduous teeth and enucleation of cysts, followed by curettage and the use of Whitehead's varnish.
Case description: The patient reported to the department with a chief complaint of pain in the right lower front tooth region and upper left back tooth region for 2 months. There was no relevant medical or dental history. A routine panoramic radiograph was done, which revealed multiple radiolucency. Clinical presentation, radiograph, and aspiration cytology concluded the diagnosis as multiple radicular cysts. The treatment plan for management was the extraction of the teeth involved, followed by enucleation. Whitehead's varnish dressing was placed in the extraction socket. A regular follow-up was done, showing the absence of radiolucency and eruption of permanent teeth.
Conclusion: Management of radicular cysts in mixed dentition is challenging. Preserving the vitality of erupting permanent teeth is of utmost importance.
Significance: Multiple radicular cysts are an uncommon finding in young children. Proper medical history is important to rule out any syndrome. Correct diagnosis and early management are prognostic factors.

Abstract Objective: The present study aimed to investigate older adults' perspective on their swallowing physiology using a PROM tool. The study further explored the swallowing issues among older adults with and without comorbid conditions.
Method: One hundred twenty-two (122) participants participated in the e-survey. A questionnaire was developed to assess the swallowing deficits among older adults, and Eating Assessment Tool-10 (EAT-10) was administered to assess the PROM.
Results: The results revealed that 40% of older adults with comorbid conditions had EAT-10 scores greater than 3, suggesting swallowing deficits. A significant difference was observed between the two groups with respect to swallowing deficits, as reported on EAT-10.
Conclusion: Based on the results, it can be delineated that swallowing deficits emerge with aging. More of older adults with comorbid conditions reported swallowing deficits in comparison to those without comorbid conditions. Hence, their nutritional and health status gets compromised, leading to poor quality of life.

Abstract We propose a holographic duality for a four dimensional Wess-Zumino-Witten model with target manifold SO(8), coupled to scalar-flat Kähler gravity on an asymptotically flat, four dimensional background known as the Burns metric. The holographic dual is a two dimensional chiral algebra built out of gauged β-γ systems with SO(8) flavor. We test the duality by matching two-point correlators of soft gluon currents with two-point gluon amplitudes, and their leading operator product expansion coefficients with collinear limits of three-point gluon amplitudes.
