Abstract The prevalence of Alzheimer's disease (AD) is increasing as the elderly population, which hurts elderly people's cognition and capacity for self-care. The process of mitophagy involves the selective clearance of ageing and impaired mitochondria, which is required to preserve intracellular homeostasis and energy metabolism. Currently, it has been discovered that mitophagy abnormalities are intimately linked to the beginning and progression of AD. This article discusses the mechanism of mitophagy, abnormal mitophagy, and therapeutic effects in AD. The purpose is to offer fresh perspectives on the causes and remedies of AD.

Abstract Recently, studies have shown that the spatial confinement on waves or photons with beam shaping techniques would modify the propagation speed of optical fields including both group and phase velocities. Particularly, for the monochromatic spatially structured beams, the reduced longitudinal wave vector enables the phase velocity to be superluminal, causing a lagging propagation phase. In this Letter, we propose a novel, to the best of our knowledge, scheme for optical ranging and vibration sensing with the lagging propagation phase of structured beams. We experimentally demonstrate the extraction of displacement from the rotating angles of interfering fringes of superposed Gaussian and higher-order Bessel beams with lagging propagation phase difference. The measuring range is 0.2 m with the limitation of the tested moving stage, but it can be extended to tens of meters in principle. The measuring resolution can reach sub-millimeters, which can be further improved by carefully designing the probe beam and using a finer camera. The results may provide potential applications in position sensing and monitoring.

Abstract Loaded meshing transmission performance optimization has been an increasingly significant target for the design and manufacturing of aerospace spiral bevel gears with low noise and high strength. An innovative data-driven multi-objective optimization (MOO) method is proposed for the loaded meshing transmission performances of aerospace spiral bevel gears. Data-driven tooth surface modeling is first used to obtain a curvature analysis of loaded contact points. An innovative numerical loaded tooth contact analysis (NLTCA) is applied to develop the data-driven relationships of machine tool settings with respect to loaded meshing transmission performance evaluations. Moreover, the MOO function is solved by using an achievement function approach to accurate machine tool settings output, satisfying the prescribed requirements. Finally, numerical examples are given to verify the proposed methodology. The presented approach can serve as a powerful tool to optimize the loaded meshing transmission performances with higher computational accuracy and efficiency than the conventional methods.

Abstract In this work, the potential synergetic effect between deep eutectic solvents and an antibiotic chiral selector (clindamycin phosphate) for enantioseparation was investigated in capillary electrophoresis. We synthesized a series of deep eutectic solvents with choline chloride as hydrogen bond acceptor and three α-hydroxyl acids (l-lactic acid, l-malic acid, and l-tartaric acid) as hydrogen bond donors. Compared to the single clindamycin phosphate separation system, significantly improved separations of model drugs were observed in several synergetic systems. Compared to deep eutectic solvents with a single hydrogen bond donor, deep eutectic solvents with mixed-type hydrogen bond donors were superior. The influences of several key parameters including the type and proportion of organic modifier, clindamycin phosphate concentrations, deep eutectic solvents concentrations, and buffer pH were investigated in detail. The mechanism of the enhanced separations in deep eutectic solvents systems was investigated by means of electroosmotic flow analysis, nuclear magnetic resonance analysis, and molecular modeling. It was the first time that the synergetic systems between deep eutectic solvents and antibiotic chiral selector were established in capillary electrophoresis, and these deep eutectic solvents were demonstrated to have a good synergetic effect with clindamycin phosphate for enantioseparation.

Abstract Copper (Cu)-based perovskites are promising for lead-free perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs). However, it remains a significant challenge to achieve high performance devices due to the nonradiative loss caused by the disordered crystallization and lack of passivation. Crown ethers are known to form host-guest complexes by the interaction between C-O-C groups and certain cations, and 18-crown-6 (18C6) with an appropriate complementary size can interact with Cs

Abstract Iodine chemistry has a broad range of implications for atmospheric processes including new particle formation. Hypoiodous acid (HOI) is a major iodine reservoir species. Its heterogeneous recycling in marine aerosols influences the lifetime of ozone in the troposphere. One important step of such recycling is the reaction between HOI and HY (Y = Cl, Br, I). Abstract Nowadays, the use of biological signals as a criterion for identity recognition has gained increasing attention from various organizations and companies. Therefore, it has become crucial to have a biometric identity recognition method that is fast and accurate. In this paper, we propose a linear electrocardiogram (ECG) data preprocessing algorithm based on Kalman filters for rapid noise data filtering (wavelet transform filtering algorithm). Additionally, we introduce a generative network model called Data Generation Strategy Network (DRCN) based on generative networks. The DRCN is employed to augment training samples for convolutional classification networks, ultimately improving the classification performance of the model. Through the final experiments, our method successfully reduced the average misidentification rate of ECG-based identity recognition to 2.5%, and achieved an average recognition rate of 98.7% for each category, significantly surpassing previous achievements. In the future, this method is expected to be widely applied in the field of ECG-based identity recognition.
