Abstract We sought to evaluate contact rate reduction goals for household and close contacts and to provide preventive recommendations during the coronavirus pandemic. We applied an agent-based model to simulate the transmission dynamics of SARS-CoV-2 within household or close contacts through a social network of 150 nodes. there is no great difference in total infected people within modifications in number of links per node for networks with average number of links per node greater than three. For six nodes, total infected people are 149.85; for five nodes, 148.97; and for four nodes, 141.57. On the other hand, for three nodes, total infected are 82.39, for two nodes, 13.95; and for one node, 2.96. This model indicates a possible pitfall if social distancing measures are not stepwise suspended and close surveillance of cases are not provided, since the relationship between average links per node and number of infected people seems to be s-shaped, and not linear.

Abstract Erythema multiforme (EM), an immune-mediated skin condition, can occur after infection or following the use of medications. In this study, we describe a patient who developed EM after nirmatrelvir/ritonavir administration. An 81-year-old woman presented with fever and dyspnea. Laboratory investigations showed positive coronavirus disease (COVID-19) based on polymerase chain reaction assay, and she received a 5-day regimen of nirmatrelvir/ritonavir. We observed development of EM after this treatment and initiated prednisone (1 mg/kg) therapy, which led to rapid improvement. Our study is the first to report EM in a patient with COVID-19, who received nirmatrelvir/ritonavir and showed a favorable response.

Abstract This study aimed to test the reproducibility of the 3-min all-out effort applied using shuttle running and compare its values to aerobic parameters. On the first day, 14 futsal players underwent an exhaustive test to determine the maximal incremental speed (MIS) and anaerobic threshold (AnT). On the second day, the participants performed the 3-min all-out effort (n=14), which was repeated after 48 h (third day) to test its reproducibility (n=11). Peak oxygen consumption (V̇ O

Title translation Sistema de Vigilância Alimentar e Nutricional: tendência temporal da cobertura e estado nutricional de adultos registrados, 2008-2019.
Abstract Objective: To analyze the temporal trend of Food and Nutrition Surveillance System (SISVAN) coverage and nutritional status of adults undergoing follow-up in the Brazilian Primary Health Care, 2008-2019.
Methods: This was an ecological time series study using data on Brazilian macro-regions. The annual percent change in the classification of nutritional status and total coverage was estimated using the Prais-Winsten regression model.
Results: A total of 115,034,534 records were identified in the period. Coverage increased from 5.0% in 2008 to 10.6% in 2019, with an annual change of 8.4%, 95% confidence interval (95%CI 6.7;10.0). Obesity and overweight showed a rising trend between 2008 and 2019, with an annual change of 6.4% (95%CI 5.3;7.3) and (1.8%; 95%CI 1.2;2.5) respectively, while underweight (-7.0%; 95%CI -8.0;-6.1) and eutrophy (-3.8%; 95%CI -4.1;-3.4) decreased in the period.
Conclusion: There was an improvement in SISVAN coverage, with an increase in overweight and obesity among the population studied.

Abstract The incidence of ovarian cancer during pregnancy is low. Most adnexal tumors removed during pregnancy are benign, with ovarian carcinomas found in approximately 1: 10,000-1: 50,000 pregnancies. Literature on this disease is scarce and consists mostly of retrospective studies and case reports. We report the case of a pregnant patient who presented with a primary intestinal-type mucinous adenocarcinoma of the ovary and underwent unilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, with no additional surgical or chemotherapy treatment after the histological diagnosis, despite an infiltrative stromal invasion pattern. To the best of our knowledge, no such case has been previously reported. Conservative treatment in this case of early ovarian carcinoma is possible during pregnancy and should be performed in the Department of Gynecological Oncology and Obstetrics of a tertiary referral hospital. Given the possibility of disease recurrence, such patients require strict clinical oncological surveillance, specialized prenatal care, and assistance from a multidisciplinary team to improve the maternal and perinatal outcomes.

Abstract Background: Neuroendocrine tumors are rare neoplasms of uncertain biological behavior. The liver is one of the most common sites of metastases, occurring in 50% of patients with metastatic disease.
Aims: To analyze a clinical series in liver transplant of patients with neuroendocrine tumors metastases.
Methods: A retrospective descriptive study, based on the review of medical records of patients undergoing liver transplants due to neuroendocrine tumor metastases in a single center in northeast Brazil, over a period of 20 years (January 2001 to December 2021).
Results: During the analyzed period, 2,000 liver transplants were performed, of which 11 were indicated for liver metastases caused by neuroendocrine tumors. The mean age at diagnosis was 45.09±14.36 years (26-66 years) and 72.7% of cases were females. The most common primary tumor site was in the gastrointestinal tract in 64% of cases. Even after detailed investigation, three patients had no primary tumor site identified (27%). Overall survival after transplantation at one month was 90%, at one year was 70%, and five year, 45.4%. Disease-free survival rate was 72.7% at one year and 36.3% at five years.
Conclusions: Liver transplantation is a treatment modality with good overall survival and disease-free survival results in selected patients with unresectable liver metastases from neuroendocrine tumors. However, a rigorous selection of patients is necessary to obtain better results and the ideal time for transplant indication is still a controversial topic in the literature.
