Abstract Context.—: Acquiring objective, timely, and comprehensive feedback on resident diagnostic performance is notoriously difficult.
Objective.—: To implement a custom software application (Resident Case Tracker) to improve evaluative diagnostic analysis for residency programs.
Design.—: Residents and faculty use a graphical user interface with restricted access to their own cases and evaluations. For each sign-out, residents enter their diagnoses and comments for each case. Faculty are provided a sign-out queue to review the resident diagnosis and select their level of agreement alongside optional comments. After sign-out, residents can review the agreement level and comments for each case, overall sign-out statistics, and organ-specific performance, and they have the option of opening and reviewing groups of cases by agreement status. A sign-out evaluation is automatically generated and stored alongside additional reports. Administrative access allows privileged users to readily review data analytics at both an individual and residency-wide global level.
Results.—: A marked increase in completed evaluations and feedback was noted in the initial 36 months of implementation. During a 3-year academic period, faculty completed individual feedback on 33 685 cases and 1073 overall sign-out evaluations.
Conclusions.—: Resident Case Tracker is an invaluable tool for our residency program and has provided unparalleled feedback and data analytics. Throughout residency, trainees have access to each completed sign-out, with the ability to learn from discrepant cases while also monitoring improvements in diagnostic acumen over time. Faculty are able to assess resident milestones much more effectively while more readily identifying residents who would benefit from targeted study.

Abstract The connections between the five facets of mindfulness, well-being, and mental health across the lifespan have traditionally been investigated using variable-centered approaches. Less research has investigated these relationships from a person-centered, profile-based approach. In this work, we aimed to identify the profiles of mindfulness in a Canadian lifespan sample (14 to 90 years of age) and investigate how these profiles compared on age, well-being, and mental health. An age- and gender-balanced sample of 1,600 participants completed a questionnaire that measured the five facets of mindfulness; life satisfaction; existential well-being; and anxiety, depression, and stress symptoms. A latent profile analysis was conducted. Five profiles based on the five-facet model of mindfulness were identified:

Abstract Positron emission tomography (PET) imaging enables quantitative assessment of tissue physiology. Dynamic pharmacokinetic analysis of PET images requires accurate estimation of the radiotracer plasma input function to derive meaningful parameter estimates, and small discrepancies in parameter estimation can mimic subtle physiologic tissue variation. This study evaluates the impact of input function interpolation method on the accuracy of Patlak kinetic parameter estimation through simulations modeling the pharmacokinetic properties of [

Abstract Introduction: Intraosseous ganglion cysts are an uncommon variant found in the subchondral bone. We report here the development of an intraosseous ganglion cyst of the proximal tibia in the setting of a prior left total knee arthroplasty (TKA) with an all-polyethylene tibial component.
Case report: The cyst was diagnosed on routine follow-up radiographs approximately 4 years status post-TKA. Although initially asymptomatic, 1 year later the patient presented with progressive knee pain and ambulation limitations, so revision TKA was indicated. Computed tomography confirmed an osteolytic lesion suggestive of a penetrating ganglion. Given the absence of malrotation or malalignment of the well-fixed femoral component, the decision was made to proceed with tibial revision to stemmed component cemented through a porous tantalum cone. Postoperatively, the patient had complete resolution of pain and instability with 0-120° of stable range of motion, which has persisted to the latest follow-up at over 6 months post-operative, with radiographic resolution of the cyst.
Conclusion: This case demonstrates a ganglion cyst surrounding total knee implants as a possible source of persistent pain following TKA. To our knowledge, this is the first report of such a case. This case demonstrates that refractory painful knee implants secondary to tibial ganglion cysts can be treated successfully with revision arthroplasty.
