Abstract This book describes the emergence and recent advances in the design and development of rhodium complexes as therapeutic agents. Different classes of anticancer rhodium complexes with particular emphasis on ligands containing nitrogen-oxygen donor atoms are presented. Anticancer rhodium complexes of N-heterocyclic carbenes are described, while half-sandwich, heterobimetallic, and multinuclear rhodium complexes are discussed. Therapeutic applications of rhodium complexes beyond cancer such as a...

Abstract Rheumatic disease imposes a substantial emotional burden on individuals, leading to chronic pain, discomfort, anxiety, and depression. Coping with unpredictability and physical limitations can create a detrimental feedback loop, exacerbating mental and physical symptoms. Poor mental health can hinder treatment adherence and worsen disease progression. Addressing the emotional impact of rheumatic disease is crucial for comprehensive management. Healthcare providers play a critical role in recognizing psychosocial concerns through attentive listening and standardized screenings. Open communication and a collaborative approach lead to more effective care. Support systems involving family, friends, and support groups provide emotional help and reduce isolation. Coping strategies and self-management techniques empower patients to navigate their conditions. The stigma associated with mental health is a challenge that requires education, awareness, and patient advocacy. A multidisciplinary approach integrating mental health services is pivotal for addressing the psychosocial aspects of rheumatic disease, offering a holistic perspective. Ongoing research explores the interplay between mental health and physical symptoms, aiming for innovative therapies and improved patient care. Collaborative care models and patient advocacy are essential to reducing barriers and improving patient outcomes. The future of rheumatic disease management lies in a patient-centered, multidisciplinary approach that addresses both physical and mental aspects.

Abstract Objective: To assess the impact of transformational leadership intervention among head nurses on staff nurses in improving job performance.
Method: The quasi-experimental study was conducted from December 2020 to August 2021 at the public-sector Services Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan, and comprised head nurses and staff nurses enrolled through multistage cluster random sampling technique. Sixteen weeks of transformational leadership interventions were organised in morning and evening shifts. Pre- and post-intervention assessments were done. Data was analysed using SPSS 25.
Results: Of the 576 subjects, 480(83.3%) were staff nurses and 96(16.6%) were head nurses. Transformational leadership intervention caused a significant improvement in staff nurses' job performance owing to improvement in the behaviour of the head nurses behaviour (p<0.05).
Conclusions: The study showed that staff nurses' performance significantly improved after transformational.

Abstract Equity crowdfunding provides entrepreneurs and founders the opportunity to raise funds from a large number of potential investors, using quality signals to influence their investment decisions. Drawing from the lens of signaling theory and the elaboration likelihood model, this study explores the role of successive equity crowdfunding rounds as a quality signal in shaping investors' preferences in crowdfunded firms and its influence on their investment decisions. Our findings reveal that successive equity crowdfunding rounds serve as quality signals, modeling investors' preferences and thereby resulting in a high magnitude of success factors. The successive round is a strong quality signal that has a positive and significant impact on investors' investment decisions in subsequent equity crowdfunding rounds. The increasing preferences of investors due to the successive round augments the magnitude of success factors and helps entrepreneurs in successfully achieving large funding targets, high overfunding, and attracting a large number of investors in subsequent equity crowdfunding campaigns, even with a low level of equity offering.

Abstract Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) and cardiac hypertrophy (CH) are among the top ten leading cause of deaths, worldwide. T2DM and cardiac hypertrophy are the chronic diseases, have close association and direct life-threatening complications like stroke, myocardial infarction, retinopathy, nephropathy, and limb amputation. In addition to other medical approaches, miRNAs-based strategy is considered most efficient for early detection of chronic diseases and also has potential for the treatment of T2DM and cardiac hypertrophy like it is being used for cancer in clinical trials. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are single stranded (non-coding) of 20 to 22 nucleotides sequences which bind to their target mRNA upon the complimentary basis, to silence the protein expression at post transcriptional level. Bioinformatic databases are used like online mendelian inheritance in man (OMIM), gene testing registry (GTR), TargetScan and ShinyGO for validation of disease linked genes and sorting the common miRNAs in both diseases, such as miR-30-5p/101-3p.2/190-5p/506-3p/9-5p/128-3p/137/96-5p/7-5p/107/101-3p.1/98-5p/124-3p.2/124-3p.116-5p/15-5p/497-5p/ 424-5p/195-5p/1271-5p, let-7-5p. Aforementioned databases were also used for the miRNAs which have more than one disease linked genes target in each pathological condition. Such miRNAs for cardiac hypertrophy are: miR-19-3p/183-5p.2/153-3p/372-3p/302-3p/520-3p/373-3p/129-5p/144-3p/139-5p and for T2DM are: miR-27-3p/206/1-3p/181-5p. This finding would be helpful for the appropriate selection of miRNAs and to design applicable research project in future. It will require more validation by using the miRNAs expression analysis, mimic, and anti-miRNA approach to check their potential against cardiac hypertrophy and T2DM.
