Abstract Theoretical analysis indicated that partially deuterated ammonium dihydrogen phosphate (DADP) crystal with a deuterium content of 23% could realize spectral noncritical phase-matching (S-NCPM) for type-I frequency doubling of an Nd:glass laser. To explore the temperature dependence of the phase matching (PM) angle of the second harmonic generation (SHG) process and the output SHG bandwidth of DADP crystal at 1.053 μm, we used the point-seed rapid-growth method to grow targeted DADP crystal with 23% deuterium content. Experimental results indicated that the grown DADP crystal had high quality and large dimensions (7 × 6 × 6 cm

Abstract Drug-induced diseases are the most important component of iatrogenic disease. It is the duty of doctors to provide a reasonable and safe dose of medication. Gunqile-7 is a Mongolian medicine with analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. As a foreign substance in the body, even with reasonable medication, it may produce varying degrees of adverse reactions or toxic side effects. Since the cost of collecting Gunqile-7 for pharmacological animal trials is high and the data sample is small, this paper employs transfer learning and data augmentation methods to study the toxicity of Gunqile-7. More specifically, to reduce the necessary number of training samples, the data augmentation approach is employed to extend the data set. Then, the transfer learning method and one-dimensional convolutional neural network are utilized to train the network. In addition, we use the support vector machine-recursive feature elimination method for feature selection to reduce features that have adverse effects on model predictions. Furthermore, due to the important role of the pre-trained model of transfer learning, we select a quantitative toxicity prediction model as the pre-trained model, which is consistent with the purpose of this paper. Lastly, the experimental results demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method. Our method can improve accuracy by up to 9 percentage points compared to the method without transfer learning on a small sample set.

Abstract The polymer/substrate interface plays a significant role in the dynamics of nanoconfined polymers because of its suppression on polymer mobility and its long-range propagation feature, while the molecular origin of the long-range substrate effect in unentangled polymer material is still ambiguous. Herein, we investigated the propagation distances of the substrate effect (

Abstract In the context of multicultural information, to explore and analyze the use effect of voice interactive educational robot in the classroom of adolescent students, and the physical and mental impact of movie characters on adolescent students, and to lay the foundation for studying the positive development of adolescents, under the guidance of positive psychology theory, the relationship between positive psychology and adolescent mental health is analyzed, the application of adolescent educational robot is discussed, and the relationship between adolescent educational robot combined with movies characters and positive development of adolescent is analyzed. The questionnaire is used to collect data, including the questionnaire on the influence of movie characters on the positive development of adolescents, the questionnaire of pre- and postpopularization of artificial intelligence in primary and secondary schools, and the satisfaction questionnaire of voice interactive educational robot. The reliability and validity of the questionnaire are analyzed. The results show that students who watch more than 20 movies are 20% in grade one and that is only 10% in grade three. 79% of the students think that the movie characters have an impact on themselves. The distribution of the number of the grade two students exposed to the movie is relatively uniform, 40% of them watch 10-20 movies, and 82% of them think that the movie characters have an impact on themselves; the Cronbach coefficient of classroom satisfaction questionnaire is 0.929 > 0.9, the average value of the correlation of total correction items of the corresponding item is 0.612 > 0.5, the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin measurement value is 0.812 > 0.6, and the Sig value is 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the reliability and validity of the questionnaire are very high and 92.3% of the students are very satisfied with the classroom. This shows that voice interactive educational robot combined with movie characters can promote the positive development of adolescents.

Abstract Clustered and multivariate failure time data are commonly encountered in biomedical studies and a marginal regression approach is often employed to identify the potential risk factors of a failure. We consider a semiparametric marginal Cox proportional hazards model for right-censored survival data with potential correlation. We propose to use a quadratic inference function method based on the generalized method of moments to obtain the optimal hazard ratio estimators. The inverse of the working correlation matrix is represented by the linear combination of basis matrices in the context of the estimating equation. We investigate the asymptotic properties of the regression estimators from the proposed method. The optimality of the hazard ratio estimators is discussed. Our simulation study shows that the estimator from the quadratic inference approach is more efficient than those from existing estimating equation methods whether the working correlation structure is correctly specified or not. Finally, we apply the model and the proposed estimation method to analyze a study of tooth loss and have uncovered new insights that were previously inaccessible using existing methods.

Abstract Water transport through membrane is so intricate that there are still some debates. AQPs are entirely accepted to allow water transmembrane movement depending on osmotic gradient. Cotransporters and uniporters, however, are also concerned in water homeostasis. UT-B has a single-channel water permeability that is similar to AQP1. CFTR was initially thought as a water channel but now not believed to transport water directly. By cotransporters, such as KCC4, NKCC1, SGLT1, GAT1, EAAT1, and MCT1, water is transported by water osmosis coupling with substrates, which explains how water is transported across the isolated small intestine. This chapter provides information about water transport mediated by other membrane proteins except AQPs.
