Abstract Introduction: Acute intestinal intussusception (AII) in adults, unlike in children, is a rare manifestation that is frequently secondary to malignant or benign tumors and intestinal intussusception on a lipoma is more exceptional.
Case presentation: We present a rare case of AII caused by a lipoma in a previously healthy 44-year-old man. He experienced severe right lower quadrant pain and constipation. An abdominal CT scan revealed ileocecal intussusception, displaying the classic "sandwich" and "cocarde" images. Additionally, a Caecal lipoma was identified. The patient underwent midline laparotomy, revealing significant small bowel distention upstream of the ileocolic intussusception. Subsequently, a right hemicolectomy with ileocolostomy was performed. Pathological examination confirmed colonic ischemic necrosis attributed to AII originating from a submucosal caecal lipoma.
Clinical discussion: AII is a rare cause of abdominal pain and accounts for 1 to 5 % of adult intestinal obstructions. In adults, an organic cause is found in 70 to 90 % of cases, often secondary to an endoluminal lesion of malignant nature. Pure colonic intussusception on a lipoma is exceptional. CT scan, can show characteristic images and confirms the fatty nature of the lipoma. Surgical intervention is necessary as treatment for intussusception and anatomopathological examination is required for diagnostic confirmation.
Conclusion: Intestinal intussusception caused by an intestinal lipoma is rare. Imaging, mainly ultrasound and CT scan, plays a crucial role in providing a positive and etiological diagnosis of the condition by showing characteristic images. Treatment is always surgical, and there is no place for reduction under radiological control.

Abstract Introduction: Ovarian strumal carcinoid is a rare type of germ cell tumor. It usually affects perimenopausal and postmenopausal women. Very few cases of stromal carcinoid have been reported in the literature in women of childbearing age, particularly during pregnancy. The clinical presentation of the tumor, and in particular its non-specific clinical and radiological appearance and rarity, explain the difficulties in diagnosis and management.
Presentation of case: Herein, we describe a rare case of a 36-year-old patient who was followed-up in our outpatient clinic for organic cyst of the ovary. The ultrasound revealed a multilocular regular cystic mass with a modestly thickened wall and fine septations. The MRI indicated a right ovarian cyst with solid tissue. The levels of tumor markers were normal. The patient was lost to follow-up and did not return until six months later. She was admitted in our Department with acute ovarian torsion and underwent emergency surgery at 17 weeks' gestation. A laparoscopic cystectomy of the right ovary was provisionally performed. Pathology revealed an ovarian strumal carcinoid tumor.
Discussion: Patients with ovarian stromal carcinoid have an excellent prognosis. Ovarian strumal carcinoid 's primary therapy method is operation. The majority of original ovarian carcinoid tumors progress slowly, and practically all thyroid carcinoid tumors are clinical stage I with a positive prognosis.
Conclusion: In the absence of standardized treatment, the association of carcinoid strumal tumor with pregnancy, underlines the need for early diagnosis and appropriate multidisciplinary management, taking into account both the maternal and fetal prognosis.

Abstract Having a kidney disease is a major risk factor of renal injury during blunt traumas. We present a case of abdominal blunt trauma due to motor-vehicle accident in a 48 year old male patient. Abdominal computed tomography scan showed a high-volume retroperitoneal hematoma with rupture in the isthmus of the horseshoe kidney with active contrast-enhanced extravasation. He underwent a partial nephrectomy of the left lower pole.

Abstract Emphysematous prostatitis is characterized by their rarity and its severity. It often occurs in older diabetics. This study reports a new case of an isolated emphysematous prostatitis in a 66-year-old patient which presented with mental confusion and severe sepsis. Computed tomography revealed intra parenchymal air bubbles of the prostate which evolved well after early resuscitation and rapid and effective antibiotic therapy. Emphysematous prostatitis is an uncommon but potentially serious disorder that has the potential for causing problems if not diagnosed at the early stage and treated promptly.

Abstract Introduction: Ovarian fibrosarcoma is a rare cancer. In the literature, there have been very few occurrences of fibrosarcoma with ascites. The presence of ascites complicates the diagnosis further, and is associated with a poor prognosis and has been linked to chemoresistance and metastasis. We present this case of an ovarian fibrosarcoma with ascites to provide a comprehensive overview of the clinical presentation, diagnostic evaluation and management of this pathology, which remains a challenge given the rarity of this entity.
Presentation of case: We report the case of a 60-year-old woman who was referred to our unit, because of abdominal bloating, sporadic pelvic pain and abdominal distension. Ultrasound showed a heterogeneous mass over the right adnexa with ascites. Serum tumour markers were within normal limits. During surgery, a total abdominal hysterectomy plus bilateral adnexectomy was performed. The final histopathological findings showed a well-differentiated fibrosarcoma. The patient was followed up regularly and no recurrence was seen 2 years after surgery.
Discussion: Ovarian fibrosarcomas are uncommon cancers with no known risk factors. Diagnosis can be difficult, especially in the presence of ascites, and other diagnostic options should be considered. Pathological and immunohistochemistry investigations are required for a clear diagnosis. Early metastases and resistance to adjuvant chemotherapy characterize the prognosis of ovarian fibrosarcoma with ascites.
Conclusions: Ovarian fibrosarcoma with ascites is a rare and challenging ovarian disease, highlighting the need for postoperative pathology to make a clear diagnosis, complete cytoreductive surgery and individual consideration of adjuvant radiochemotherapy should be included in the management.

Abstract Background: A pyosalpinx is the acute inflammation of the fallopian tube, which fills up and swells with pus. It commonly results from inadequate or delayed treatment of pelvic inflammatory disease.
Case presentation: We report the case of a 54-year-old Africain female patient, who presented with sustained high-grade fever, right flank pain, and severe acute storage low-urinary-tract symptoms. Computed tomography showed signs of acute obstructive pyelonephritis with a right tubular juxtauterine mass with complex internal fluid and thick enhancing walls exerting a mass effect on the right ureter. A drainage of the right excretory cavities by a JJ stent was performed. An ultrasound-guided aspiration of the collection was also performed.
Conclusion: A pyosalpinx can then exert a mass effect on the excretory cavities, thus causing an acute obstructive pyelonephritis. A double drainage coupled with an effective antibiotic therapy is then necessary.
