Abstract The influence of the preorganized structure and chemical composition of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) on the morphology, surface properties, and catalytic activity of the MOFs-derived metal oxides is yet to be revealed. In this work, two types of Co-MOFs with different coordination configurations are synthesized for the preparation of the structure-engineered ruthenium (Ru)-doped cobalt oxides. The effect of the preorganized coordination structure of the MOFs on the morphology and surface properties is investigated. Interestingly, the oxalate-based MOFs derived Ru-doped cobalt oxide (OX-Co

Abstract Background: Due to the broad application of next-generation sequencing, the molecular diagnosis of genetic disorders in pediatric neurology is no longer an unachievable goal. However, treatments for neurological genetic disorders in children remain primarily symptomatic. On the other hand, with the continuous evolution of therapeutic viral vectors, gene therapy is becoming a clinical reality. From this perspective, we wrote this review to illustrate the current state regarding viral-mediated gene therapy in childhood neurological disorders.
Data sources: We searched databases, including PubMed and Google Scholar, using the keywords "adenovirus vector," "lentivirus vector," and "AAV" for gene therapy, and "immunoreaction induced by gene therapy vectors," "administration routes of gene therapy vectors," and "gene therapy" with "NCL," "SMA," "DMD," "congenital myopathy," "MPS" "leukodystrophy," or "pediatric metabolic disorders". We also screened the database of ClinicalTrials.gov using the keywords "gene therapy for children" and then filtered the results with the ones aimed at neurological disorders. The time range of the search procedure was from the inception of the databases to the present.
Results: We presented the characteristics of commonly used viral vectors for gene therapy for pediatric neurological disorders and summarized their merits and drawbacks, the administration routes of each vector, the research progress, and the clinical application status of viral-mediated gene therapy on pediatric neurological disorders.
Conclusions: Viral-mediated gene therapy is on the brink of broad clinical application. Viral-mediated gene therapy will dramatically change the treatment pattern of childhood neurological disorders, and many children with incurable diseases will meet the dawn of a cure. Nevertheless, the vectors must be optimized for better safety and efficacy.

Abstract Glycerol oxidation reaction can be substituted for oxygen evolution reaction for more efficient hydrogen production due to its lower thermodynamic potential. Herein, a series of NiCo hydroxide nanosheets containing abundant Ni³⁺ species and surface ligands were synthesized by in-situ structural transformation of bimetallic organic frameworks in alkaline media for efficient glycerol oxidation reaction. It is found that the incorporation of Co ions increases the content of the Ni³⁺ species, and that the Ni/Co ratio of 1.0 lead to the optimal catalytic performance. The oxalate-modified nickel–cobalt hydroxide with the optimized Ni/Co ratio can deliver a current density of 10 mA cm⁻² at 1.26 V vs. RHE (reversible hydrogen electrode), and reaches its maximum selectivity and Faradaic efficiency at 1.30 V vs. RHE. A high selectivity of 82.9% and a Faradaic efficiency of 91.0% are achieved. The high catalytic activity can be mainly attributed to the abundant Ni³⁺ species and surface carboxyl groups.

Abstract Multi-shelled hollow metal-organic frameworks (MH-MOFs) are highly promising as electrode materials due to their impressive surface area and efficient mass transfer capabilities. However, the fabrication of MH-MOFs has remained a formidable challenge. In this study, two types of double-shelled open hollow Prussian blue analogues, one with divalent iron (DHPBA-Fe(II)) and the other with trivalent iron (DHPBA-Fe(III)), through an innovative inner-outer growth strategy are successfully developed. The growth mechanism is found to involve lattice matching growth and ligand exchange processes. Subsequently, DHPBA-Fe(II) and DHPBA-Fe(III) are employed as cathodes in aqueous Zn-ion batteries. Significantly, DHPBA-Fe(II) demonstrated exceptional performance, exhibiting a capacity of 92.5 mAh g

Abstract Background: Catheter ablation for parahisian ventricular arrhythmias (PHVA) is technically challenging and associated with increased risks of atrioventricular block (AVB). We developed a systemic mapping approach to improve the efficacy and safety of PHVA ablation.
Methods: Forty-three patients (29 males; average age 65.8 ± 10.5 years) with PHVAs were enrolled. A systemic mapping approach comprising differential electrocardiogram, sequential mapping, and ablation beneath/above the septal leaflet of the tricuspid valve (SLTV) and at the neighboring/contralateral regions (the aortic root and sub-aortic valve region) was applied for PHVA. The effectiveness and safety of this approach was evaluated at 1 year's follow-up.
Results: Sequential ablation beneath the SLTV (B-SLTV) succeeded in 24 (66.7 %) of 36 with right PHVA and ablation above the SLTV succeeded in 6 of the remaining 12 with failed B-SLTV ablation. Target-His bundle (HB) distance > 4.5 mm significantly predicted successful right PHVA ablation (OR 1.703; 95% CI 1.084-2.676,
Conclusions: The systemic mapping approach was effective and safe for treating PHVA. The target-HB distance was a significant predictor for right PHVA ablation.

Abstract Haploinsufficiency of Runt-related transcription factor-2 (RUNX2) is responsible for cleidocranial dysplasia (CCD), a rare hereditary disease with a range of defects, including delayed closure of the cranial sutures and short stature. Symptom-based treatments, such as a combined surgical-orthodontic approach, are commonly used to treat CCD patients. However, there have been few reports of treatments based on Runx2-specific regulation targeting dwarfism symptoms. Previously, we found that the miR338 cluster, a potential diagnostic and therapeutic target for postmenopausal osteoporosis, could directly target Runx2 during osteoblast differentiation in vitro. Here, we generated miR338
