Abstract The species with a strongly pubescent body with the genus name Capillogryllus by Xie, Zheng, and Liang in 2003 are reviewed. Capillogryllus has presently two species, Capillogryllus exilipalpis Xie & Zheng, 2003 (type specimen is a female), and Capillogryllus dolabripalpis Xie & Zheng, 2003 (type species), both of which are only known from China at this time. In Gyirong County, Tibet, we discovered a new species of this genus that is distinct from the two species mentioned above. Here, three species of Capillogryllus are described and illustrated.

Abstract The genus Capillogryllus includes three species, Capillogryllus dolabripalpis Xie & Zheng, 2003, Capillogryllus exilipalpis Xie & Zheng, 2003, Capillogryllus spinae Wu & Ma, 2023. Recently, we found a new species of this genus in Yadong County, Xizang Autonomous Region, and described it here. In addition, we found that the ovipositor varies greatly within this taxon, so we compare and characterize their ovipositor and discuss the feasibility of using the ovipositor alone to identify them. We also provide two keys based on the genitalia of males and females.

Abstract Goniogryllus bistriatus Wu & Wang, 1992 was described at the end of the last century, based on the female holotype, and there have been no further studies or reports related to this species since then. Callogryllus yunnanus Wu & Zheng, 1992 also has a similar situation. Although the holotype is a male, its external genitalia have been lost. These issues pose obstacles to subsequent taxonomic research. Recently, we have successively discovered these two species in Huize County, Yunnan Province, China. To address the aforementioned taxonomic problems, this article describes the male specimens of the G. bistriatus and redescribes the female; meanwhile, since the original description of C. yunnanus lacked male genital characteristics, and we have also conducted a complete redescription of this species based on the new specimen.

Abstract As a typical traditional Chinese medicine, Bu-Yin-Qian-Zheng Formula (BYQZF) has been shown to have neuroprotective effects in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD), particularly by ameliorating mitochondrial dysfunction and regulating expression of the parkin protein. However, the underlying mechanisms by which BYQZF affects mitochondrial function through parkin are unclear. Accordingly, in this study, we evaluated the mechanisms by which BYQZF ameliorates mitochondrial dysfunction through parkin in PD. We constructed a parkin-knockdown cell model and performed fluorescence microscopy to observe transfected SH-SY5Y cells. Quantitative real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and western blotting were conducted to detect the mRNA and protein expression levels of parkin. Additionally, we evaluated the cell survival rates, ATP levels, mitochondrial membrane potential (ΔΨm), mitochondrial morphology, parkin protein expression, PINK1 protein expression, and mitochondrial fusion and fission protein expression after treatment with MPP

Abstract: Fu-Zheng-Qu-Xie (FZQX) decoction is a traditional Chinese herbal prescription for the treatment ...

Abstract Fu-Zheng-Qu-Xie (FZQX) decoction is a traditional Chinese herbal prescription for the treatment of lung cancer and exerts proapoptotic and immunomodulatory effects. It has been clinically suggested to be effective in improving the survival of postoperative early-stage lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), but the mechanism remains unclear. In this study, we used network pharmacology coupled with metabolomics approaches to explore the pharmacological action and effective mechanism of FZQX against the recurrence and metastasis of postoperative early-stage LUAD. Network pharmacology analysis showed that FZQX could prevent the recurrence and metastasis of postoperative early-stage LUAD by regulating a series of targets involving vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2, estrogen receptor 1, sarcoma gene, epidermal growth factor receptor, and protein kinase B and by influencing the Ras, PI3K-Akt, and mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathways. In liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis, 11 differentially expressed metabolites, including PA(12:0/18:4(6Z,9Z,12Z,15Z)), PC(16:0/0:0)[U], LysoPC(18:1(11Z)), and LysoPC(18:0), were discovered in the FZQX-treated group compared to those in the model group before treatment or normal group. They were enriched in cancer metabolism-related signaling pathways such as central carbon metabolism in cancer, choline metabolism, and glycerol phospholipid metabolism. Collectively, our results suggest that the multicomponent and multitarget interaction network of FZQX inhibits the recurrence and metastasis of postoperative early-stage LUAD by activating the receptor signal transduction pathway to inhibit proliferation, induce cell apoptosis, inhibit aerobic glycolysis, and reprogram tumor lipid metabolism.

Abstract Gorochovius furvus sp. n. is the second known species of the genus Gorochovius Xie, Zheng Li, 2004. The new one is very similar to G. trinervus. But it is distributed farther south than the that species. They can be identified by morphological and acoustical characters. Here, the new species was described, and all species are illustrated and their calling songs analyzed.
