Abstract Anthocyanins, one of the important water-soluble pigments, are sensitive to environmental factors, which limits the application of anthocyanins in food field. In order to overcome this limitation, double Pickering emulsions stabilized by β-cyclodextrin were developed. The optimum preparation conditions of the emulsions were determined firstly and the performance and structure of emulsions were investigated. Results showed that the optimum preparation conditions of emulsions were the ratio of (W

Abstract Rare earth elements (REE) are emerging pollutants of concern, impacted by intensive fertilizer use and discharge of human and animal waste into agricultural watersheds. However, the natural values and potential anthropogenic enrichment of REE in aqueous systems of the agricultural basins remain poorly understood. This study investigated the spatial variation of dissolved REE in a predominantly agricultural river (Mun River) in northeast Thailand. Dissolved ΣREE concentrations in the Mun River ranged from 5.08 to 272.91 ng/L, with the highest concentrations observed in the middle reaches where agricultural fertilizers and wastewater increased dissolved REE concentrations. The PAAS-normalized patterns and dissolved Eu anomaly jointly reveal that the dissolved ΣREE mainly originated from local rocks and agricultural fertilizers. The dissolved REE in the Mun River is characteristic of a depleted light REE relative to heavy REE, slightly negative Ce anomaly, positive Eu anomaly, and positive Gd anomaly in a punctate distribution. The correlation analysis of (La/Yb)

Abstract Background: Atezolizumab plus bevacizumab was approved in 2020 as a first-line treatment for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The purpose of this study was to assess the curative effect and tolerability of the combination treatment in advanced HCC.
Methods: Web of Science, PubMed and Embase were retrieved for qualified literatures on the treatment of advanced HCC with atezolizumab plus bevacizumab until September 1, 2022. The outcomes included pooled overall response (OR), complete response (CR), partial response (PR), median overall survival (mOS), median progression-free survival (mPFS), and adverse events (AEs).
Results: Twenty-three studies, comprising 3168 patients, were enrolled. The pooled OR, CR, and PR rates of the long-term (more than six weeks) therapy response based on Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) were 26%, 2%, and 23%, respectively. The pooled OR, CR, and PR rates of the short-term (six weeks) therapeutic response evaluated with RECIST were 13%, 0%, and 15%, respectively. The pooled mOS and mPFS were 14.7 months and 6.66 months, respectively. During the treatment, 83% and 30% of patients experienced any grade AEs and grade 3 and above AEs, respectively.
Conclusions: Atezolizumab in combination with bevacizumab showed good efficacy and tolerability in the treatment of advanced HCC. Compared with short-term, non-first-line, and low-dose therapy, atezolizumab plus bevacizumab in long-term, first-line, and standard-dose treatment for advanced HCC showed a better tumor response rate.

Abstract Wastewater treatment is currently focused on the development of simple, safe, cost-effective technologies for the complete destruction of persistent organic pollutants. A novel reagent-free electro-Fenton process by integrated nano-bubble aeration and sacrificial iron anode is proposed, which improves mass transferability of large content dissolved oxygen (10.55mgL−1) in the electrolyte and then quickly transported oxygen to the electrode surface. The synergistic effect of nanobubble aeration and sacrificial iron anodes can product a highly efficient hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) (310 mgL−1) and enhanced electrochemically driven reduction of Fe2+ at pH 3.5 and current density 55 mAcm−2. The degradation of phenol (100 mgL−1) with hydroxyl radicals (⋅OH) generated in situ is described by a pseudo first-order kinetics mode and was fast (0.036 min−1), which obtained a remarkable decolorization of over 58.7 % in 60 min. With nanobubble aeration and sacrificial iron anode, the catalytic decomposition of H2O2 to ⋅OH by Fe2+ was more powerful, achieving a cost-effective and green design without reagents.

Abstract Designing non-precious metal electrocatalysts for accelerated electron transfer and richer active site exposure is necessary and challenging to achieve the versatility of electrocatalysts. In this research, a self-grown nanosheet array electrocatalyst on nickel foam with high structural stability is first rationally designed through suitable anionic doping. The combined experimental and theoretical calculations reveal that the F-P-Co
