    Abstract Currently, cancer has become one of the major public health problems worldwide. Apoptosis is an important anti-cancer defense mechanism, which is used in the development of targeted drugs. Because cancer cells have endogenous resistance to apoptosis,the clinical efficacy of related drugs is not ideal. Therefore, non-apoptotic regulatory cell death may bring new therapeutic strategies for cancer treatment. Cuproptosis is a novel form of regulatory cell death which is copper-dependent, regulated and distinct from other known cell death regulatory mechanisms. FDX1,LIAS,and DLAT named cuproptosis-related genes play an essential role in regulating cuproptosis. Meanwhile, abnormal accumulation of copper can be observed in various malignant tumors. The correlation has been established between elevated copper levels in serum and tissues and the progression of several cancers. Copper transporters, CTR1 and Copper-transporting ATPases(ATP7A and ATP7B), are mainly involved in regulating the dynamic balance of copper concentration to maintain copper homeostasis. Thus,cuproptosis-related genes and copper transporters will be the focus of cancer research in future. This review elaborated the basic functions of cuproptosis-related genes and copper transporters by retrievalling PubMed. And then we analyzed their potential relationship with cancer aiming to provide theoretical support and reference in cancer progression, diagnosis and treatment for future study.

    Abstract Dilatation of soft skin tissue is a common surgical procedure in plastic surgery. M2 macrophages play a critical role in reducing inflammation, promoting epithelial and vascular endothelial cell proliferation, enhancing collagen synthesis in fibroblasts, and orchestrating extracellular matrix remodelling by promoting angiogenesis, epithelialisation, and fibrosis. Macrophages improve flap survival by promoting microangiogenesis and collagen remodelling. However, the role of macrophages in flap expansion has not yet been investigated. Improving the expansion efficiency of dilatation flaps and promoting flap vascularisation are the pressing problems in the fields of plastic and reconstruction surgery. In the present study, we used a mouse model to assess the effects of macrophage activation on skin expansion, thickness, ultrastructure, intradermal angiogenesis, and collagen and cytokine levels. Our findings revealed dynamic changes in the macrophage content and subtypes within the expansion flaps. The enrichment of M2 macrophages significantly enhanced the efficiency of flap expansion, vascularisation, and collagen synthesis. Our findings underline the pivotal role of M2 macrophages in tissue regeneration at the molecular and biochemical levels. These findings provide a basis for improving flap expansion efficiency using M2 macrophages.

    Abstract Surface Plasmonic Resonance (SPR) induced by metallic nanoparticles can be exploited to enhance the response of photodetectors (PD) to a large degree. Since the interface between metallic nanoparticles and semiconductors plays an important role in SPR, the magnitude of the enhancement is highly dependent on the morphology and roughness of the surface where the nanoparticles are distributed. In this work, we used mechanical polishing to produce different surface roughnesses for the ZnO film. Then, we exploited sputtering to fabricate Al nanoparticles on the ZnO film. The size and spacing of the Al nanoparticles were adjusted by sputtering power and time. Finally, we made a comparison among the PD with surface processing only, the Al-nanoparticles-enhanced PD, and the Al-nanoparticles-enhanced PD with surface processing. The results showed that increasing the surface roughness could enhance the photo response due to the augmentation of light scattering. More interestingly, the SPR induced by the Al nanoparticles could be strengthened by increasing the roughness. The responsivity could be enlarged by three orders of magnitude after we introduced surface roughness to boost the SPR. This work revealed the mechanism behind how surface roughness influences SPR enhancement. This provides new means for improving the photo responses of SPR-enhanced photodetectors.
