Abstract Background: Cholesterol granuloma is typically a benign granulomatous growth seen mostly in the mastoid process and the petrous temporal bone. Although cholesterol granuloma in maxillary sinus was first reported in the scientific literature in 1978, the occurrence is very rare and it is usually clinically and radiographically manifested ambiguously as maxillary sinusitis.
Purpose: The presence of cholesterol granuloma in the maxillary sinus in association with a dental pathology or prosthesis has been scarcely known. In this case report, we present a case of cholesterol granuloma in the maxillary sinus of a middle-aged male who had previously undergone dental implant placement in relation to that anatomical location.
Materials and methods: A 64-year-old man reported to the Dental OP with a chief complaint of oral malodor, swelling, and tenderness over the right middle third of the face for the past 3 months. A cone beam computed tomography scan showed a well-defined radio-opaque lesion along with sclerosis and thinning of bone within the right maxillary antrum in relation to the dental implant placed in the 16 regions. The left maxillary sinus appeared normal. The Caldwell-Luc procedure was performed and a solitary soft lesion with yellowish-gray contents was evident within the right maxillary sinus. Histopathological examination revealed cholesterol clefts surrounded by foreign body giant cell reaction and granulation tissue formation, along with the presence of old and recent hemorrhage. A final diagnosis of cholesterol granuloma was made based on the histopathological examination report.
Conclusion: Based on the evidence available in the present case, we hypothesize that the localized trauma and hemorrhage initiated by implant placement in this particular anatomical location could have plausibly resulted in the occurrence of cholesterol granuloma in our patient.

Abstract Purpose: The posterior maxilla presents several challenges to the implant dentist. The pneumatization of the maxillary sinus is one such problem. The management of this problem in the most atraumatic way is important for long-term success of implants placed in this region.
Materials and methods: Articles presenting different techniques of sinus lift are reviewed and presented.
Results: Each technique presented has its own advantages; however, selection of technique should be done cautiously based on long-term results.
Conclusion: This article reviews techniques and presents advantages, disadvantages and success rates where available.

Abstract Objectives: Flapless implant surgery is fast gaining popularity because of several advantages, such as reduced surgical time, postoperative bleeding, and swelling. Studies have shown that flap elevation results in some amount of bone loss. The aim of the current study was to compare the amount of bone loss in procedures using the flapless technique and those where flap elevation was done. Papillary fill was also compared in both techniques, which is unique to this study.
Study design: Forty patients, selected according to certain inclusion and exclusion criteria, were randomly assigned to 1 of 2 groups: Flap (F), or Flapless (FL). The amount of crestal bone loss was measured from standardized radiographs at baseline, 6 months, 1 year, and 2 years after implant placement. Papillary fill was evaluated using the Papillary presence index, which was measured 6 months after loading.
Results: The bone loss was greater for the F group during all time periods and the mean papillary fill was greater for the FL group.
Conclusions: In conclusion, the results of the current study show that flapless implant surgery results in less crestal bone loss both during the healing period and after loading. In addition, it can produce better papillary fill. The cases selected for this study were ideal cases in terms of bone volume and the operator was well experienced, however. Care should be taken during case selection for flapless implant surgery.

Abstract Providing an esthetic restoration in the anterior region of the mouth has been the basis of peri-implant esthetics. To achieve optimal esthetics, in implant supported restorations, various patient and tooth related factors have to be taken into consideration. Peri-implant plastic surgery has been adopted to improve the soft tissue and hard tissue profiles, during and after implant placement. The various factors and the procedures related to enhancement of peri-implant esthetics have been discussed in this review article.

Abstract Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a platelet concentrate that has been used widely to accelerate soft-tissue and hard-tissue healing. The preparation of PRP has been described by several authors. Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) was first described by Choukroun et al. in France. It has been referred to as a second-generation platelet concentrate, which has been shown to have several advantages over traditionally prepared PRP. Its chief advantages include ease of preparation and lack of biochemical handling of blood, which makes this preparation strictly autologous. This article describes the evolution of this novel platelet concentrate, referred to as PRF.

Abstract As of November 2021, more than 24.80 crore people are diagnosed with the coronavirus in that around 50.20 lakhs people lost their lives, because of this infectious disease. By understanding the people's sentiment's expressed in their social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.) helps their governments in controlling, monitoring, and eradicating the coronavirus. Compared to other social media's, the twitter data are indispensable in the extraction of useful awareness information related to any crisis. In this article, a sentiment analysis model is proposed to analyze the real time tweets, which are related to coronavirus. Initially, around 3100 Indian and European people's tweets are collected between the time period of 23.03.2020 to 01.11.2021. Next, the data pre-processing and exploratory investigation are accomplished for better understanding of the collected data. Further, the feature extraction is performed using Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF), GloVe, pre-trained Word2Vec, and fast text embedding's. The obtained feature vectors are fed to the ensemble classifier (Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) and Capsule Neural Network (CapsNet)) for classifying the user's sentiment's as anger, sad, joy, and fear. The obtained experimental outcomes showed that the proposed model achieved 97.28% and 95.20% of prediction accuracy in classifying the both Indian and European people's sentiments.

Abstract Periodontal therapy deals with many aspects of the supporting structures, including the prevention and repair of lesions of the gingival sulcus. Endodontics deals primarily with disease of the pulp and periapical tissues. The success of both periodontal and endodontic therapy depends on the elimination of both disease processes, whether they exist separately or as a combined lesion. The relationship between periodontal and endodontic disease has been a subject of speculation for many years. This paper aims at presenting a comprehensive review of several aspects of perio-endo lesions.

Abstract Maintenance of interdental soft tissue and the need for esthetics are being increasingly recognized as important criteria for implant success. Statistically significant correlations have been found between the incidence of implant failure and vertical bone loss adjacent to implants. Thus, it is widely recognized that peri-implant bone resorption before loading may compromise implant success. This study aims to evaluate the effect of flap elevation on peri-implant bone loss during the healing period. Twenty sites around 10 implants were included in the study, and the effect of 2 different flap designs on the crestal height of bone was evaluated. The results of the study have shown that flap elevation can lead to increased bone loss during the healing period, with statistically significant results up to the 90-day period.
