Abstract Microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) that are based on flexible substrates are widely used in flexible, reconfigurable radio frequency (RF) systems, such as RF MEMS switches, phase shifters, reconfigurable antennas, phased array antennas and resonators, etc. When attempting to accommodate flexible deformation with the movable structures of MEMS, flexible RF MEMS are far more difficult to structurally design and fabricate than rigid MEMS devices or other types of flexible electronics. In this review, we survey flexible RF MEMS with different functions, their flexible film materials and their fabrication process technologies. In addition, a fabrication process for reconfigurable three-dimensional (3D) RF devices based on mechanically guided assembly is introduced. The review is very helpful to understand the overall advances in flexible RF MEMS, and serves the purpose of providing a reference source for innovative researchers working in this field.

Abstract Objective: Depressed scarring is a common complication after incisional upper blepharoplasty and frequently contributes to patient dissatisfaction. Correcting this deformity presents a significant challenge for oculoplastic surgeons. This study aims to investigate the clinical effectiveness of employing the turnover orbicularis-septum composite flap technique in correcting depressed scars after double eyelid surgery.
Methods: This is a retrospective study of 118 patients who underwent revision blepharoplasty with depressed scar from November 2020 to February 2023. During the revision procedure, the adhesions of the original scar were meticulously dissected, and the residual orbital fat was thoroughly released. The orbicularis-septum composite flap was then inverted downward and smoothly laid over the depressed scar area to address the tissue deficit. After surgery, patient satisfaction was evaluated by assessing the improvement of the depressed scars and the shape of the double eyelid folds.
Results: Follow-up assessments were conducted over a period of 6 to 24 months postoperatively. The results were judged as fully satisfied in 78 cases (66.1%), basically satisfied in 32 cases (27.1%), and unsatisfied in 8 cases (6.8%). Among the unsatisfied patients, 5 patients complained of eyelid fold shallow or disappear, and 3 patients complained of asymmetry. All patients exhibited varying degrees of improvement in the depressed scars.
Conclusions: The turnover orbicularis-septum composite flap technique provides an effective approach for the treatment of depressed scars with a high satisfaction rate.

Abstract The development of large-scale and intensive breeding models has led to increasingly prominent oxidative stress issues in animal husbandry production. Chlorogenic acid (CGA) is an important extract with a variety of biological activities. It is an effective antioxidant drug and shows different antioxidant capacities due to its different chemical structures. Therefore, it is a new research target to determine the proportion of chlorogenic acid isomers with high antioxidant activity to resist the damage caused by oxidative stress. In this experiment, the antioxidant activities of the chlorogenic acid monomer and its compounds were compared by a series of in vitro antioxidant indexes. Based on the above experiments, it was found that LB and LC have superior antioxidant abilities (P < 0.05). Subsequently, 300 healthy 1-day-old Arbor Acres (AA) male broilers with no significant difference in body weight (about 44 g) were randomly selected and randomly divided into 5 groups with 6 replicates in each group and 10 chickens in each replicate. One group was the control group, 1 group was the model group, and the remaining 3 groups were the experimental groups. At 37 d of age, animals in the control group were injected with normal saline, and animals in the other 4 groups were injected with 1 mL/kg 5% hydrogen peroxide (H

Abstract Malignant melanoma is one of the most common malignant tumors. Although its incidence rate is generally low among the Chinese population, it has grown rapidly in recent years. The incidence of primary malignant melanoma in the digestive tract is very low. The incidence in the esophagus and rectum are more common, while reports in the colon are only reported in <10 cases. Primary signet ring cell carcinoma of the rectum is also a rare and unique tumor. This paper reports a case of rectal malignant melanoma with signet ring cell carcinoma.

Abstract Thermal stratification and mixing play important roles in the physicochemical composition of lakes and affect the geochemical cycle. However, the regulation of lake carbon exchange at the water-air interface by seasonal thermal structures remains unclear, especially for alpine saline lake on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (QTP). Based on continuous field sampling, carbon dioxide flux (FCO

Abstract Neovascular glaucoma (NVG) is a devastating secondary glaucoma characterized by the appearance of neovascular over the iris and the proliferation of fibrovascular tissue in the anterior chamber angle. Proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) is one of the leading causes of NVG. Currently increasing diabetes population drive the prevalence rate of NVG into a fast-rising lane. The pathogenesis underlying NVG makes it refractory to routine management for other types of glaucoma in clinical practice. The combination of panretinal photocoagulation (PRP), anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) injections, anti-glaucoma drugs, surgical intervention as well as blood glucose control is needed. Early diagnosis and aggressive treatment in time are crucial in halting the neovascularization process and preserving vision. This review provides an overview of NVG secondary to diabetic retinopathy (DR), including the epidemiology, pathogenesis and management, so as to provide a better understanding as well as potential therapeutic strategies for future treatment.
