    Abstract Dyslipidemia, characterized by abnormal lipid levels in the bloodstream, is a very common and underappreciated chronic disease associated with a significant cardiovascular disease burden. The management landscape for dyslipidemia has historically been static, with a sparse selection of therapeutic options. This article presents a comprehensive review of contemporary approaches to dyslipidemia management, focusing on therapeutic strategies and emerging interventions. We delineate the most current American Heart Association/American College of Cardiology & Canadian Cardiovascular Society guidelines and examine pivotal clinical trials that are shaping the contemporary approach to dyslipidemia management.

These viruses have many clinical features, and new features are created daily. Bell's palsy is sporadic facial nerve palsy. The main reason of Bell's palsy is not recognized.     Abstract Thalassemia management has undergone significant development with the advancement in iron chelation therapy, which has led to a prolonged life expectancy. This has been accompanied by the emergence of several new morbidities and chronic diseases, including cancer. Over the years, multiple cases of solid and hematologic malignancies in thalassemia patients have been reported in the literature, with no clear mechanism for the development of cancer in these patients despite a number of potential mechanisms. However, the results of many studies have been contradictory regarding the risk of development of malignancies in thalassemia. The present review aims to discuss the available data on cancer and thalassemia in the literature, with the latest updates regarding possible malignancy development mechanisms, risks, and the most commonly reported types.

    Abstract This study aimed to investigate the understanding and experiences of mothers who have suffered perinatal loss regarding their needs after being discharged from the hospital. Data were collected through semi-structured face-to-face and telephone interviews using purposive sampling with maximum diversity. The sample included 15 mothers and 6 midwives who had experienced fetal loss and perinatal bereavement. The interviews were audio-recorded and transcribed verbatim. Conventional content analysis was used to analyze the data. Sampling was conducted from July 2022 to March 2023, continuing until data saturation was reached. The study identified 2 main categories of needs for mothers who have experienced perinatal loss: continuous healthcare (including the Comprehensive Mother Tracking System, provision of psychological welfare, and educational needs) and provision of a support network, including "spouse and family support" and "peer and colleague support." The primary theme of this study was "Deliberating Care for Grieving Mothers." The study results indicate that mothers who experience perinatal loss require continuity of care after being discharged. Psychological screening and counseling support are essential for both parents. Considering the significant impact of spousal, familial, and community support on an individual's life, it is crucial to prepare the community to comprehend and embrace grieving parents.

    Abstract The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the ketogenic diet and periodontitis, as well as the nature of such relationship. Furthermore, emphasis was given to know whether ketogenic diet causes changes in oral health parameters and more specifically on periodontal health. Studies from 2010 to 2023 were reviewed and analyzed. Databases used to search included PubMed, Mednet, Scopus, Cochrane, and Embase. The literature reviewed was limited to randomized clinical trials, observational studies, and case-control studies. Of the eight studies included, three studies found that diets with similarities to the ketone-based diet could have a significant positive impact on periodontal health. One study pointed to the potential positive effect of a diet such as keto, but no definitive conclusion could be made. The current body of evidence concluded that there may be a relationship between keto and periodontitis, although the evidence is not consistent. It can be implied, however, that it is a positive relationship as ketogenic diet has been shown to have an anti-inflammatory effect, reducing inflammatory markers found in many diseases, including periodontitis.

    Abstract Background: Due to their overlapping radiological characteristics, hepatic lesions, such as hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and hepatocellular adenoma (HCA), present a substantial diagnostic challenge. Accurate differentiation between HCC and HCA is essential for the best clinical treatment and therapeutic decision-making. This study aims to assess the potential role of DCE-MRI and Apparent Diffusion Coefficient (ADC) quantitation in the diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) from hepatocellular adenoma (HCA).
    Methods: 103 patients (56 HCC, 47 HCA) with histopathologically proven hepatocellular lesions were the subjects of a cross-sectional investigation. A standardized imaging technique was used for DCE-MRI on all patients. Diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) provided the ADC values. The diagnostic efficacy of DCE-MRI and ADC in differentiation was evaluated using statistical analyses, such as t-tests and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis. SPSS VER 16 was used for the analysis of the collected data.
    Results: A total of 103 patients (female: male= 52:51, 57.14±3.09 years) were included in the study. The study revealed significant differences in DCE-MRI parameters and ADC values between HCC and HCA lesions. ADC value was significantly lower in HCC than in HCA (p < 0.001). The area under the curve (AUC) was 0.78 (95% CI: 0.69-0.87) for ADC, 0.84 (95% CI: 0.76-0.91) for Ktrans, and 0.72 (95% CI: 0.62-0.82) for Ve. Sensitivity and specificity for ADC were 76.59% and 71.42%, respectively. Also, PPV and NPV of ADC were 69.23% and 78.43%, respectively. Sensitivity and specificity for Ktrans were 82.14% and 76.59%, respectively. Also, PPV and NPV of Ktrans were 80.7% and 78.26%, respectively.
    Conclusion: In conclusion, DCE-MRI-derived parameters, along with ADC values, exhibit promise as non-invasive tools for differentiating HCC from HCA.
