Abstract The supply chain management (SCM) of COVID-19 vaccine is the most daunting task for logistics and supply managers due to temperature sensitivity and complex logistics process. Therefore, several technologies have been applied but the complexity of COVID-19 vaccine makes the Internet of Things (IoT) a strong use case due to its multiple features support like excursion notification, data sharing, connectivity management, secure shipping, real-time tracking and monitoring etc. All these features can only feasible through choosing and deploying the right IoT platform. However, selection of right IoT platform is also a major concern due to lack of experience and technical knowledge of supply chain managers and diversified landscape of IoT platforms. Therefore, we introduce a decision making model for evaluation and decision making of IoT platforms that fits for logistics and transportation (L&T) process of COVID-19 vaccine. This study initially identifies the major challenges addressed during the SCM of COVID-19 vaccine and then provides reasonable solution by presenting the assessment model for selection of rational IoT platform. The proposed model applies hybrid Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) approach for evaluation. It also adopts Estimation-Talk-Estimation (ETE) approach for response collection during the survey. As, this is first kind of model so the proposed model is validated and tested by conducting a survey with experts. The results of the proposed decision making model are also verified by Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) technique which indicates higher results accuracy and reliability of the proposed model. Similarly, the proposed model yields the best possible results and it can be judged by the precision, accuracy and recall values i.e. 93%, 93% and 94% respectively. The survey-based testing also suggests that this model can be adopted in practical scenarios to deal with complexities which may arise during the decision making of IoT platform for COVID-19 SCM process.

Abstract The connection between ecological footprint and economic complexity has significant implications for environmental sustainability regarding the policy. Additionally, institutional quality is crucial in ensuring environmental sustainability and moderating the link between economic complexity and ecological footprint. The task of achieving sustainable environmental development and preventing further degradation of the environment poses a formidable challenge to policymakers. This study delves into the significance of technology innovation and renewable energy in creating a more sustainable environment. Recognizing the need for a more critical review, this research establishes the dynamic linkage between ecological footprint, renewable energy consumption, and technological innovation, especially in conjunction with a moderating component, particularly institutional quality, in G20 countries from 1990 to 2021. We employ advanced panel approaches to address panel data analysis concerns, such as cross-sectional dependence, slope heterogeneity, unit root, cointegration test and CS-ARDL. The long-term estimator indicates that renewable energy and technological innovation negatively but significantly impact the ecological footprint. Whilst economic growth, FDI, and urbanization have shown a positive and significant impact on ecological footprint; institutional quality negatively moderates the relationship between ecological footprint, renewable energy, and technological innovation in the G20 countries. Further evidence from the Dumitrescu-Hurlin Granger causality test shows that efforts to expand access to renewable energy, technological advancements, and economic growth will significantly affect environmental impacts. Based on our results, it is imperative to introduce more favorable legislation and encourage technological advancements in the field of renewable energy if we want to achieve our sustainable development objectives.

Abstract The significant proliferation in the mobile health applications (Apps) amidst Coronaviruses disease 2019 (COVID-19) resulted in decision making problems for healthcare professionals, decision makers and mobile users in Pakistan. This decision making process is also hampered by mobile app trade-offs, multiple features support, evolving healthcare needs and varying vendors. In this regard, evaluation model for mobile apps is presented which completes in three different phases. In first phase, features-based criteria is designed by leveraging Delphi method, and twenty (20) mobile apps are selected from app stores. In second stage, empirical evaluation is performed by using hybrid multi criteria decision approaches like CRiteria Importance Through Inter-criteria Correlation (CRITIC) method has been used for assigning weights to criteria features; and Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method has been used for assessment of mobile app alternatives. In last step, decision making is performed to select the best mobile app for COVID-19 situations. The results suggest that proposed model can be adopted as a guideline by mobile app subscribers, patients and healthcare professionals.

Abstract This study investigates the heterogeneous impact of air transport intensity, air passenger transport, and air freight transport on air transport carbon emissions in G20 countries for the period of 1990-2016. The paper employs a robust and advanced fixed-effect panel quantile regression model that considers unobserved discrete and distributional heterogeneity. Our empirical results show that the impact of the independent variables on air transport carbon emissions is quite heterogeneous across various quantiles. More specifically, the effect of air transport intensity, air passenger transport, and air freight transport on carbon emissions is positive and becomes more assertive with the increasing trend at upper quantiles and is quite heterogeneous across all quantiles. Economic growth, urbanization, and tourism are significant contributing factors in enhancing air transport CO

Abstract Introduction: Obesity and increased BMI has raised concerns throughout the globe. As obesity is often associated with many serious medical conditions. Obesity, older age and gender are major contributing factors for knee replacement surgeries. We aimed to compare the mean duration of surgery in obese and non-obese patients undergoing total knee replacement.
Methods: A Cross-sectional study is conducted at the orthopedic department at Shifa international hospital, Islamabad during June 2021-Dec 2021. Study is conducted to assess the effect of BMI on duration of total knee arthroplasty. Sample size was calculated to be 105 with 95% confidence limit. Data will be analyzed using SPSS version 22. Quantitative variables like age, BMI and duration of surgery were presented as mean and standard deviation. Qualitative variables like gender, laterality (unilateral/bilateral), and ASA were presented as frequency and percentage.
Results: There were more females undergoing the procedure than males. The predominant age group was found to be 56-65 years. On BMI classification scale, a far greater number of individuals were found to be obese constituting more than ⅗ of the study population and almost ⅕ of the patients were overweight. The Association of BMI Classification & Duration of Surgery has a significant p value of 0.00.
Conclusion: A linear and direct relation was observed between body mass index and duration of surgery. There may be other contributing factors and will need more data and research.

Abstract The choice of this study has a significant impact on daily life. In various fields such as journalism, academia, business, and more, large amounts of text need to be processed quickly and efficiently. Text summarization is a technique used to generate a precise and shortened summary of spacious texts. The generated summary sustains overall meaning without losing any information and focuses on those parts that contain useful information. The goal is to develop a model that converts lengthy articles into concise versions. The task to be solved is to select an effective procedure to develop the model. Although the present text summarization models give us good results in many recognized datasets such as cnn/daily- mail, newsroom, etc. All the problems can not be resolved by these models. In this paper, a new text summarization method has been proposed: combining the Extractive and Abstractive Text Summarization technique. In the extractive-based method, the model generates a summary using Sentence Ranking Algorithm and passes this generated summary through an abstractive method. When using the sentence ranking algorithm, after rearranging the sentences, the relationship between one sentence and another sentence is destroyed. To overcome this situation, Pronoun to Noun conversion has been proposed with the new system. After generating the extractive summary, the generated summary is passed through the abstractive method. The proposed abstractive model consists of three pre-trained models: google/pegusus-xsum, face-book/bart-large-cnn model, and Yale-LILY/brio-cnndm-uncased, which generates a final summary depending on the maximum final score. The following results were obtained: experimental results on CNN/daily-mail dataset show that the proposed model obtained scores of ROUGE-1, ROUGE-2 and ROUGE-L are respectively 42.67 %, 19.35 %, and 39.57 %. Then, the result has been compared with three state-of-the-art methods: JEANS, DEATS and PGAN-ATSMT. The results outperform state-of-the-art models. Experimental results ...
