Abstract The delineation of the open-pit mining boundary, particularly in the context of medium to long-term planning, forms the foundation of mining design. However, due to the non-linear and dynamic nature of the economic and technical parameters influencing boundary delineation, determining the optimal mining boundary can be exceedingly challenging. Currently, most boundary optimization methods assume that block parameters remain fixed, which results in enterprises assuming a certain level of risk when facing changes in internal and external conditions. In this regard, this paper introduces the concept of "achievement degree" to reflect the risk associated with the results of boundary design. Using coal prices as an example, this article applies the predicted coal price curve to boundary optimization adjustments by specifying the "achievement degree" requirements for various time periods, thereby facilitating risk-controlled and economically optimal boundary decisions. Taking the illustrative case of an idealized small-scale inclined coal seam open-pit mine, adjustments to the boundary closely track variations in coal prices, further enhancing returns. The results demonstrate that the method proposed in this paper can increase overall revenue by approximately 51.15% within the forecast period, while effectively managing risks.

Abstract The Dunhua-Mishan fault, located in the northern segment of the Tanlu fault zone, experienced multiple tectonic processes associated with the effects of the Pacific Plate subduction and the Indo-Asia collision. The high-resolution fault-scale structure is critical for understanding the fault evolution and potential fault damage. However, the well-defined deep structure of the Dunhua-Mishan fault is still unclear due to the lack of the dense seismic array. In this study, we construct a high-resolution P-wave receiver function imaging based on linear dense seismic array across the fault. Our results reveal the strong Moho depth variation across the Dunhua-Mishan fault zone. The slightly higher Vp/Vs ratio values within the fault zone indicate the presence of a small amount of mafic crust composition. Interestingly, the significant double positive Ps converted phases are observed within the fault zone, which may represent double Moho discontinuities. The double Moho structure may be related to multiple significant tectonic activities in the Tanlu northern segment. These newly observed structures provide new seismic constraints on the formation and evolution of the Tanlu fault zone and probably reflect that the lithospheric structure of the Dunhua-Mishan fault has been modified by a series of tectonic processes.

Abstract This paper proposes a feature selection method based on a hybrid optimization algorithm that combines the Golden Jackal Optimization (GJO) and Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO). The primary objective of this method is to create an effective data dimensionality reduction technique for eliminating redundant, irrelevant, and noisy features within high-dimensional datasets. Drawing inspiration from the Chinese idiom "Chai Lang Hu Bao," hybrid algorithm mechanisms, and cooperative behaviors observed in natural animal populations, we amalgamate the GWO algorithm, the Lagrange interpolation method, and the GJO algorithm to propose the multi-strategy fusion GJO-GWO algorithm. In Case 1, the GJO-GWO algorithm addressed eight complex benchmark functions. In Case 2, GJO-GWO was utilized to tackle ten feature selection problems. Experimental results consistently demonstrate that under identical experimental conditions, whether solving complex benchmark functions or addressing feature selection problems, GJO-GWO exhibits smaller means, lower standard deviations, higher classification accuracy, and reduced execution times. These findings affirm the superior optimization performance, classification accuracy, and stability of the GJO-GWO algorithm.

Abstract Polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (PolSAR) images are classified mainly according to the backscattering information of ground objects. For regions with complex backscattering information, misclassification is easy to occur, which leads to challenges in improving the classification accuracy of the PolSAR image. Given this situation, this paper combines the Deep Learning Model and traditional classifiers to classify PolSAR image. First, the Convolution Neural Network (CNN) was used to classify the PolSAR image and according to the category prediction probability of pixels, the key pixels easily misclassified are located. Then, the adaptive boosting (AdaBoost) algorithm combined the three shallow classifiers (the Support Vector Machine (SVM), the Wishart and the Decision Tree classifier) into strong classifiers to reclassify the key pixels. Finally, the labels of key pixels and other pixels are output as the final classification result. Experiments on two PolSAR images show that the proposed method can improve classification performance and obtain better classification results.

Abstract Objectives: Prostate cancer holds the second-highest incidence rate among all male malignancies, with a noticeable scarcity of effective treatment approaches. The REST Corepressor 1 (RCOR1) protein exhibits elevated expression across various tumors, acting as an oncogene. Nevertheless, its functions and mechanisms in prostate cancer have yet to be documented. While miR-23 demonstrates reduced expression in prostate cancer, the downstream genes it regulates remain unclear.
Methods: RT-qPCR and Western blotting assays were utilized to elucidate the mRNA and protein levels of miR-23b-3p and RCOR1. The luciferase reporter assay was employed to unveil the targeting relationship between miR-23b-3p and RCOR1. Additionally, a CCK-8 assay demonstrated cell growth, while colony formation and Transwell assays were performed to observe clone formation, cell migration, and invasion.
Results: In this study, we observed substantial mRNA and protein levels of RCOR1 in prostate cancer cells such as DU145, PC3, and LNCap. RCOR1 overexpression enhanced the growth, colony formation, migration, and invasion of prostate cancer cells, whereas genetic silencing of RCOR1 suppressed these processes. Bioinformatics analysis identified miR-23b-3p as a potential regulator of RCOR1, and luciferase assays validated RCOR1 as a downstream target of miR-23b-3p. Increasing miR-23b-3p mimics diminished RCOR1's mRNA and protein levels, while raising miR-23b-3p levels boosted RCOR1's expression. Moreover, the stimulatory impact of RCOR1 on prostate cancer cell development could be countered by elevating miR-23b-3p mimics.
Conclusion: In summary, our findings confirm that RCOR1 is indeed under the influence of miR-23, shedding light on the miR-23/RCOR1 pathway's role in prostate cancer development. This offers novel theoretical and experimental support for comprehending the underlying mechanisms of prostate cancer and for targeted therapeutic avenues.
