Abstract Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a rapidly emerging infectious disease caused by SARS-CoV-2. Inflammatory factors may play essential roles in COVID-19 progression. Huashi Baidu Decoction (HSBD) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula that can expel cold, dispel dampness, and reduce inflammation. HSBD has been widely used for the treatment of COVID-19. However, the active ingredients and potential targets for HSBD to exert anti-inflammatory or anti-SARS-CoV-2 effects remain unclear. In this paper, the active ingredients with anti-inflammatory or anti-viral effects in HSBD and their potential targets were screened using the Discovery Studio 2020 software. By overlapping the targets of HSBD and COVID-19, 8 common targets (FYN, SFTPD, P53, RBP4, IL1RN, TTR, SRPK1, and AKT1) were identified. We determined 2 key targets (P53 and AKT1) by network pharmacology. The main active ingredients in HSBD were evaluated using the key targets as receptor proteins for molecular docking. The results suggested that the best active ingredients Kaempferol2 and Kaempferol3 have the potential as supplements for the treatment of COVID-19.

Abstract The rapidly expanding field of circular RNA (circ-RNA) research has opened new avenues in cancer diagnostics and treatment, highlighting the role of serum circRNAs as potential biomarkers for assessing tumor therapy resistance. This review comprehensively compiles existing knowledge regarding the biogenesis, function, and clinical relevance of circRNAs, emphasizing their stability, abundance, and cell type-specific expression profiles, which make them ideal candidates for noninvasive early biomarkers in cancer treatment. We explored the roles of circRNAs in oncogenesis and tumor progression and their complex interactions with patient responses to various cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy. Through the analysis of data from recent studies and clinical trials, we underscore the prognostic significance of serum circRNAs in predicting therapeutic outcomes, their involvement in resistance mechanisms, and their capacity to inform personalized treatment approaches. Additionally, this review addresses the obstacles inherent in circRNA research, including the need for standardized protocols for circRNA extraction and quantification and the elucidation of the clinical significance of circRNAs. Furthermore, our investigation extends to future prospects, including embedding circRNA profiling into regular clinical workflows and pioneering circRNA-based therapeutic approaches. We underscore the transformative potential of serum circRNAs in enhancing cancer diagnosis, improving the accuracy of therapy tolerance predictions, and ultimately fostering the advent of precision oncology.

Abstract Background: Giant coronary artery aneurysms (GCAAs) were relatively rare. Little was known about its characteristics, its etiology and its therapy. GCAAs with multiple abdominal artery aneurysms (AAAs) were more unusual and rarer.
Case presentation: A 29-year-old female presented to our hospital with abrupt-onset abdominal pain in the left upper quadrant and then she died in 2018. In 2016, prior to this visit, she came to our department for intermittent retrosternal compression pain during rest or sports activities. Medical history showed she had a coronary artery aneurysm (CAA) in 2004. We found evidence of multiple coronary aneurysms with severe stenosis and multiple AAAs and coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) was carried out. In combination with laboratory analysis, imaging studies, and pathological examination, CAA may result from the long-term effects of Kawasaki disease (KD). Finally, the patient died of a ruptured abdominal aneurysm.
Conclusions: We report a rare case of GCAAs with severe stenosis and multiple AAAs in a young woman with a history of KD-induced coronary aneurysm. Although the understanding of the optimal treatment strategy for GCAAs combined with multiple aneurysms was limited, we found that CABG was effective in the treatment of GCAAs in this patient. In the clinical treatment of patients with GCAAs, attention should be paid to the examination of systemic blood vessels.

Abstract The global demand for radio frequency (RF) modules and components has grown exponentially in recent decades. RF switches are the essential unit in RF front-end and reconfigurable systems leading to the rapid development of novel and advanced switch technology. Germanium telluride (GeTe), as one of the Chalcogenide phase-change materials, has been applied as an RF switch due to its low insertion loss, high isolation, fast switching speed, and low power consumption in recent years. In this review, an in-depth exploration of GeTe film characterization is presented, followed by a comparison of the device structure of directly heated and indirectly heated RF phase-change switches (RFPCSs). Focusing on the prototypical structure of indirectly heated RFPCSs as the reference, the intrinsic properties of each material layer and the rationale behind the material selection is analyzed. Furthermore, the design size of each material layer of the device and its subsequent RF performance are summarized. Finally, we cast our gaze toward the promising future prospects of RFPCS technology.

Abstract The geometric structure of azido Pt(IV) compounds containing picoline was calculated by using density functional theory(DFT) at the LSDA/SDD level. The ESP distribution shows the possible reaction sites of the compounds. In addition, the frequency calculation results assigned the infrared spectra of these compounds, and specified important stretching and bending vibrations. The HOMO-LUMO energy gaps of these compounds are also calculated to explain the charge transfer of the molecules. The distribution of Mulliken charges and natural atomic charges of these atoms is also calculated. Natural bond orbital(NBO) analysis explains the intramolecular interactions and their electron density.
