Abstract Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have rapidly become a prevalent photovoltaic technology owing to their simple structure, low processing cost, and remarkable increase in solar-to-electric power conversion efficiency (PCE). However, the intermittent nature of solar radiation induces some technical and financial challenges for its practical applications as a reliable power source. To address this issue, the integration of PSCs with supercapacitors (SCs) in the form of integrated photo-supercapacitors (IPSs) has gathered significant attention. This integration can balance energy availability and demand, reduce energy wastage, and stabilize power output for portable and wearable electronics. Meanwhile, the excellent optoelectronic properties with mixed electronic and ionic conductivity of metal halide perovskites (MHPs) have expanded their application as electrode and electrolyte materials for SCs and photo-supercapacitors (PSs) applications. This review provides an all-inclusive summary of the current state-of-the-art research progress of PSCs-IPSs and MHPs-based SCs and PSs by highlighting their basics and integration approaches. It also discusses the challenges and prospects of these materials and technologies.

Abstract Novel nickel nitroprusside (NNP) nanoparticles with incorporated graphene nanoplatelets (NNP/GnP) were used for the first time as a low-cost and effective counter electrode (CE) for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). NNP was synthesized at a low-temperature (25 °C) solution process with suitable purity and crystallinity with a size range from 5 to 10 nm, as confirmed by different spectroscopic and microscopic analyses. The incorporation of an optimized amount of GnP (0.2 wt%) into the NNP significantly improved the electrocatalytic behavior for the redox reaction of iodide (I

Abstract Being persecuted and expelled from Myanmar, Rohingya refugees are now distributed throughout the world. The Southeast Asian nation of Malaysia has been a preferred destination for Rohingyas fleeing Myanmar's state-sponsored genocide and more recently in a bid to change their fates from the refugee camps in Bangladesh. Refugees are one of the most vulnerable groups in Malaysia and often face dire circumstances, in which their health and wellbeing are compromised. Amidst a plethora of structural challenges, Rohingya refugees try to claim some of their rights with the aid of the UN card (UNHCR ID cards) in Malaysia. Guided by the culture-centered approach (CCA), this study examined the perspectives and experiences of healthcare among Rohingya refugees while living in Malaysia, now resettled in Aotearoa, New Zealand. The participants' narratives showed that the UN card not only materialized their refugee status in Malaysia but also offered them a way of living in a world where documents anchor the materiality of health.

Abstract Objective: This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to establish the most appropriate posterior reference point on the tragus of the ear for orienting the occlusal plane in complete denture prosthesis, addressing the existing confusion regarding this crucial anatomical landmark. Methods: A comprehensive literature search identified 20 relevant articles, with 12 meeting the inclusion criteria as original clinical experimental studies. Statistical analysis was performed to assess the preferred location on the tragus for aligning with the Fox plane. Results: Among the reviewed studies, 72.72% favored the inferior or lower border of the tragus as the optimal posterior reference point for aligning with the Fox plane. This choice was in contrast to the tip or middle point (18.18%) and the superior border (9.09%) of the tragus, which showed less tendency to parallel with the occlusal plane. Conclusion: Based on the findings of this systematic review and meta-analysis, it is concluded that the inferior border of the tragus is the most definitive posterior reference point for establishing the Ala-Tragus line during complete denture prosthesis. This consensus can guide clinicians in achieving accurate occlusal plane orientation and enhance the quality of complete denture prostheses.

Abstract To explore the combined effects of exercise and melatonin supplement against the challenges of isoproterenol-induced cardiac oxidative stress and injury in rats., the expression of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma co-activator-1α (PGC-1α), mitochondrial biogenesis, and adenosine triphosphate (ATP) was up-regulated in cardiac muscle in normal rats and in a melatonin and exercise regimented group. Cardiac injury was induced by two subcutaneous injections of isoproterenol in the rats. The combination of exercise and melatonin supplement successfully counteracted the isoproterenol-induced cardiac injury, which is reflected by the improved hemodynamic parameters, reduction in oxidative stress markers, and cardiac injury serum markers (cardiac troponin-I and creatine kinase-MB). The cardiac tissue level of ATP, expression of PGC-1α and mitochondrial biogenesis-related genes, mitochondrial membrane potential, and the activities of typical antioxidants (glutathione, superoxide dismutase) were preserved, whereas the levels of reactive oxygen species, lipid peroxidation, and inflammatory cytokines were suppressed in the melatonin and exercise regimented (MEI) group compared to the group treated with isoproterenol alone. Furthermore, the expression of endoplasmic reticular stress- and apoptosis-related proteins (Bax, Bcl2, and caspase-3) was also effectively suppressed in the MEI group. Therefore, the present study suggests that melatonin supplement in combination with exercise prevents cardiac injury, possibly through the preservation of mitochondrial function and inhibition of oxidative stress in rats.

Abstract Here, we present the genomic features of Pseudomonas aeruginosa TG523, which was isolated from the gut of a healthy Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). With a genome size of 6,381,902 bp with 5,931 open reading frames, the genome harbored genes predicted to have antibacterial activity and those which are implicated in virulence.
