Abstract | Background: The incidence of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) and its significance in kidney transplant recipients is not well established. We conducted this systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the incidence of and complications from IBD in adult kidney transplant recipients. Methods: Eligible articles were searched through Ovid MEDLINE, EMBASE, and the Cochrane Library from inception through April 2020. The inclusion criteria were adult kidney transplant patients with reported IBD.
