Abstract Pu-erh tea is a famous tea worldwide, and identification of the geographical origin of Pu-erh tea can not only protect manufacture's interests, but also boost consumers' confidence. However, tree age may also influence the fingerprints of Pu-erh tea. In order to study the effects of the geographical origin and tree age on the interactions of stable isotopes and multi-elements of Pu-erh tea, 53 Pu-erh tea leaves with three different age stages from three different areas in Yunnan were collected in 2023. Abstract To study the rheological and aging properties of vegetable oil-based polyurethane (V-PU) modified asphalt, V-PU terminated with an -NCO group was synthesized from renewable castor oil, and liquefied MDI-100LL and 10-40 wt% V-PU modified asphalts were prepared. Temperature classification, multiple stress creep recovery (MSCR), and linear amplitude scanning (LAS) tests were carried out. The results showed that the modulus, the creep recovery rate (R), and the yield stress and yield strain of the V-PU modified asphalts significantly increased in the order: 0 wt% < 10 wt% < 20 wt% < 40 wt% < 30 wt%, while the phase angle and the unrecoverable creep compliance (Jnr) changed in the opposite order, and the high temperature grade of 30 wt% V-PU modified asphalt was 4 grades higher than that of the base asphalt, which indicated that the addition of V-PU enhanced the fatigue, permanent deformation, and recovery deformation resistance. The 30 wt% sample exhibited phase inversion had the best performance. Comprehensive FTIR, GPC, and fluorescence microscopy analyses showed that the molecular weight significantly increased and the V-PU molecules agglomerated after aging. The excess -NCO groups of V-PU prepolymer react with water in the air and the active hydrogen in the asphalt system and finally form a cross-linked three-dimensional network structure with the asphalt to improve performance. The mechanism of intramolecular cementation reaction and the aging process of V-PU modified asphalt was creatively derived.

Abstract In order to reveal the correlation effect on the electronic properties in particular 5f electron occupation numbers of Pu/U ions in a (Pu,U) mixed oxide-PuUO4, a first principles calculation is performed by using density functional theory (DFT) plus a dynamical mean field theory (DMFT) scheme with the spin-orbit coupling (SOC) and on-site Coulomb repulsion for correlation effect due to localized Pu/U 5f orbitals. Results demonstrate that Pu/U 5f electron occupation numbers in the ground state of PuUO4 are mainly composed of 5f4/5f5 and 5f2/5f3 configurations, and exhibiting the intermediate occupation (IO) numbers with average 5f occupation numbers of about nf = 4.879 and 2.423 for Pu and U ions, respectively, irrespective of different Pu and U lattice sites in PuUO4. Pu 5f j = 5/2 and j = 7/2 components are in moderately and weakly correlated states, respectively, while U 5f j = 5/2 and j = 7/2 manifolds are both in weakly correlated states. jj and LS coupling schemes are feasible for Pu and U 5f electrons, respectively. In order to directly compare with the experimental angle-resolved photoemission spectrum (ARPES), we also estimate the momentum-resolved electronic spectrum function for this system.

Abstract Flexible electronics have demonstrated various strategies to enhance the sensory ability for tactile perception and wearable physiological monitoring. Fibrous microstructures have attracted much interest because of their excellent mechanical properties and fabricability. Herein, a structurally robust fibrous mat was first fabricated by electrospinning, followed by a sequential process of functionalization utilizing ultrasonication treatment and in situ polymerization growth. Electrospun polyurethane (PU) microfibers were anchored with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) to form conductive paths along each fiber by a scalable ultrasonic cavitation treatment in an MWCNT suspension. After, a layer of poly(3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene) (PEDOT) was grown on the surface of PU fibers decorated with MWCNTs to enhance the conductive conjunctions of MWCNTs. Due to the superior electromechanical behaviors and mechanical reinforcement of PEDOT, the PEDOT/MWCNT@PU mat-based device exhibits a wide working range (0-70 kPa), high sensitivity (1.6 kPa

Abstract A joint determination of the reactor antineutrino spectra resulting from the fission of ^{235}U and ^{239}Pu has been carried out by the Daya Bay and PROSPECT Collaborations. This Letter reports the level of consistency of ^{235}U spectrum measurements from the two experiments and presents new results from a joint analysis of both data sets. The measurements are found to be consistent. The combined analysis reduces the degeneracy between the dominant ^{235}U and ^{239}Pu isotopes and improves the uncertainty of the ^{235}U spectral shape to about 3%. The ^{235}U and ^{239}Pu antineutrino energy spectra are unfolded from the jointly deconvolved reactor spectra using the Wiener-SVD unfolding method, providing a data-based reference for other reactor antineutrino experiments and other applications. This is the first measurement of the ^{235}U and ^{239}Pu spectra based on the combination of experiments at low- and highly enriched uranium reactors.

Abstract The authenticity of the geographical origin of agricultural products has received widespread attention. Tea tree varieties, processing processes and origins influence the quality and price of raw pu-erh tea (RPT). This study distinguished RPT from 10 different production areas through headspace solid-phase microextraction-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (HS-SPME-GC-MS) combined with orthogonal partial least squares–discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) model and machine learning algorithms. Among the thirty-five types of common volatiles identified, pentanal, heptanal, naphthalene, cedrol, and 2,6-di-tert-butylbenzoquinone were considered the key differential compounds distinguishing the 10 different production areas of the RPT samples through the screening of variable importance in projection values of the OPLS-DA and coefficient weights of the linear discriminant analysis function. Among them, heptanal and 2,6-di-tert-butylbenzoquinone had the highest content in West of Bingdao and the lowest content in Nannuoshan. The random forest algorithm achieved a discrimination accuracy of 98.4% based on the discrimination of five key compounds in 63 RPT samples. The random forest model was demonstrated to be reliable and valid by using receiver operating characteristic curves (area under the curve = 0.7603). The study results serve as a reference for the differentiation of 10 production areas of RPT.

Abstract Monitoring cortisol, a hormone released by the adrenal cortex in response to stress, is essential to evaluate the endocrine response to stress stimuli. While the current cortisol sensing methods require large laboratory settings, complex assay, and professional personnel. Herein, a novel flexible and wearable electrochemical aptasensor based on a Ni–Co metal-organic frameworks (MOF) nanosheet-decorated carbon nanotubes (CNTs)/polyurethane (PU) film is developed for rapid and reliable detection of cortisol in sweat. First, the CNTs/PU (CP) film was prepared by a modified wet spinning technology, and the CNTs/polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) solution was thermally deposited on the surface of CP film to form the highly flexible CNTs/PVA/CP (CCP) film with excellent conductivity. Then aminated Ni–Co MOF nanosheet prepared by a facile solvothermal method was conjugated with streptavidin and modified on the CCP film. Biofunctional MOF can effectively capture cortisol aptamer due to its excellent specific surface area. In addition, the MOF with peroxidase activity can catalytic oxidization of hydroquinone (HQ) by hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂), which could amplify the peak current signal. The catalytic activity of Ni–Co MOF was substantially suppressed in the HQ/H₂O₂ system due to the formation of the aptamer-cortisol complex, which reduced the current signal, thereby realizing highly sensitive and selective detection of cortisol. The sensor has a linear range of 0.1–100 ng/mL and a detection limit of 0.032 ng/mL. Meanwhile, the sensor showed high accuracy for cortisol detection under mechanical deformation conditions. More importantly, the prepared MOF/CCP film based three-electrode was assembled with the polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) substrate, and the sweat-cloth was used as the sweat collection channel to fabricate a wearable sensor patch for monitoring of cortisol in volunteers’ sweat in the morning and evening. This flexible and non-invasive sweat cortisol aptasensor shows great potential for quantitative stress monitoring and management.
